System's POV - Chapter 889
Chapter 889: Bug Buster
Bee Bee Cee was one of the most popular news broadcasts, so almost everyone paid close attention to the events happening in the Cygni Continent through their live broadcast.
As viewers, it didn’t take them long to notice the monsters acting weirdly.
Instead of attacking the Wanderers, they were busy attacking each other. The different factions even started to wonder if the beetles had gone berserk or if something had made them go berserk.
Douglas Griffin, the Monarch of the Griffin Clan, watched the battle with great interest.
He noticed that, while the beetles were busy attacking each other, the soldiers took the opportunity to unleash a barrage of artillery shells at them.
‘Did the Central Government develop a new weapon?’ Douglas thought.
That was the only explanation he could think of as he looked at the thousands of beetles dying helplessly, one after the other.
They didn’t even bother to charge at the human army despite being only hundreds of meters away from them.
The Bombardier Beetles, known for their long-range attacks, weren’t doing anything either.
They were the most painful to deal with, but they oddly only stood by, as if waiting for the 69th Battalion to massacre them.
Amidst all the chaos, Thirteen stood out like a sore thumb, drinking some fruit juice as he sat on a beach chair as if he were on vacation.
The cameraman made sure to get a good shot of the teenage boy, who seemed to be completely relaxed as the battle intensified.
As if on cue, Rein approached Zion and asked him some questions.
“Sir, I noticed the Beetles are acting weirdly,” Rein said. “Do you know what’s happening?”
“Of course, I know,” Thirteen replied before taking out a small package from his dimensional storage. “We are using the new product of the Zion Enterprise called the ‘Bug Buster’.
“They are very user-friendly and can kill bugs without fail. If you know someone who looks like a bug, chances are, this can kill them too.”
“Are you serious?” Rein inquired, barely able to keep the smile on her face from breaking.
“It’s just a joke,” Thirteen chuckled. “Also, remember to store it in a safe and dry place, away from the reach of children. We also have the Ant Buster, which specializes in dealing with ants and termites.
“If you have bug problems, look no further! Buy these products at the nearest stores in your local area. Even Jinns don’t stand a chance against them.”
The lips of Arthur, Douglas, Lawrence, Tristan, and the Patriarchs of the Monarch Clans and Prestigious Families couldn’t help but twitch, realizing Zion was shamelessly advertising.
Rein, bribed to participate in this product advertisement, praised Zion’s new product and said she would make sure to buy one as soon as possible.
“… Do they sell those here?” Douglas asked his secretary.
“No, Sir,” the Secretary replied.
“Secure a stock as soon as possible.”
“Yes, Sir.”
Similar conversations happened all over Pangea.
Even if they thought Zion was just exaggerating, it wouldn’t hurt to get a few samples and have their people study if it was really as potent as the teenage boy claimed.
Watching this at home, Gerald laughed out loud, thinking his son really knew how to take advantage of any situation.
On the contrary, Alessia’s face reddened out of embarrassment. Her mother-in-law, Lady Callista, was also watching beside her.
“Zion is really a handful.” Lady Callista smiled faintly, amused by her grandson’s confidence to make jokes on live television despite sitting in the middle of an intense battle.

After interviewing Zion, the Bee Bee Cee crew once again shifted their attention to the battlefield.
Half of the beetle army was dead, and there was not a single casualty on the Wanderer’s side.
Just as everyone expected, the battle finally ended half an hour later.
The monsters that had gone out of control were dispatched by the 69th Battalion, whose members were overwhelmed by how easy the battle had been.
Of course, they knew that if the beetle army fought seriously, many of their comrades might have died in the process.
Erica, Derek, Mildred, and Joshua exchanged knowing glances with each other.
Shana wasn’t part of the Knights of the Apocalypse, but aware of some of Zion’s secrets, she stared at her friends as if asking them for answers.
Erica shook her head, which made Shana pout.
Clearly, the others were keeping secrets from her, which she didn’t like.
Truth be told, it wasn’t that they wanted to keep it a secret from Shana.
They simply had no choice since they had signed a contract with Metatron, preventing them from saying anything they saw and heard while they were inside the Order of the Apocalypse.
The group had seen Evuvug and Gwenn in the past, so they didn’t need much effort to connect the dots. They even felt a little proud as they were part of such an awesome secret organization.
“Just what kind of trick did he use this time?” Roland muttered as he looked at the TV screen. “Does his Bug Buster really work against Bug-Type Jinns?”
The young man didn’t know how to feel about Zion’s latest achievements.
Although he was confident that his party could also defeat the beetle army, it would be an incredibly long and tough battle.
Suddenly, a notification sound reached everyone’s ears, making them all look at their Communicators.
The Central Government had just issued all of them a new mission, ordering them to mobilize and eliminate another monster nest that wasn’t far from their location.
Like Zion, the Hero Party also visited nearby cities that stood at the forefront of the Jinn invasion.
The Cygni Coalition had agreed to work with the Central Government, so they let the Hero Party bring members of their coalition to fight against the Jinns building nests close to their territories.
It wasn’t only them who were making their move.
After Zion’s latest victory, the Griffin Clan and the Prestigious Families of the Cygni Continent had decided to form their own strike group.
This was their way of showing the people that it wasn’t only the Central Government actively fighting for their homeland.
If the families who ruled the land weren’t taking part in its liberation, they would lose the support of the people, which was the last thing these powerful families wanted to happen.
