System's POV - Chapter 891
Chapter 891: Tristan’s Regret
Casimir City…
The Central Government was the army of mankind.
After the Antares and the Rigel Continents fell, Lawrence chose one city each in the Cygni and Aldebaran Continents, which would solely belong to them.
This would allow them to mobilize their forces and assist the Monarch Clans, as well as the Prestigious Families, in defending against Dimensional Outbreaks.
They also owned one city in the Aldebaran Continent, where the 60th up to the 69th Battalion were stationed.
Whenever there were emergencies, especially ones related to monster outbreaks, the Battalions stationed on each continent would mobilize and help protect the people.
In the Sirius Continent, the Central Government had Justice City.
In the Aldebaran Continent, they had New Dawn City.
Within the Cygni Continent, they had Casimir City.
By far, it was the largest and most developed city on the continent.
It was even larger than the capital city of the Griffin Clan, the Wingdom City.
If Casimir City were to be described in one word, the word “fortress” would come to mind.
Stationed within its walls were the 40th up to the 59th Battalion.
It was bigger than the Central Government’s headquarters in the Aldebaran Continent and also more than capable of defending itself from raids from any direction.
That was how robust the city’s defenses were.
Tristan was the current commander of Casimir City, and every commanding officer in the Cygni Continent reported to him.
He would then direct the military for rescue or support missions to keep the front lines from collapsing.
Thirteen planned to stay in Casimir City for a week to get a better understanding of the situation on the front lines.
This would give Rocky and Evuvug enough time to build the underground bases for the expansion of the Beetle Colony, which would serve as Thirteen’s secret army once the invasion truly began.
Gwenn would also mind control the leaders of the various factions and have them fight among themselves.
The beetle army would then collect the spoils of the war to nourish and train the elite members of their brood.
To maximize the efficiency of this plan, Thirteen decided to target insect-type monsters that form colonies.
His ideal targets were Ant Type and Bee Type monsters, for they both had Queens controlling them.
With Gwenn’s ability, the process would be quite efficient.
As long as they manage to find the right candidates, they could, in theory, create an unlimited number of soldiers who could carry out the missions Thirteen would ask of them.
During the one week Thirteen would be staying at Casimir City, Rocky and Tiona would also look for precious ores and minerals, which the military could use to create ammunition and weapons.
Since Rocky could simply store a large volume of those things inside his Mobile Fortress, then dump them wherever Zion wanted, gathering items for the production of weapons and ammunition for the Central Government was settled.
Thirteen already revealed Rocky to Lawrence and Tristan since he was assured he could trust them.
After all, they were going to be one big family in the future. Letting them know of Rocky’s strategic value would make things easier for future operations.
Of course, they would not divulge this secret to anyone because they understood that the Hellfire Bal-Boa was Thirteen’s trump card.

Knowing that a Rank 8 Sovereign was protecting their future son-in-law, the two leaders of the Central Government no longer forbade him from going anywhere on the continent.
“Your latest escapade has triggered the different factions,” Tristan said with amusement. “They are sending their young prodigies to gain some fame before the real invasion begins.”
“Good.” Thirteen nodded. “Finally, we can put them to good use.”
“I also heard that the Griffin Clan, the Lotte, Gates, and Bishop Families have formed their own raiding group, and called it the Slayer Legion,” Tristan added. “They are moving Northeast, and according to our insiders, they will start to engage the Jinns in three days.”
Tristan pointed at the giant projection of the map of the Cygni Continent and zoomed in on a location.
“The Hero Party has gathered some steadfast supporters and is planning to head East from the city of Aldenmere,” Tristan said.
“Roland seems incredibly confident that they will be able to safely defeat the nest of monsters closest to their location. Just to be on the safe side, I sent the 40th Battalion to serve as support for their raid.”
Thirteen knew the main reason why Tristan had sent the 40th Battalion was because of Shana. He had no objection to this plan since he also didn’t want his fiancée to get hurt in the battle she was about to face.
“Commander, please inform all members of the Central Government to avoid this region,” Thirteen reached out to the projection of the continent and used his hand to zoom in on a particular location. “I will be using the Planar Mountain Range as a base of operation.”
The teenage boy then explained that he captured Brood Queens and Brood Mothers during his attack on the beetle nest.
Tristan didn’t ask how Thirteen managed to gain control of his captives because he understood the young man had many secrets.
Rocky was already a pleasant surprise, so although he was curious, he decided not to pry on this matter for the time being.
Thirteen also had no intention of telling the Field Marshal that Evuvug was still alive and currently working under him.
The Brain Beetle had become the mortal enemy of humanity during the battle on the Rigel Continent.
Telling them that same terror was now on their side might make Tristan and Lawrence feel anxious.
Both would assume that the Brain Beetle had already mind-controlled Zion to do its bidding, which could lead to the downfall of everyone who planned to fight against the upcoming invasion.
Thirteen also understood it would be very hard for him to convince Lawrence and Tristan about Evuvug, so he purposely kept its existence a secret from his superior officers.
“Understood. I will tell the army to avoid that place.” Tristan nodded. “Is there anything else you need to tell me?”
“There is another thing I would like to share with you, Sir,” Thirteen said. “I sent Rocky to mine ores and other resources. I’m sure you are already aware that the future battles will likely become battles of attrition. We need enough ammunition to deal with the bulk of the Jinn army.”
“We have multiple factories here working round the clock to produce ammunition,” Tristan said. “The only problem is collecting precious ores needed to create high-grade ammunition. But as long as Rocky can find them, we will process them without fail.”
“He will find them.” Thirteen promised. “And he will return in a week. Once he’s back, I’ll leave the city and head Southeast.”
The corner of Tristan’s lips rose up after hearing Zion’s statement.
“You’re avoiding Roland?” Tristan inquired.
“Yes,” Thirteen answered. “Since he wants to compete with me, I’ll make sure to keep leaving him in the dust. This week-long hiatus should give him enough time to gain some merits.”
The Central Government had created a merit system where soldiers earned points depending on their contribution on the battlefield.
These merit points could be used to exchange for items, including beast cores, avatars, equipment, and even military vehicles, like tanks and Humvees.
The rewards were quite enticing, so the soldiers of the Central Government were very motivated to gain some merit points for the items they wished to possess.
“By the way, what do you plan to do with your current Merit Points?” Tristan asked in curiosity.
From his previous battles, Thirteen had earned over twenty thousand merit points.
The merit points a soldier earned were automatically computed by the military-grade communicators they were wearing.
Even though he didn’t fight the monsters personally, his command of his forces allowed him to gain Merit Points.
“I’m saving it,” Thirteen replied.
“Saving for what?”
“The Air-King 64 Apache.”
The corner of Tristan’s lips twitched, hearing the teenage boy aim for the most powerful military-grade helicopter the Central Government currently possessed.
The Air-King 64 Apache, or the AK64 Apache for short, was one of the biggest and most destructive weapons of the Central Government.
There were only ten of these helicopters in the Military, and they were saved for special operations that required heavy firepower.
Tristan had placed one of these Attack Helicopters in the list of vehicles that could be exchanged using merit points.
He added it, thinking that no one could possibly collect enough points to get it, so he placed it there to motivate the soldiers to do better.
It was worth two million Merit Points, which seemed impossible for anyone to attain.
“… That’s worth two million merit points,” Tristan said after a brief moment of silence.
“Only two million?” Thirteen smirked. “Easy peasy.”
The teenage boy smirked before leaving Tristan’s private conference room to return to his own quarters.
The Field Marshal watched as the teenage boy left his office before shaking his head helplessly.
“I knew I should have made it worth ten million merit points.” Tristan scratched his head helplessly.
He had forgotten that the teenage boy had some kind of strong attachment towards Attack Helicopters.
This strong attachment, of course, stemmed from one of his Hosts who had created an Attack Helicopter that brought an entire world to its knees.
If not for the fact that the materials needed to create such a killing machine were not available in Pangea and Solterra, Thirteen would have already built one for himself.
