System's POV - Chapter 923
Chapter 923: The Prince Of House Azrakith [Part 3]
“Are you sure this is going to work?” Prince Xylen asked.
“You need to make it work,” Thirteen replied. “I’ll do my best to help you get popular, but whether it works or not all depends on your capability.”
The teenage boy then glanced at the Demihuman Beetle, Izzakar, whom he felt was the most dangerous among Prince Xylen’s entourage.
“I’m sure your retainers are capable enough to help you with this,” Thirteen added. “Just remember—you need to make waves before the Jinn Invasion truly begins. Because by then, you will not be able to move freely.”
“Speaking of which, you seem very calm about facing us,” Prince Xylen said before giving Arthur a side-long glance. “I know he is a Throne, but do you think he’s strong enough to save you from us if we decide to capture all of you?”
“Have you heard the rumors about me?” Thirteen asked.
“I have… read some interesting things about you.” Prince Xylen admitted. “If those rumors are indeed true, then you do have the qualifications to remain calm in front of me. Even I don’t have the guts to face off against a Majin Prince, let alone a Majin King.”
The rest of the Prince’s entourage also knew of Zion’s accomplishments. But aside from Izzakar, the rest just thought of them as an overexaggeration made up by the Wanderers.
They could not even defeat Rank 9 Sovereigns, what more a Majin Prince and a Majin King? That said, they treated that news as complete, utter hogwash.
However, Izzakar was no fool.
He had been paying close attention to the teenage boy since the talks had started.
Not only did he speak in a calm, confident tone, but he even had the audacity to slap the prince in front of them.
Izzakar was a strategist who served Prince Xylen’s father directly.
The reason why he accompanied the Prince was because his King ordered him to keep his stupid son safe from harm.
Although Prince Xylen was a troublemaker, it didn’t change the fact that the Insect King loved this unruly son of his.
He had sent him away from their Kingdom to pacify his subjects, though he also truly hoped that the Prince would learn a lesson or two from the world they planned to conquer.
‘This child is very dangerous,’ Izzakar thought. ‘I have a feeling that if we attack him, we will regret it very much.’
But just as the Demihuman Bee was thinking along these lines, Prince Xylen grinned and clapped his hands.
“Actually, I really plan to capture you today,” Prince Xylen said. “But I changed my mind. You’re a very interesting person, Zion Leventis. It would be such a waste to make you an enemy.”
“I also don’t want to become your enemy, Prince Xylen,” Thirteen replied. “I believe it will be more beneficial for us if we don’t openly antagonize each other, especially before your reinforcements from Gomorra arrive.”
Prince Xylen nodded. “But, Zion, when the reinforcements arrive, I believe I will no longer have any say in the army. My elder brother will be coming with the main forces of the Azrakith Court to conquer this world.”
“That’s why you need to spread your name and influence before he arrives,” Thirteen stated. “Because when he appears, you will no longer be able to command your soldiers freely.”
“Very well. I will do as you say,” Prince Xylen replied. “But since I like you, I will give you additional information about a princess who hailed from our home world.
“Her name is Princess Aracelle from House Pavareth. She’s one of the top beauties in Gomorra, more beautiful than the ladies by your side. But she is a very wicked bird who thinks that everyone is beneath her feet.
“I will be very happy if you can bring her down a peg and make her eat dirt if possible. She has taken over Alcove City and is building her forces there.”
“Thank you for this information,” Thirteen replied. “I’ll make sure to keep an eye on her.”
Prince Xylen smiled and reached out a hand to offer a handshake to Zion.
The teenage boy didn’t hesitate and firmly grasped the prince’s hand.
“To a happy cooperation,” Prince Xylen said.
“To a happy cooperation.” Thirteen nodded.

After the handshake was done, the two promised to talk regularly through the communicator.
They then went off on their separate ways, feeling content with the things they had discussed today.
Prince Xylen’s entourage soon mounted a giant beetle to return to their territory. Not long after, several Rank 7 Sovereigns appeared by his side.
“Your Highness, why didn’t you give the order to capture them?” A praying mantis asked.
“It’s because Zion is a very interesting person, and I don’t want him to hate me,” Prince Xylen replied. “Besides, he is the strategist of the alliance. Do you really think he didn’t make preparations beforehand?”
The Prince then lightly tapped the belt on his waist, which was a gift that was given to him by Zion.
When he transformed earlier, he felt his strength drastically increase, which made him realize that he shouldn’t underestimate the teenage boy.
People call Prince Xylen stupid, and maybe he was.
But when it came to intuition, he was second to none.
Collaborating with Zion would give him benefits.
And frankly, he believed that, just like his plan to capture him, the teenage boy also planned to capture him if their talks went south.
It was a risk that Prince Xylen didn’t want to take, and Izzakar shared this line of thought.
“Prince Xylen is right,” Izzakar commented. “I believe Zion Leventis has also made arrangements beforehand. We can’t really be sure about who will be able to capture who, so this outcome is already good in my opinion.”
Now that the King’s strategist had spoken, no one bothered to challenge his words.
“Your Highness, why did you mention Princess Aracelle to Zion?” Izzakar inquired. “Do you really want the two of them to fight?”
“Yes,” Prince Xylen answered. “I believe Zion can make that bird kneel, and frankly, I would love to see it. Maybe he can sell her to me as a slave afterward. If that happens, we will be able to use some leverage against House Pavareth when their reinforcements arrive.”
“I see…” Izzakar nodded before glancing at the belt that Zion had given the prince.
He already had suspicions that the belt might have been tampered with, which would allow the teenage boy to gain some valuable information without lifting a finger.
After all, in war, information was power.
Because of this, he drew something in the air, specifically words from the ancient language of their home world.
When Prince Xylen and the others read what he wrote, all of them glanced at the belt on the Prince’s waist with solemn expressions on their faces.
Suddenly, the communicator on the prince’s arm rang.
“Yes, Zion?” Prince Xylen asked. “Did you forget something?”
“I forgot to tell you I can hear your discussion through the gift I gave you,” Thirteen said calmly. “Since Mr. Bee is very smart, I’m sure he might have realized this possibility already.
“So, to avoid any bad vibes between us, I decided to inform you that I will turn off the voice recording function of the belt.
“Also, let this be a lesson to you, Prince Xylen. Do not readily accept gifts from your enemies. If that belt had a hidden bomb in it, you and your people might already be dead at this moment. That is all. May all of you have a safe trip back to your headquarters.”
The Jinns exchanged glances with each other before Prince Xylen coughed lightly.
He wasn’t sure if Zion really turned off the voice recording function of the belt.
But he decided to trust his words because he didn’t want to part with the gift that allowed him to transform into Masked Beetle Rider, who would soon become a Hero in the eyes of the Wanderers in the Cygni Continent.
