Teacher by day, Farmer by passion - Chapter 86
Chapter 86: Beast (NEW!)
The leader of the ambush gritted his teeth. “Attack!” he roared.
The assassins surged forward, weapons gleaming under the sunlight, their movements sharp and precise.
They had faced cultivators before, slaughtered men stronger than this so-called farmer.
There was no reason to hesitate over his mere words.
Yet, before they could close the distance Shan Yifeng stepped forward, his hands forming a seal, his voice firm. “Come forth, Spirit Sovereign Wolf!”
A burst of energy rippled through the air as a massive, white wolf materialized beside him, its fur bristling with an eerie silver glow.
Its eyes, like molten gold, locked onto the assassins.
At the same moment, Liu Mei raised her hand, her expression calm but commanding. “White Fur.”
A swirl of icy mist formed beside her, condensing into the sleek, elegant shape of a six-tailed fox.
Its white fur shimmered under the light, and its tails swayed hypnotically, radiating an aura of immense power.
The aassassins resolves seemed to faltered.
They had prepared for a swift, calculated ambush—an easy kill. But now, staring into the golden eyes of the Spirit Sovereign Wolf and the swirling mist around White Fur, they realized their mistake.
This wasn’t going to be a fight. It was an outright execution.
Ace, who had been about to fight, casually stepped back, hands tucked behind his head.
“Well, this is convenient,” he mused. “Having disciples really makes life easier.”
One of the assassins snapped out of his stupor and snarled. “Ignore the beasts! Kill the woman first, she’s a mortal!”
A silver-ranked assassin darted toward Liu Hong, his blade aiming straight for her throat.
But before he could reach her, a blur of motion intercepted him.
Shan Yifeng was already there. His wolf lunged, jaws snapping with terrifying force, catching the assassin mid-stride and hurling him into the dirt like a ragdoll.
Liu Mei barely even turned to look. With a flick of her wrist, White Fur unleashed a cold blast of energy. Frost bloomed across the battlefield, ice creeping up the legs of another attacker before he could react.
The assassin gasped, his limbs freezing over as Liu Mei stepped forward and, with one effortless strike, sent him crashing into the ground.
The four Gold Rank assassins cursed and leaped into action, but the spirit beasts had already marked them.
The Spirit Sovereign Wolf let out a deep, resonating snarl before pouncing, its claws tearing through one of the Gold Rankers in a savage display of strength.
White Fur moved with lethal grace, her six tails lashing out like whips. One Gold Rank cultivator raised his sword to block, but the moment he made contact, an eerie white mist spread over his blade.
His expression twisted in horror as the metal shattered into ice fragments, and in the next second, Liu Mei’s fox sent him flying with a casual flick of its paw.
The remaining assassins barely had time to react before the spirit beasts turned their attention to them.
From the viewpoint of the assassins, it was a brutal, merciless battle. They were overwhelmed, outmatched, and utterly unprepared.
For Ace and his disciples, however, it was nothing more than a one-sided beating.
Ace let out a satisfied sigh, watching as his disciples handled the entire situation with ease.
“Good, good,” he muttered. “I’ve trained them well.”

The assassins, who had once exuded confidence, now scrambled desperately.
The Spirit Sovereign Wolf tore through their ranks like a force of nature, its claws raking through flesh, its fangs crushing bones.
White Fur moved with elegance and lethality, her six tails lashing out like whips, sending enemies flying with every strike.
A Gold Rank assassin, realizing the dire situation, gritted his teeth and roared, “Form up! Defend—”
His command was cut short as a massive paw slammed into his side. The Spirit Sovereign Wolf flung him through the air like a broken doll, sending him crashing into a nearby tree with a sickening crunch.
Ace watched the fight unfold, his expression bored. “Hmm… I thought this would be more interesting.”
He cracked his knuckles, glancing over at Liu Mei and Shan Yifeng, who were systematically dismantling the remaining assassins. “But I guess my disciples are just too competent.”
One of the assassins, a Silver Rank, broke away from the chaos and lunged toward Liu Hong once more, his blade gleaming with desperate intent.
Liu Mei’s expression darkened.
White Fur reacted instantly. With a flick of her tail, a freezing mist surrounded the attacker, and in the blink of an eye, his entire body was encased in ice.
Liu Mei stepped forward, placing a single finger on the frozen figure. A light tap—
C R A C K !
The assassin shattered into countless icy fragments.
Shan Yifeng focus was on the last Gold Ranker, the only one still standing. The man was breathing heavily, his sword trembling in his hands as he stared at the devastation around him.
Ace tilted his head, watching the assassin’s trembling grip.
“Go on, then. Make your move. Or would you rather keep shaking in place?”
The assassin gritted his teeth, but it was clear his resolve had been shattered. His comrades lay broken, the battlefield painted in their blood.
His hands clenched and unclenched around his weapon, his body tensed—
And then, without another word, he turned and bolted.
Shan Yifeng scoffed. “Running? How pathetic.”
Ace’s gaze flickered toward him. “Go. Kill him.”
Yifeng hesitated for a moment, caught off guard by the cold command. “But he’s just one.”
“We can’t let anyone spread word about your capabilities,” Ace continued, his voice calm but firm.
Liu Mei furrowed her brows. “But, Master, we’re already well-known after the tournament.”
Ace shook his head. “You two have grown even stronger since then. Back at the tournament, you fought against opponents of gold rank in equal footing. But today, you crushed through Gold Ranks like they were nothing.”
“They didn’t have spirit beasts,” Shan Yifeng countered, still somewhat reluctant.
“That doesn’t change the fact that you’re far beyond them now,” Ace replied evenly. His gaze hardened.
“Ah.” Yifeng blinked. “He’s already dead.”
The Spirit Sovereign Wolf walked over with the fallen assassin in its jaw, it’s golden eyes unblinking. There had never been a chance to escape.
Ace raised an eyebrow. “well done.”
“Mm, thank you,” Yifeng said sheepishly, scratching his head.
With the little skirmish truly over, Ace turned his attention to Liu Hong—who had already fainted since the beginning.
“Who’s going to be carrying her?”
