Chapter 828: The Final Escape Plan
(3 months later, The Arc Ship)
3 months passed in a blink of an eye for Leo, who spent most of his days leisurely training his existing skills, aside from spending quality time with Amanda and phone calls with his mother.
Life was pretty stable and mundane, however, beneath that facade of stability, Leo was anything but calm at his core.
“So what’s the news from the Mu Clan Captain? What’s the plan once we land?” Leo asked, as Captain Kid laid out the plan for him.
“I did make contact with the Mu Clan, and this is what they’ve informed me to do–” Kid began as he pointed at a schematic map of the Arc Ship.
“Once we land, we will be surrounded on all sides by Unity Government officials, who will begin the procedure of tagging and sorting all incoming migrants.
This process will take place through 3 points of exit. One through the East, one through the South, and one through the West” Kid pointed out, as he tapped the schematic map with a pencil-like tool.
“The North Exit, is for staff only, and it will also have the maximum security.
However, there is a loop-hole here” Kid said, as his voice brightened.
“According to Universal Law, the Universal Government officials get to escort the game data from the flight after landing.
Meaning that they get to walk into the ship with large containers and store all the PC hardware without questions—-”
He paused.
“These containers can’t be searched by the Unity Government security, and they can’t even touch them.
They’re considered diplomatic property, and hence the plan is to smuggle you out on one of them.
Apparently, the Mu Clan has already bribed a government official who is going to be on duty that day for escorting the Game Data, and it will be him who will help you escape through the first layer of security—” Kid explained, as Leo let out a deep sigh.
The plan did sound solid so far, however, it relied completely on the competency of the universal government officer that the Mu Clan had bribed to take him out.
If he was competent enough, this plan would succeed without a hitch.
However, if he was not, then there could be serious trouble.
“After we get past the first security perimeter, you will most likely be on your own.
I will be detained by the Unity Government officials for not having handed you over, however, according to the orders I’ve received, there will be someone from the Mu Clan present outside the perimeter to escort you out of the planet and to a Mu Clan stronghold.
The name of this contact is ‘Muiyan Faye’, she is a woman that has short hair and olive skin.
You will need to trust her to get out of the planet” Kid explained, as Leo nodded in understanding.
“How safe do you think this plan is?” He asked, once Kid was done explaining, as Kid shrugged his shoulders in response.
“To be very honest, it seems safe on paper, however, these things never go as planned.
If everything goes well, you will most likely be a wanted fugitive with a small bounty on your head in the universe, however, the Mu Clan can easily get rid of it for you.
If nothing goes as planned you will be jailed, and then it will depend on how much the Mu Clan values you, for them to negotiate your release.
Either way, things are out of your hands and you can’t do much about it” Kid said, as he placed a sympathetic hand over Leo’s shoulders.
Unlike the gaming world where you could respawn if you died, the real world did not have such provisions.
Leo could not just fight his way out of the perimeter daggers blazing and hope for the best, because there was a real chance he could lose his life.
While he was still ‘TheBoss’ inside and outside the game, ‘TheBoss’ in the real world had to be more careful of the fights he picked, for now there was no [Death Evasion Token] to save him, in-case a plan went wrong.

(Meanwhile ChaosBringer)
It did not take long for ChaosBringer to figure out that Leo had received a gaming ban, as his silence this time around was uncharacteristically absolute.
Since making that explosive post on the forums, Leo had not responded to a single message of his—despite ChaosBringer putting in a thousand different queries.
And although, for someone as inactive as ‘TheBoss’ who was known to disappear for long periods without responding, this wasn’t uncharacteristic behaviour, ChaosBringer somehow knew deep down in his gut that something had gone horribly wrong for him this time around and that his lack of response this time wasn’t natural.
Unfortunately, ChaosBringer had no way of reaching out to Leo in person.
He had no clue where the real ‘Boss’ was stationed aboard the Arc Ship, nor did he have the authority to request a meeting.
Yet, despite being unable to contact Leo directly, ChaosBringer refused to sit idly by.
If TheBoss couldn’t move freely, then it was up to him to make sure that the uprising didn’t crumble in his absence.
Hence, taking matters into his own hands, ChaosBringer began working from the shadows, doing the one thing he could, which was organizing the Uprising for life after landing.
He rallied the core members, securing their unity, and convinced them to stick together no matter what faction absorbed them after landing.
The key was survival.
If they splintered now, all the work TheBoss had put into building this force would be wasted.
And hence they had to stick together no matter what, with all players joining the same faction after landing and working in secret to help the boss.
In ChaosBringer’s view, the core members of the uprising were the most important to retain and preserve the ideals of the guild.
Afterall, the core members were not just any players—they were the most loyal, the most dedicated individuals who loved ‘TheBoss’ to death.
They were the ones who owed him everything, the ones who had been saved, elevated, and guided by his leadership.
And though none of them had the power to change the course of events right now, they weren’t the type of men to ever forget a debt of gratitude and would repay him with their lives if they ever had the chance.
Unfortunately for them, all they could do for now was to prepare.
But deep in their hearts, there was an unshaken belief—that one day, TheBoss would return. And when that day came, they would be ready, standing beside him once more, prepared to follow him into whatever battles lay ahead.
