The Bigshot's Superstar Wife - Chapter 163
Chapter 163: Prepare for the Worst
Athena stood in the middle of her soul space, taking in the vast stretch of untouched land before her.
The space had expanded again, growing wider and richer as if it responded to her needs.
She inhaled deeply, the air crisp and fresh, carrying the scent of fertile earth. It was strange, this place didn’t feel artificial. It felt real, almost more alive than the world outside.
She had made up her mind. If the world was heading toward chaos, then she needed to prepare for complete self-sufficiency. And this space was the perfect answer.
Without wasting time, she rolled up her sleeves and got to work. The first task was to plant crops.
Athena selected the best seeds she could find, wheat, rice, corn, and other staple grains that could sustain a population.
She dug into the soil, letting the dark, nutrient-rich earth crumble between her fingers before carefully placing the seeds in neat rows.
Then came the vegetables, potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbages, and tomatoes, each one given its own designated area. She moved on to fruit-bearing trees.
With a mere thought, she planted apple trees, orange groves, banana plants, and grapevines. She wanted a variety, mangoes, avocados, pears, peaches.
The trees stood tall and sturdy, their leaves a vibrant green, swaying gently under an invisible breeze. Next came the water.
Athena formed a reservoir, a massive lake of crystal-clear water stretching across the center of her space.
Streams branched out, leading to irrigation systems she had designed for the fields. She made sure there was a well, too, deep and never-ending, its water pure and refreshing.
But it wasn’t enough. She needed meat. Luckily, the soul space provided the perfect conditions.
She designated areas for poultry and livestock, carefully constructing barns and coops.
Soon, chickens roamed freely in a secure enclosure, their feathers ruffling as they pecked at the ground.
Goats, sheep, and cows grazed in open pastures, their movements slow and peaceful. She didn’t stop there.
She introduced pigs for pork, ducks and geese for eggs and meat, and even a section for rabbits.
She knew that in a survival situation, nothing should go to waste. Every animal had a purpose, every resource carefully managed. She built storage facilities next.
There were now massive warehouses stocked with all kinds of food, dried meats, smoked fish, preserved vegetables, and grains in enormous sacks.
Shelves lined with jars of honey, oil, and vinegar stood neatly arranged.
Condiments, spices, and seasonings were stored in glass containers, their labels written in crisp, neat handwriting.
It was more than just storage. It was survival. She didn’t know why she was doing all of this so urgently, but she trusted her instincts.
Something inside her whispered that she needed to be ready, that the world outside was shifting toward something dangerous. With each passing day, her soul space flourished.
The crops grew at an unnatural speed, the trees bore fruit faster than any she had ever seen, and the animals thrived. It was as if this space was enchanted, bending reality to her will.
And yet, despite all of this, Athena felt a deep sense of unease. She paused one afternoon, standing by the lake, watching the water ripple under the golden light.
She had everything she needed here, food, water, security. But the world outside? It was unpredictable. She clenched her fists.
It wasn’t enough to prepare just for herself and the orphanage. She needed to think bigger.
There were so many people out there, helpless, unaware of the coming storm. Could she save them? Could she protect more than just the children she had taken in?
A thought crossed her mind. Could she use this space for others?
She took a deep breath, brushing her fingers against the tattoo on her wrist. The crown symbol pulsed faintly.

She would have to find out. But first, she had more work to do. Athena took a deep breath and wiped the sweat from her forehead.
The soul space had become her sanctuary, a world where she controlled every aspect of survival. Yet, despite the progress she had made, she knew there was still more to do.
She walked through the fields, inspecting the crops. The wheat swayed gently in the windless air, golden and full.
The rice paddies stretched in neat rows, their stalks bending slightly under the weight of their grain.
Tomatoes hung plump and red from their vines, while pumpkins and squash sprawled across the rich soil. Everything was growing at an unnatural pace, responding to her silent will.
Her next step was storage expansion. She entered one of the massive warehouses she had created.
The air inside was cool, and shelves stretched from floor to ceiling, lined with sacks of rice, barrels of flour, and neatly stacked boxes of preserved fruits and vegetables.
She had already set up drying racks for meats and fish, ensuring a stable supply of protein. Still, Athena wanted to improve the sustainability of her food sources.
She walked toward the poultry section, where chickens clucked softly, pecking at the ground.
The ducks swam lazily in their pond, while the geese stood tall, keeping watch over their territory.
She carefully checked on the pigs, goats, and cows, ensuring they were all healthy and well-fed. But there was something missing, medicinal herbs.
Athena made her way to an empty section of land and knelt down, pressing her palm against the soil.
She needed a dedicated garden for herbs, something that could help in case of illnesses or injuries. With a focused thought, she planted rows of medicinal plants.
Lavender for relaxation. Ginger for digestion. Echinacea for immunity. Chamomile for sleep. Aloe vera for wounds.
The garden began to take shape, the plants growing swiftly as if the land itself understood their purpose. Athena smiled, satisfied.
As she stood, she noticed a strange change in the air. The sky above her soul space, always a tranquil blue, seemed to darken for a moment.
It was brief, so quick that she might have imagined it, but a shiver ran down her spine. Something was coming. She didn’t know what, but she could feel it.
Athena clenched her fists. She had prepared all she could, but was it enough? Could she truly protect the orphanage, the children, and even herself from whatever was approaching?
She turned toward the storage area one last time, her eyes narrowing with determination. If something was coming, she wouldn’t just wait for it to happen. She would be ready.
