The Bigshot's Superstar Wife - Chapter 20
Chapter 20: Snake Lair
The snakes there were venomous, and she had learned to deal with them without hesitation. But this, this was different.
Are we out of luck? She didn’t know what kind of venom these creatures carried, and that uncertainty was a dangerous factor.
We have no anti-venom medicine, and neither do we have time to make one. We can only rely on ourselves to escape.
Mors stood beside her, gripping the knife in his hand, his body tense. He had trained as well, but not in this specific kind of combat.
The sharp hisses of the snakes and the sound of their slithering made his heart race. He had never faced anything like this in the wild.
“Stay calm,” Athena whispered to Mors, her voice steady, despite the situation. “We’ll make it through this, together.”
He nodded, his eyes scanning the snakes with a deep focus. He wasn’t going to let anything happen to her.
He must have never faced anything like this before. Athena drew the simple knife from her side, holding it with precision, her posture ready to strike.
She had fought in much darker and dangerous situations before. The venomous snakes were just another challenge, another battle to survive.
She lunged forward, moving with the grace of a predator. Her knife cut through the air, striking the nearest snake with practiced precision. Not too tough, the skin is just right!
The creature’s head fell to the ground, but more quickly took its place. Athena was calculating, dodging as the snakes made swift attacks.
The thick, hissing sounds echoed around her as she and Mors fought back. The numbers are too much for us to fight.
Mors moved in sync with Athena, relying on her quick thinking and expertise to guide him. He defended with his knife, following her lead and fending off any snakes that came too close.
[Did you see that? She just took down one of those snakes with a single strike!]
[Oh my god, they’re surrounded! This is getting too real. Can they really survive with just knives?]
[I can’t even watch, what if they get bitten?]
[Her movements are incredible, she’s like a natural-born fighter!]
[Is Major Mors okay? I hope he’s not injured!]
[Wow, this is intense. How are they even doing this?]
[They’re literally killing these massive snakes with nothing but knives, this is insane!]
Athena’s eyes never wavered as she continued to fight. The snakes were relentless, but so was she.
With each strike, she cleared a path for them to move forward. Her body was agile, moving fluidly through the mass of snakes.
She grabbed Mors’s hand, pulling him along as they worked together to break free from the snake hoard.
“Keep moving!” Athena urged, her voice filled with the urgency of the moment.
They fought for what seemed like hours, but in reality, it was only a few minutes. Each snake that tried to attack was swiftly dealt with, but the sheer number of them was daunting.
The air was thick with tension, and the sounds of hissing filled the forest.
Finally, they managed to break through the snake hoard. Athena pulled Mors to a safer spot, and they paused to catch their breath, blood pumping in their veins.
Athena wiped the sweat from her forehead, her eyes scanning the area to make sure they weren’t being followed.
They had survived. Barely. But they had survived.

[They made it! Oh my god, they actually made it through!!]
[I can’t believe it. She’s a total badass!]
[That was insane, how did they even do that?]
[Major Mors is lucky to have her by his side. She’s incredible.]
[Wrong! She’s also lucky to have him as her partner.]
[Wow, this is definitely not what I expected from a survival show.]
[I can’t wait to see what happens next! What will they do now?]
Athena glanced at Mors, giving him a reassuring nod. “We’re not out of danger yet,” she said quietly. “Let’s keep moving.”
With that, the two of them continued their journey through the wilderness, facing the unknown dangers of the wild head-on, with only their wits and knives to guide them.
We’re finally here! As Athena reached the seashore, she stumbled slightly, her legs trembling from exhaustion. Thankfully.
Her body felt like it had been pushed to its limits, every muscle aching from the intense struggles and the constant alertness she had maintained.
She collapsed onto the soft, white sand, the grains cool under her fingertips as she lay back, staring up at the sky. It feels great to be alive.
The salty breeze from the ocean brushed across her face, soothing the burn of her body, but the exhaustion still weighed heavily on her.
Mors stood a few feet away, leaning against the trunk of a tree that only seemed to grow near the beach.
His eyes were focused on Athena, his gaze calm but watchful. He had been quiet, letting her rest as he kept a watchful eye on their surroundings.
The sea stretched out in front of them, its waves crashing softly against the shore. The peaceful sound of the ocean felt almost surreal after the intensity of the previous moments.
Neither of them was aware that they had become the focal point of a heated conversation in the live stream.
On Starnet, millions of viewers had tuned in, and their comments flooded the screen as they watched the live broadcast unfold.
[She’s finally sitting down, huh? I can’t believe how strong she is!]
[The way she handled those snakes… is she even human?]
[Major Mors is so calm, standing there watching her. I wonder if he’s worried.]
[Did anyone else notice how well they work together? This is like some kind of power couple.]
[Her moves earlier were so fast, she’s clearly been trained for something like this. But she looks so tired now.]
[This beach… it’s beautiful. But are they really safe here?]
[Is she okay? She’s been pushing herself so hard. Major Mors should do something to help her.]
[I’ve never seen anything like this on a survival show! This is beyond intense.]
[I think I’m falling for them. They’re just so perfect together.]
[When is the next part coming? I can’t wait to see what happens next!]
Despite the constant flow of comments and the attention they were receiving, Athena and Mors remained unaware of the storm they had caused online.
Athena’s eyes closed for a moment as she rested, breathing deeply. The sun warmed her skin, but her mind was still alert, always assessing, always thinking ahead.
Mors, still standing, eventually walked over to where she lay, his footsteps quiet on the sand.
