The Bigshot's Superstar Wife - Chapter 29
Chapter 29: Into the Wild
I wonder where I’ll find the sword.
Athena stood at the mouth of the cave, her gaze scanning the rocky interior. The faint glimmer of colorful fruits hanging from vines caught her attention.
But survival is more important today…
Their vibrant hues stood out starkly against the muted grays of the cave walls. She stepped cautiously into the cool, damp air, her boots crunching softly against loose gravel.
A faint echo followed each of her movements, amplifying the eerie stillness of the space.
“I just need a few fruits,” she murmured to herself, gripping a small knife tightly in her hand as a precaution.
The faint, sweet aroma of the fruits grew stronger as she ventured further inside.
It was inviting, almost intoxicating, but the deeper she went, the more unsettling the silence became.
The dim light from the entrance began to fade, replaced by an otherworldly glow emanating from deeper within.
Athena reached out toward a cluster of fruit, their skin smooth and gleaming like polished gemstones.
Just as her fingers brushed against one, an unseen force surged through the cave. A gust of wind, cold and sharp, pushed against her.
She stumbled backward, her knife clattering to the ground. “What the…”
Before she could react, the ground beneath her shifted, and a powerful, invisible force shoved her deeper into the cave.
Athena gasped, her hands scrambling for purchase, but there was nothing to hold onto. She was propelled forward, her surroundings blurring into a swirl of shadow and light.
The sound of a rushing wind filled her ears, mingled with a deep, resonating hum that seemed to vibrate through her bones.
The air grew colder, and heavier, as if she had stepped into an entirely different realm. Her breaths came shallow and quick, and her heart raced as she tried to orient herself.
Suddenly, the cave’s walls, once solid and rough, seemed to dissolve. The rocky textures faded into darkness, replaced by an endless void.
Athena froze, her body tense, as the sensation of solid ground beneath her feet vanished. She felt weightless, suspended in an expanse of nothingness.
“Where am I?” she whispered, her voice trembling.
No answer came, only the hum, growing louder and more rhythmic, almost like a heartbeat. A faint light appeared in the distance, its silvery glow cutting through the void.
It pulsed gently, beckoning her forward. Though fear gripped her, Athena took a hesitant step toward the light, her instincts urging her to follow it.
Whatever had pulled her into this strange dimension wasn’t done with her yet.
Is that…
The dream was not a mindless illusion.
The sword!
This is the will of the death goddess.
Athena held the sword, Arthivian, its weight grounding her amidst the uncertainty of her surroundings. I am finally the wielder of the sword…
As her blood touched its surface, a sudden pulse of energy surged through the blade. But, why is this sword similar to the heirloom?
Is it truly destined to follow me? The sword hummed with life, and ancient markings, hidden until now, illuminated its length in a brilliant glow.

The intricate symbols danced across the steel, shifting and pulsing as though alive.
A sharp tingling sensation coursed through Athena’s hand, traveling up her arm, and then throughout her entire body.
She gasped as her hair shimmered and lightened, transforming into a striking shade of violet.
The energy within Arthivian resonated with her innate spirituality, and at that moment, Athena realized something profound. The sword has bound itself to me.
It wasn’t just a weapon, it was a living entity, ancient and full of secrets. This sword will now follow me through life and death.
She could feel its connection to her soul, as though the sword had been waiting for her, just as the Death Goddess had.
But there was more. A strange sensation tugged at her consciousness, drawing her inward. Hesitantly, Athena closed her eyes and allowed herself to follow the pull.
When she opened them again, she was no longer in the dimly lit hall. Instead, she stood in an expanse so vast it took her breath away.
“What is this place?” she whispered, her voice echoing across the endless horizon.
The space inside Arthivian was unlike anything she had ever seen. Rolling fields of vibrant green stretched before her, kissed by a soft golden sunlight.
A sparkling lake sat nestled in the distance, its surface glimmering like a sea of diamonds. The air was fresh and carried the faint scent of flowers.
Above her, the sky shifted gently, as though day and night coexisted in perfect harmony. It’s alive, she realized. The sword holds an entire world within it.
Her astonishment grew as she began to explore. Her boots crunched softly against the earth as she walked, the ground beneath her firm and fertile. Her mind raced with possibilities.
I can plant here! I can grow food and herbs… this is incredible!
As she ventured further, her eyes landed on a structure in the distance, a grand pavilion that seemed to radiate knowledge and mystery.
Its towering walls were made of shimmering glass, reflecting the colors of the surrounding landscape. Light danced across its surface like liquid gold.
The architecture was elegant, with sweeping arches and intricate carvings that depicted scenes of battles and celestial beings.
Athena pushed open the massive doors of the pavilion, and her breath caught in her throat. Shelves upon shelves of books filled the space, each one emanating a faint glow.
The scent of parchment and ink hung in the air, mingled with the faint aroma of wildflowers from outside.
The sheer scale of the library was overwhelming. She ran her fingers along the spines of the books, noting the titles inscribed in an ancient language she instinctively understood.
They seemed to contain knowledge about realms, magic, history, and even secrets of the universe.
“This… this is all mine?” she murmured, unable to believe the bounty that Arthivian had bestowed upon her.
The sword wasn’t just a weapon, it was a sanctuary, a tool, and a treasure trove of untold power. For the first time in a long while, Athena felt something akin to hope.
But as she explored further, a nagging question surfaced in her mind. Why had Arthivian chosen her? And what responsibility did this newfound power demand of her?
I am sure, owning this meant owning heavier responsibilities…
