The Bigshot's Superstar Wife - Chapter 84
Chapter 84: Sea of Stars
“Mors,” Athena said slowly, choosing her words carefully. “What exactly are you hoping for with this… public wedding? What do you want the world to see?”
Mors seemed to consider this question for a moment, his eyes thoughtful.
“I want them to see what we are. A united front. I don’t want there to be any more secrets, any more doubts. We’re stronger than that.”
He paused, his gaze turning intense. “And I want the world to know that you are mine, Athena. No more hiding.”
Her heart skipped a beat, and her breath caught in her throat. The sincerity in his eyes, the weight of his words, made her chest tighten.
She wasn’t sure if she was ready for all of this. A public wedding, the eyes of the universe upon them. Was it too soon? Or was it the right time?
“I need time to think,” she finally said, her voice quiet but resolute.
Mors nodded, as though he had been expecting that answer.
“Take all the time you need. But know that I won’t change my mind. I want you by my side, Athena. And I want the world to see us, to see what we’ve built together.”
The silence that followed was heavy, filled with unspoken thoughts. Athena looked at Mors, seeing him in a new light.
This man, this powerful, enigmatic man, was asking her to step into the unknown with him, to make their bond something real in the eyes of the world.
And for the first time in her life, she wondered if she was ready to embrace it.
As they walked outside, the cool night air washed over them, and the vast expanse of the estate stretched out before them.
The estate was far more than just a residence. It was a monument to the family’s wealth and power, a sprawling labyrinth of gardens, high walls, and luxurious structures.
The lights from the grand house reflected off the polished marble walkways, casting a soft glow that illuminated the quiet night.
The vastness of the space only made the moment feel more surreal, as if the world itself had fallen away, leaving only the two of them standing in the midst of it all.
Above them, the stars twinkled brightly in the night sky, scattered across the black velvet like diamonds scattered on an endless expanse.
Athena couldn’t help but look up, the sight of the stars mesmerizing.
She had always loved looking at the sky, there was something about the endlessness of it, the mystery that lay hidden among the constellations, that calmed her troubled mind.
It was a reminder of how small everything could feel, and yet how infinitely vast the universe was.
But tonight, as she gazed upward, her thoughts were anything but calm. She kept thinking about Mors’ sudden proposal for a public wedding, a topic that was entirely unexpected.
They had both agreed in her previous life to keep their bond a secret, keeping the complexities of their relationship out of the public eye.
The idea of a formal wedding, of making their bond known to the entire galaxy, was a stark contrast to the quiet understanding they had shared before.
Why had Mors changed his mind? What had led him to this decision? She glanced over at him, her curiosity piqued.
But as always, Mors remained as unreadable as ever. His face was serene, and composed, as though he carried the weight of the entire universe without ever showing a single crack.
It was part of what made him so enigmatic, so alluring. And yet, it made it hard for her to understand his true intentions.
He had been the same in her previous life, distant, powerful, and focused on his mission, but now, it seemed as though he was drawing closer to her in ways that she hadn’t anticipated.
He was offering more of himself, and that terrified her. Could she truly trust that this was the same Mors, or was there something more beneath the surface that she didn’t understand?
“Why a wedding, Mors?” Athena’s voice broke through her thoughts, her question floating into the night air.
He didn’t answer immediately. Instead, Mors reached for her hand, his fingers warm against hers.

The touch was gentle but firm, as though he was offering her a lifeline, a quiet reassurance. She let him take her hand, and they continued walking in silence for a moment, side by side.
“The wedding… is more than just a formal event,” Mors finally said, his voice low and steady. “It’s a promise, Athena. A promise that we stand together, no matter what comes our way.”
Does he have memories? Athena looked at him, puzzled. “What do you mean? I thought we already made that promise.”
Mors’ gaze softened as he looked down at her, his eyes reflecting the stars above.
“In the past, yes. But now, things are different. There are enemies, there are forces at play that could tear us apart. But I believe that together, we can overcome anything. And I want the world to know that. I want them to see us standing strong.”
She didn’t know how to respond to that. The words felt heavy, like they carried the weight of all the things they had yet to face.
They had been through so much already, and yet, Mors was still looking ahead, as though there was more to come, more challenges waiting for them.
Athena found herself wondering what those challenges would look like. Was she ready for them? Was she ready for the public scrutiny that would come with their union?
As she struggled to find the right words, Mors stopped walking and turned to face her fully. He reached out and gently cupped her face in his hand, his touch tender and reassuring.
For a moment, the world around them seemed to fade, the sounds of the estate and the stars above disappearing as he focused solely on her.
“I’m not asking you to make a decision right now, Athena,” he said softly.
“I just want you to understand why this matters to me. And I want you to understand that I would do anything to protect you. The wedding, the honeymoon, it’s not just for us. It’s for our future.”
