The Crown's Fire - Chapter 155
Chapter 155: Special Feelings
Katelina stared at Leviticus, who was now five years old. She still couldn’t believe she had lost three years of her memories. It felt like something was missing, yet she couldn’t pinpoint what it was.
“Sis, are you alright? Is your head still hurting? Here, eat this. You should eat healthy foods so you become more healthy and strong,” the young boy said, handing her a forkful of cut melons.
“Thank you,” she murmured with a smile. Instead of eating, Katelina put it back on the plate. She got up and pulled Levi into a hug as he sat there. She gently stroked his hair and said, “You must have suffered so much during the siege. I am sorry…”
She couldn’t imagine what her brother had gone through growing up under the demon king’s tyranny. But she was relieved he was still alive and with her.
“It’s all in the past now, sis. We both endured and succeeded. You also kept your promise that we’d soon be free. Now, the two of us are free from captivity. Lady Lucrezia said we can soon return to our kingdom, our home…” Levi commented.
“Yes, we’ll return home with our people,” Katelina firmly stated. Levi hadn’t even experienced the love and care of their parents, having lost them at a young age. But she was here, and she would ensure he never felt alone.
She and Levi were interrupted by a servant’s arrival.
“Your Highness, Commander Luis and Lady Asura have arrived,” the servant informed.
Levi rushed to hug Asura the moment the little boy saw her while Katelina smiled, relief washing over her as she saw familiar faces from their kingdom.
“Your Majesty,” Luis bowed curtly, followed by Asura.
Katelina’s tears flowed freely as she hugged Asura and Luis, sobbing. “I… I’m so glad that the two of you are fine and well after everything.”
“Everything will be fine now, Your Majesty. We’re here. Lady Lucrezia told us everything about how you lost your gifts and three years of memory. We’ll be your guides from now on,” Asura said with a reassuring smile.
Luis took her hand and guided her back to her seat. “I’ll tell you everything you need to know. We’ll take things slowly,” he commented with a soft smile.
Meanwhile, Asura was overjoyed to be reunited with their adorable and smart little king. “How are you doing, Sire?” she asked with a grin as they sat at a nearby table.
Luis took on the task of briefing Katelina about the kingdom’s situation, while Asura, as her sole lady-in-waiting, would personally assist their queen regent with everything. Her task was to be with her always.
“I’m doing alright, but my sister can’t remember anything that happened,” Levi commented. “Lady Lucrezia said she forgot what happened to her three years ago. It’s sad, but at the same time, I feel it’s better she forgot.”
Asura gently patted Levi’s head, understanding the boy’s sentiment. Looking in Katelina’s direction, she murmured, “Most of her memories from that time aren’t good, so it might be a blessing she forgot about the demon king.”
“That’s what I think too,” Levi agreed, his eyes following her gaze.
“Does Commander Luis like my sister?” Levi suddenly asked.
Asura chuckled, noticing Luis tucking a strand of Katelina’s hair behind her ear. Raising an eyebrow, Asura murmured, “That brute, he’s not allowed to touch the Queen Regent like that.”
“If he has feelings for her, he’ll have his heart broken,” Levi commented nonchalantly with a shrug. He then called for a servant and asked for another platter of cut fruits and fresh juices for himself and Asura.
“Aren’t you thinking too far ahead for your age?” she teased, gently pinching his cheek. He looked healthier now, gaining weight compared to how skinny he was before.
“I had a dream. I told it to Lady Lucrezia. My sister will marry the dragon king of Ebodia,” he snorted.
Right, she almost forgot that Levi had the gift of foresight. ‘A marriage with the king of Ebodia?’ Asura thought, wondering how things would come to that.
Her gaze shifted back to Luis, and she couldn’t help but release a deep sigh. She felt bad for Luis. Growing up with Katelina and Luis, Asura could tell that Luis had special feelings for Katelina. However, she couldn’t say the same for Katelina, who seemed to regard Luis as simply a friend. It was all visible in their eyes.
“We never know if your foresight will come true, Levi,” Asura murmured. Luis seemed determined now to win Katelina’s heart. He had been working hard to ensure everything would be well upon her return. To be honest, Luis was a good catch. He came from a noble family, the wealthiest in properties and assets in their kingdom.
“I guess you’re right. We’ll find out soon if it will happen or not, but so far all of my dreams and visions have come true,” Levi confidently remarked.
Asura chuckled and said, “We’ll see then. Make sure to tell me more, alright?”
“I will, Lady Asura,” Levi giggled.

Meanwhile, Luis didn’t care about his surroundings as he pulled Katelina into his arms, gently stroking her hair in the hope it would bring her some comfort.
“Be at ease now, Your Majesty, I am here and I will never leave your side no matter what,” he murmured as Katelina continued to sob. He didn’t want to see her cry like this, but it was good that she was letting it out. For the past three years, Katelina had been alone, bottling everything inside as she stayed by Devon’s side.
His face darkened at the memory of how helpless he had been then, unable to do anything to help her. But now the situation was different. He would do anything and everything for her. He would assist her to the best of his abilities and stay by her side.
He hadn’t had the opportunity to confess his feelings before or tell her how much she meant to him, but he wouldn’t make that same mistake now. He would not hesitate to show her and tell her how much she meant to him.
