The Crown's Fire - Chapter 187
Chapter 187: Devon’s Revival*
[Should I appear before her now?] Ezekiel asked Khal.
[She’ll get angry,] Khal pointed out. She definitely would, as she had already warned him to give her space.
[You’re a stalker,] Khal added, but Ezekiel ignored his rational golden dragon. He was content just staring at her face and observing her quietly.
He remained silent, allowing Katelina to believe she was alone in the carriage.
Hours passed quickly, and the carriage finally passed by the northern borders of Zion. From here, the road would become rocky, and they would need to enter the forest and wilderness.
As it grew darker, the convoy stopped to set up camp. Katelina exited the carriage, and Ezekiel waited for the royal guards to leave before he slipped out and went to find Cora. He saw her setting up her own tent in her chosen spot.
“Cora,” he called.
“Your Majesty?” Cora questioned, looking around in the dark. Right then, Ezekiel appeared.
“Your Majesty, you’re so creepy right now,” Cora complained with a crumpled face as she approached him. “Can you just show yourself and travel with us instead of using your power like that?” she added.
He didn’t comment and instead asked, “Is there anything to report?”
“Ah, the potion Queen Mother gave me helps Queen Katelina sleep,” Cora started reporting and then explained things further.
[I thought it was our presence that shooed away her bad dream?] he questioned Khal.
[How about we find out now? Sleep with her again tonight?] Khal suggested.
Without saying a word, Ezekiel turned himself invisible again, ignoring Cora’s scoff as he left.
“Goodness! I can’t believe he’s doing this kind of thing here…” she muttered, shaking her head in disbelief.

In the secluded area in the wilderness, Devon’s followers were busy preparing for their plan to abduct the new king of Helion to resurrect their Lord Devon.
The air was thick with anticipation and the hum of dark magic as they worked tirelessly to ensure every detail of their scheme was perfect. Ritual circles were drawn, spells were chanted, and weapons were sharpened, all in readiness for the upcoming abduction.
Meanwhile, Marla was too busy as well, mixing business with pleasure…
Marla was breathless after reaching her climax together with Soka. Soka pulled himself out of her core and cuddled her in his arms. “Do we really have to do it? Revive our Lord Devon?” he questioned, peppering her neck with kisses.
Her face darkened, and she pushed Soka away from her body. This man had his uses, so she let him have his pleasure on her terms.
She got up from the bed and walked naked to the crystal ball Devon had gifted her. She had managed to grab some of her most precious and magical possessions using secret passages before escaping Helion. One of those items was this magical crystal ball, which could replay all movements related to Devon’s remnants, especially his bloodthreads.
Devon had implanted his bloodthreads into everyone with dormant demon blood, so he could easily manipulate them once his bloodthread fully consumed their being.
“How come the serpent on your back is still there and not fading?” Soka questioned. All of Devon’s followers bore that serpent image on their backs, indicating they were under his control. All of Devon’s followers had that serpent image disappear from their bodies the moment Devon died at Ezekiel’s hands.
Marla proudly smirked and turned to Soka as she boasted, “Because I’m special. This serpent in me is not like the one in yours.”
With that, she turned back to the crystal ball. No one knew that the serpent image on her back actually contained a remnant of Devon’s life essence. Though Ezekiel had managed to kill Devon’s physical body and spirit, Devon was not someone to be easily vanquished. He always had contingency plans. He wouldn’t have been able to seize the throne from his own father without layers of hidden strategies.
She started chanting a spell, and a visual appeared through the crystal. “The bloodthread inside his half-brother is spreading dark energy faster than the other ones. This new king of Helion, Amon, will be the perfect vessel for Lord Devon’s revival. It will be far easier to perform the ritual on him since they share the same blood,” Marla commented.
“Isn’t Bulun handling this matter?” Soka asked as he hugged her from behind.
“Yes, but I don’t trust that man. It’s you who I trust, Soka. We must ensure this plan succeeds no matter what. If Bulun fails, we have to find the other man who still has Devon’s bloodthread,” Marla replied. She chanted another spell, and the vision changed to show another man.
“I want you to find this man and capture him alive,” Marla added. She bent down, feeling Soka’s once again hard cock pressing against her from behind.

“I will do everything you want, Marla. Anything for you,” he murmured hoarsely.
Marla smiled, her eyes gleaming with determination. “Good. We have no room for failure. Lord Devon’s return will change everything, and we must be prepared.”
“Yes, Marla. I will bring you this man as soon as possible,” Soka feverishly muttered as Marla touched his hardness and guided it inside her opening.
Having Soka by her side was the best choice she made. Not only was she being pleasured by this man who followed whatever she asked, but he was also a good lover in bed. She moaned the moment he entered her, savoring the physical connection.
But despite the physical pleasure, her heart and mind were consumed by thoughts of Devon. He owned her entirely, and that would never change. Devon was her world, no matter what.
Soka moved within her, each thrust intensifying their connection, but Marla’s thoughts drifted back to her ultimate goal: Devon’s resurrection. She would do whatever it took to bring him back, using every resource at her disposal, including Soka’s loyalty and abilities.
As she rode the waves of pleasure, she whispered a promise to herself. ‘Devon, my love, I will bring you back. I will make sure your reign continues, and we will be together again.’
As the intensity of their union built, so did her resolve. Devon would return, and she would ensure it, no matter the cost.
