The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1021
Chapter 1021: Legendary Armor Chapter 1021: Legendary Armor Cain didn’t have to wait long, as less than five minutes after the Legendary Lich flew away, Lord Commander Sarukan’s figure approached from the distance.
The moment Lord Commander Sarukan saw the state of the mountain range, his eyes widened with shock and confusion.
The full power of his soul flooded the area immediately, and he only relaxed once he noticed there were no enemies around.
The man had noticed the explosion in the distance, but he believed that was all part of Cain’s training.
However, as the blasts became more powerful, a confused expression appeared on his face since that type of destruction should not arise during a simple exercise.
Finally, his suspicion peaked when he noticed an explosion of necrotic energy. Lord Commander Sarukan knew Cain had all sorts of secrets.
Still, necrotic energy was one of the essential powers of the Lynch Kingdom, so he immediately flew to learn what was happening.
What he saw made a deep frown appear on his face. There were all sorts of questions on the man’s mind, but they were pushed to the back when he saw the state of Cain’s body.
The wounds on the young man were extraordinarily severe and required immediate attention.
Lord Commander Sarukan went to Cain, and the duo glanced at each other for a few seconds before the man took a potion from his space ring and handed it to the young man.
Cain took the potion and, without hesitation, drank it.
If the man wanted to kill him, there was no need to go to the length of poisoning him as he could barely defend himself right now.
Awe and shock appeared on Cain’s face since he felt a wave of bursting vitality coursing through his flesh and blood the moment the potion entered his body.
The crippling wounds that would have needed weeks or maybe months to mend were healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Cain could not help but glance at Lord Commander Sarukan with confusion.
The civilization of the Crimson World was more advanced than Aether’s, so it made sense for them to have better equipment and elixirs.
However, he was sure this potion was extremely valuable since it could have helped even Legends heal.
Lord Commander Sarukan remained silent and gazed at Cain until the wounds on the young man had fully stabilized before speaking in a solemn voice.
“I want the truth.” Cain’s eyes narrowed as he heard that.
Lord Commander Sarukan had helped him heal extremely fast, but it did not come free, as the man wanted to know what had happened here, and it was clear he would not accept a half-ass explanation.
Cain stared at the man for a few seconds before sighing and shrugging his shoulders.
“A Legendary Lich attacked me.
He wanted to kill me.” Lord Commander Sarukan was shocked and full of disbelief.
Yet, he could clearly feel the aura of necrotic energy permeating the broken mountain range along with the trails of putrefying blood that erode the ground, all proof of the presence of a Legendary Lich.
“I want details.
Start from the beginning.” Although the man was still shocked, he did not lose focus and carried on, demanding details to understand how Cain was still alive.
“The Lich attempted to ambush me, but I detected his presence.
Using an illusion, I managed to trick his senses at the last second and performed a powerful attack with Sky Breaker that left him badly wounded.
After that, a large battle took place, and I managed to come out on top, but the Lich managed to escape by taking the form of a wraith.” Cain related the events, describing in detail what happened there. Although Cain concealed some of his secrets and abilities, he described precisely how he managed to land the first blow, severely injuring the Legendary Lich.
He also made sure Lord Commander Sarukan understood that the Lich was still alive.

Lord Commander Sarukan frowned.
There were clearly many secrets surrounding this young man; no Sky Lord should be able to face a Legend, much less make one flee.
Yet, the evidence in the mountain range made it clear that this was exactly what had happened.
As for why a Legendary Lich would target Cain, that was obvious for Lord Commander Sarukan.
The young man had proved many setbacks for the Lynch Kingdom’s invasion force, and they wanted to kill him. In the end, Lord Commander Sarukan could only sigh and nod, accepting the story.
“A wraith state is the last move a Lich can make, and it will take decades for them to regain their Legendary Power.
However, it is safer for you to return to the city.
We can’t be certain what other dangers might be lurking in the shadows.” Cain immediately nodded.
He had already proved his abilities and skills, displaying their might against a Legend in a life-and-death battle, so there was no way he would learn anything more by practicing alone.
With no reason to remain in the broken mountain range, Cain and Lord Commander Sarukan returned to Bravos.
“Wait here.” Lord Commander Sarukan spoke to Cain before diving into the Grand Citadel, returning a few moments later carrying a majestic gray armor.
“It is a Legendary Armor.
You severely wound a Legendary Lich, so this is your reward.” Cain couldn’t help but smile as he saw the gray armor.
Sky Breaker had endured the fight against the Legendary Lich, but his previous armor had been destroyed.
He needed a new armor set, but it couldn’t be just any kind since his Steel Body had already granted him an exceptionally powerful constitution.
A regular magical armor would be useless to him, but Legendary Armor was different.
This would significantly enhance his physical defenses, taking them to the next level.
“I greatly appreciate this armor.
It will be of great use in the incoming battle and allow me to kill many more enemies from the Lynch Kingdom.” Cain performed a small bow toward Lord Commander Sarukan before leaving for his residence.
