The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1022
Chapter 1022: First clash (I) Chapter 1022: First clash (I) The massive fortified city of Bravos burst with activity over the next few days, with the magic formation and defenses tuning to handle the undead and necrotic energy until it finally happened.
“RINNNNGGGGGG!” An alarm echoed across the entire city, and the moment people heard it, myriad expressions appeared on their faces as they all knew what it meant.
The enemy had arrived!
Cain had been in his residence, ensuring his body had completely healed and pushing his energy pool to the peak when the alarm awoke him from his meditation.
His eyes were sharp as he grabbed the massive bastard sword and donned his Legendary Armor before flashing into the sky.
Hundreds of people were already rising into the air, all of them exuding a powerful and potent aura full of resolution.
Their bodies were brimming with energy, and all sorts of majestic artifacts covered them.
Duke Rellin also rose to the sky, appearing next to Cain after a few seconds.
His eyes were firm as he nodded to the young man.
While he would remain close to Cain to ensure his survival, he was ready to fight with everything he had.
Cain glanced at the old man and softly nodded before flashing toward the harbor, along with all other individuals capable of flying.
His eyes narrowed as he saw the massive warships already in motion, each filled with thousands of warriors and mages, their cannons ready, and massive magic formations covering every inch of them, transforming them into weapons of mass destruction.
The runic formation on the sea wall around the shore had already burst with power, ready to deploy energy force fields that would protect the city of Bravos from long-range attacks and repel any form of underwater incursion.
‘The defensive power is impressive, but…’ Cain didn’t finish his thought as he raised his eyes and looked into the distance.
At first, he detected nothing, but soon, he caught a glimpse of something horrifying.
Massive storm clouds covered the sky, spreading for hundreds of kilometers, and the water turned dark as if death itself was corrupting it.
Once vibrant and blue, the sea looked like an endless void of darkness.
Thunder rumbled ominously, and the occasional flash of lightning revealed the outlines of the approaching menace.
Cain’s eyes widened in shock, and his grip on Sky Breaker tightened as the full horror of the scene unfolded.
Emerging from the veil of darkness, a massive navy came into view.
There were more than one hundred gargantuan warships, each so immense that they resembled small islands.
These ships were not ordinary vessels.
Some were crafted from unique alloys, their surfaces shimmering with a dull, eerie glow.
Others appeared to be constructed from the corpses of Legendary monsters, their twisted and decaying forms fused to create a grotesque fleet.
Massive bones jutted out from the sides of the ships, and the flesh that remained was covered in necrotic energy, giving off a sickly greenish hue.
The warships bristled with weaponry.
Towering cannons and magical artillery lined their decks, and dark, ominous runes glowed faintly along their hulls.
These runes pulsed with an unnatural energy, promising devastation to any who dared to oppose them.
Some ships had massive siege engines mounted on their decks, capable of hurling projectiles with devastating force.
‘Each of those ships should be able to hold one hundred thousand soldiers.

This is an incursion force of over ten million!’ A solemn expression appeared on Cain’s face as he analyzed the power of the enemy army. Even if most of those soldiers were low Level, they still had a numeric advantage of 30 to 1 with those of Brabos, and in the Crimson World, numbers matter very much. ‘If we allow even half to reach the shore, the Trinity Kingdom is lost.’ Cain’s eyes were sharp and cold as he came to that devastating judgment. The rest of the Sky Masters and Sky Lords glanced at each other, coming to the same conclusion as Cain, understanding just how vital the naval battle would be.
Killing thousands of soldiers once they reached the shore would require a massive amount of energy.
However, as long as they crippled those ships, the normal mages and warriors inside would be virtually dead, as there was no way they could survive in the Sea of Wonders.
Although attacking deep inside the Sea of Wonders would grant them more time to take down those ships, it would also put them in immense danger.
They needed the enemy to get close enough so they could return to the shore in case they received severe wounds.
Of course, the Sky Masters and Sky Lords were also waiting for the arrival of the Legends.
Without them leading the charge, there was no point in marching as it would be a suicide mission.
Just their presence would ease the tension and fill the soldiers of the Trinity Kingdom with hope.
Yet, for some reason, they remained in the Grand Citadel, and none of them appeared.
Cain glanced at the citadel, wondering what Lord Commander Sarukan and the rest of the Legends were planning, when a feeling of dread suddenly assaulted his heart.
He immediately turned to the invading army, his eyes drawn to a distant figure.
Initially barely visible as a speck on the horizon, the figure began to rise above the massive navy.
As the entity ascended, an overwhelming presence unfurled, freezing Cain and all the other Sky Masters and Sky Lords in place.
Shadows deepened, and the air grew cold and heavy, the phenomena reaching Bravos despite the massive distance.
The sky above the figure seemed to ripple and bend under the sheer weight of his power, creating a vortex of darkness that consumed the light.
‘Grand Lich Morkon!’ Cain thought, his heart pounding.
He could not see the figure, but that sort of power could only belong to the King of the Lynch Kingdom, a Stellar Abyss Legend whose mere presence could eclipse the light of the stars.
