Not only had they lost over 60% of their warships and millions of foot soldiers, but they had also suffered massive casualties among the Sky Masters and Sky Lords, with nearly 150 of the Lynch Kingdom’s elite gone.

However, what hurt Grand Lich Morkon the most was the loss of five Legends.

The Lynch Kingdom was a warmongering empire that thrived on invading and controlling other forces, but this was the first time since Morkon took command that they had suffered such overwhelming losses in a single battle.

Two of the Legends were felled by Archduke Halbinder, which Morkon could accept, as the ice mage was renowned for his overwhelming skills and centuries of experience.

Yet, losing one Legend to a Sky Lord, a brat who didn’t seem even thirty years old, was a bitter pill to swallow.

Morkon’s frustration was compounded by the fact that the Legends of the Lynch Kingdom had been significantly weakened during the naval battle.

The journey across the Sea of Wonders had been arduous.

They had to fend off relentless attacks from sea monsters and deal with unpredictable phenomena that drained their energy.

As a result, when the first clash began, they were all very tired and far from their full power.

However, no matter the difficulty of the war, there was no turning back now.

The entire Lynch Kingdom had marched toward Trinity Island, and they would either win or leave behind their broken bodies.

Finally, after almost three weeks since the naval battle ended, Grand Lich Morkon opened his eyes and rose into the sky along with the rest of his forces.

His power was much higher than before, and so was that of the rest of the Legends.

The time they had spent recovering had been crucial.

They had finally managed to fully replenish their energy reserves and obtain proper rest.

No longer burdened by the exhaustion of their journey, it was time to unleash their full might.

Grand Lich Morkon’s eyes glowed with a necrotic light as he raised his hands, manifesting a dark moon.

It was massive, and the power it unleashed was so intense that it seemed capable of corroding the sky.

“Dark Moon!

Wave of Death!” An eerie voice emerged from Grand Lich Morkon’s mouth as the massive dark moon exploded, unleashing a massive energy field of dark and necrotic power toward Bravos City.

The dark energy surged forward like a tidal wave, a malevolent force that seemed to drain the very life from the air as it advanced.

The sky darkened, and an eerie silence fell over the battlefield as the wave approached Bravos, the necrotic power within it so potent that it seemed to warp reality itself.

Just as it seemed that the dark necrotic energy field would reach Bravos and melt the flesh of every single person within its walls, the golden sphere of flames atop the Grand Citadel activated with a brilliance that rivaled the sun.

“BOOOOMMMM!” The massive sphere of golden flames exploded outward, transforming into a shimmering force field that enveloped the entire city.

The light was so intense that it cast long shadows across the landscape, creating an almost divine barrier against the impending darkness.

Cain and all the other Sky Masters and Sky Lords in the sky watched in awe as the golden force field protected them from Grand Lich Morkon’s spell.

The contrast between the golden light and the dark energy was stark, a battle of pure light against utter darkness.

They could not help but glance with horror at the aftermath of the dark energy field around the city.

The necrotic power corroded everything it touched, turning the earth into a barren wasteland, withering the trees until they were nothing more than skeletal husks, and melting the flesh of every single animal or insect in its path, leaving a stench of decay that filled the air.  Grand Lich Morkon was not surprised that his attack failed to harm the city, as his goal from the beginning was to exhaust the energy in that golden sphere.

It would have been too dangerous to leave it present during the next clash.

Without hesitation, the leader of the Lynch Kingdom sent a signal, and the entire navy marched forward.

Immediately, all the Sky Masters, Sky Lords, and Legends also flew forward, their bodies brimming with power and killing intent as they were ready to repay the damage they took during the naval battle.

Twenty-seven Legends rose from the Grand Citadel, eyes cold and full of killing intent.

They knew their enemies would be much more powerful now, but they were not disheartened since fighting on the ground allowed them to use the Legendary War Machines.

Lord Commander Sarukan waved his hand, and the massive hundred-meter-long centipede statue began to stir.

Its segmented body of enchanted metal and stone clanked as it came to life, unleashing an energy pool that resonated with the power of a Legend.

The air around it crackled with energy, and the ground trembled as it moved, its many legs creating deep grooves in the earth.

The centipede was not alone.

Four stone golems, towering and robust, shook off their mossy coverings and stood tall.

Their bodies glowed with runic inscriptions, and each step they took sent shockwaves through the ground.

Three golden-winged griffons, majestic and fierce, spread their massive wings and took to the sky.

Two serpentine dragons, each the length of a ship, uncoiled and slithered forward.
