The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1042
Chapter 1042: Lynch Kingdom’s tower (II) Chapter 1042: Lynch Kingdom’s tower (II) It was not just Cain’s attention that was momentarily drawn to the coast; everybody noticed something strange happening with the broken bodies of the foot soldiers from the Lynch Kingdom.
The situation grew even more dire as every single one of the soldiers that had emerged from Grand Lich Morkon’s warship trembled before exploding into a bloody mass.
The broken masses of blood, bones, and flesh seemed to mutate with the addition of the thousands of people from Grand Lich Morkon’s warship, merging into a strange and bloody mob that began to gather on the shore.
The grisly spectacle was both shocking and disgusting, with flesh and bone intertwining and pulsating as if alive.
The mass started to rise, forming a towering structure that continued to grow, reaching an imposing height.
The twisted, sinewy tower was a stronghold of death and corruption.
Luckily for the people of the Lynch Kingdom, that aura did nothing to them, as their bodies had already adapted after years on Lynch Island, whose air was constantly flooded with the aura of decay.
On the other hand, soldiers and warriors from the Trinity Kingdom looked on in horror, their faces pale and eyes wide with disbelief as the power of the tower began to extend through the coast, sapping away their vitality and weakening them tremendously.
The shock and awe upon seeing the Flesh Tower were not limited to the Trinity Kingdom, as some of the Legends of the Lynch Kingdom were taken aback, clearly unaware of Grand Lich Morkon’s secret plan.
Lord Commander Sarukan, locked in battle with Morkon, was momentarily stunned by such a ghastly construct.
His eyes widened in shock and then narrowed in fury as he realized what was happening.
He had anticipated the Lynch Kingdom creating fortifications to establish a foothold on the coast, which was why he was extremely focused on any move the Legends could make.
However, Lord Commander Sarukan had never expected that Grand Lich Morkon would transform the bodies of his soldiers into pieces for a construct.
Those people were most likely unaware of the plan, believing they had been enhanced by the Legend’s energy.
“You wretched fiend!” Sarukan roared, his voice filled with rage.
He was not a saint, but could not understand how someone would do something so heinous to his own soldiers.
Morkon sneered, his eyes glowing with necrotic energy as he gazed at the Flesh Tower with a wide smile.
“War demands sacrifice, Sarukan.
Those men should be glad that their small lives could be used to create something so majestic.” The massive tower of flesh and bone stood as a grotesque beacon of the Lynch Kingdom’s power, and it seemed to pulsate with a life of its own.
Tendrils extended from the structure, lashing out and creating a defensive perimeter.
The sight filled the Trinity Kingdom’s forces with a mixture of revulsion and killing intent.
If Grand Lich Morkon did that to his own people, who knew what he would do in the future to their families and friends if he conquered Trinity Island?
Cain felt disgusted by the Flesh Tower and the tactics of the Lynch Kingdom, and a cold light appeared in his eyes.
‘It is still not fully stabilized.
I could use the darkness dragon and dragon metamorphosis to march toward it and attempt to destroy it.’ Those thoughts crossed Cain’s mind before an emotionless light began to arise in his eyes as the Power of Order activated, making him discard that train of thought.
He did not know the effect that summoning Legendary Innate Abilities would have on him, so the danger was simply too much and the rewards too little.
If this was Aether, Cain would not have hesitated, but it was not.
This was a foreign world, and the people in it could be allies, but they were not his family, and he would not risk his life for them unless the benefits matched the risk.
It was an extremely harsh and cold way to analyze things, but also pragmatic, the essence of the Power of Order.
With those thoughts out of his mind, Cain refocused his attention on the Sky Lords who did not stop attacking him.

Summoning his strength, Cain used Shadow Forge to create multiple whips and shields, deflecting incoming attacks and countering with lethal precision.
While Cain would not risk his life to take down the flesh tower, he would definitely thin the ranks of the Sky Lords to provide any advantage to the Trinity Kingdom’s forces.
He began to attack with utter ferocity and killing intent, willing to take wounds in exchange for taking enemy lives while keeping an eye on the sky.
On the highest battlefield, Lord Commander Sarukan and Archduke Halbinder fought with ferocity.
They had to bring down the Flesh Tower before it could solidify its presence, but it was easier said than done.
Only Legends had the power to break such a massive and powerful construct, but they were all busy in their fights, and if they were to distract themselves, death might very well wait for them the next second.
Lord Commander Sarukan and Archduke Halbinder used everything they had to find an opening, but Grand Lich Morkon was also willing to go beyond his limits to stop anyone from hindering the rise of the Flesh Tower.
The battle raged on, spells and strikes illuminating the sky.
Sarukan’s golden energy clashed with Morkon’s necrotic spells, each trying to overpower the other.
Halbinder’s ice magic created a ferocious tempest that sought to ensnare the Grand Lich, even for a second.
Unfortunately, despite their ferocity, the duo was not able to overcome the Stellar Abyss Legend and prevent the solidifying of the Flesh Tower.
Lord Commander Sarukan saw how the soldiers on the ground were asphyxiating due to the corroding aura of the flesh tower, and how even with the fortifications and energy matrices, they were losing ground.
He clenched his fists with rage and unwillingness before finally shouting, “Pull back!
Everybody to the center of Bravos City!”
