The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1068
Chapter 1068: Helix Continent’s dangers Chapter 1068: Helix Continent’s dangers Despite all these years, Cain still remembered very clearly the scene of that winged man who managed to sunder an entire army with a single strike and how he shouted the name of the Sun Lord before doing it.
Cain did not interrupt Filion’s description for much longer and signaled the old man to carry on.
“On the north of the Helix Continent, the Moon Cult reigns,” Filion said, pointing to the highlands shrouded in mist.
“They inhabit the misty highlands and dense forests.
The moonlight in that zone is special, nurturing the souls of its people and giving them a unique constitution.
It is very powerful, and also a matriarchal society, with women above all others.
They are very reclusive, and I don’t have much more information.” Cain nodded thoughtfully, his eyes sharp.
The Moon Cult was powerful, but it was not a choice, as there was no way he would go to a place where he would be suppressed by his gender.
His eyes then darted in another direction on the map.
“And the west, where the jungles lie?” “That’s the realm of the Tiamat Sect,” Filion continued, gesturing to the western territories.
“Wild, untamed, and teeming with life.
They have diverse magical practices, but their main power relies on their Dragon Path.” A meaningful light appeared in Cain’s eyes.
The Tiamat Sect didn’t seem to fall in power to the other two, and the fact it relied on something named Dragon Path could help him greatly, especially since one of the core components of his power was Dragonform.
Before asking more about the Tiamat Sect, Cain wanted a good description of the last power and the only one he had seen in action.
“What about these wastelands?” “Ah, the Blazing Wastes in the Sun Church domain,” Filion said, his eyes darkening.
“It’s a searing desert, with molten rivers and eternal daylight.
Few survive long there, yet it is the favored place of the Sun Church as it perfectly synergizes with their cultivation system.” Filion noticed the interest in Cain’s eyes when it came to the Sun Church, so he carried on.
“The Sun Church worships the Sun Lord, and through him, they obtained their power.
It’s considered the strongest of the forces in the Helix Continent, yet it is also the one with the lowest numbers, as very few can survive their initiation.” “Sun Lord?
Who is that entity?
A form of cosmic force?” Cain was intrigued by the idea that worship could bring power, so he wondered just what type of entity that was.
Unfortunately for Cain, Filion softly shook his head.
“I am sorry, but I do not know much.
Whom or what the Sun Lord is something only the higher-ups in the Sun Church are aware of.” Cain was a little disappointed, but he nodded, and soon his eyes saw various symbols scattered across the map.
“What about the dangers?
I see marks all over the map.” Filion leaned closer, tracing his finger along the marked locations.
“The Helix Continent is not without its perils.
While the areas dominated by the Moon Cult, Tiamat Sect, and Sun Church have order and security, there are countless locations outside of their range of control with all sorts of monsters and phenomena that can make the Sea of Wonder look like a calm pond.” There was a somber light in the man’s eyes, making it clear just how dangerous the Helix Continent’s wilderness was, and he then pointed his finger to the mark of a dark vortex.
“Near the Moon Cult’s border lies the Howling Abyss-a vast chasm filled with swirling dark winds.
Large amounts of soul force constantly burst from it, drawing the greed of many, but all those who got inside never came out.” “I understand,” Cain’s eyes were sharp, and while he was curious, he would not get near that place.

After all, if it was a location where not even Void Eclipse Legends could escape, then what chance did he have of surviving?
After that, Cain’s eyes wandered around the two locations that drew the most interest for him.
“What’s this area here between the Sun Lord and Tiamat?” “Those are the Shattered Peaks,” Filion explained, his voice steady.
“Jagged mountains with unstable terrain.
Rare minerals and fiery creatures dwell there.
Dangerous, but not impossible, and many Legends have tried their luck there.
Some perished, but many survived and brought out massive treasures.” “And this forest?” Cain asked, pointing to a dense green area.
“That’s the Enchanted Grove.
While it is inside the Moon Cult’s territory, it is truly a no-man’s land,” Filion replied.
“Time and space seem to warp there.
There are strange treasures and monsters occasionally appear, only to vanish the next second.
No one knows what that place’s true nature is, so everybody just keeps away from it.” Cain could not help but smile as he realized that the Helix Continent was full of wonder that even powerful Legends were awed by.
His gaze moved to a labyrinthine symbol.
“I see a labyrinth?” “Yes, the Serpent’s Labyrinth in the Tiamat Sect’s jungles,” Filion confirmed.
“A network of tunnels inhabited by massive serpents and other creatures.
It is used as a training ground.” “And the southern swamps?” Cain inquired.
“The Blood Swamps, right above the border of the South Coast Alliance,” Filion explained.
“Crimson waters and toxic mists-many have vanished there, and is used by some weak criminal forces as their base.” Cain pointed to a valley marked with both fiery and icy symbols.
“This valley between the Moon and Sun territories?” “Frostfire Valley,” Filion replied, a hint of awe in his voice.
“Fire and ice coexist there, creating a surreal landscape.
The number of people of the Moon Sect and Sun Church perishing there is massive.” Cain’s eyes settled on towering structures in the center of the map.
“These spires?” “The Skyreach Spires, believed to be remnants of ancient titans,” Filion said, his voice filled with wonder.
“Shrouded in clouds, with all sort of ancient inheritances.” Cain continued asking more and more questions to the old man.
He wanted to know everything about the Helix Continent.
