The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1070
Chapter 1070: Decennial Gate Auction (I) Chapter 1070: Decennial Gate Auction (I) Nora’s eyes narrowed for a moment as she heard those words.
Placing treasures into the auction was easier, but the entrance to the next large-scale auction was entirely different, and she did not dare to assure the Legend that he could get in.
“The next large-scale auction is the Decennial Gate Auction, and will happen in one week.
However, most slots are already reserved, and getting access to one is very hard.
I am afraid I cannot assure your entrance without first seeing the type of treasures you will place,” her words were clear and concise, respectful yet firm, not wasting time on useless talks and going straight to the point.
Cain smiled as he did not like to waste his time and nodded.
“I understand.
Where can I display the treasures?” Nora smiled, happy that the Legend would not act rashly and generate problems for her.
After all, there was no small number of people who thought that by just awakening their True Name, the rest of the world needed to bow to them.
“Please follow me.” Seeing that the young man liked things fast, Nora did not dally and brought Cain to a private room with a large metallic table.
“Place your treasures on the table, and I will help with the analysis.” Cain immediately waved his hand, bringing forth four Legendary weapons and two sets of Legendary armor.
He had killed many more Legends but destroyed their weapons or armor during their fights.
Nora’s eyes narrowed as she saw the treasures.
They were all Low-Grade Legendary Artifacts and could boost the power of weak Dark Seed Legends, but she did not know whether it was good enough to secure one of the remaining spots in the Decennial Gate Auction.
However, there was one last artifact that Cain had yet to reveal.
A tattered black robe appeared the next second.
It seemed like a ragged cloth at first sight, but Nora’s eyes widened as she focused on it.
“That is a Middle-Grade Legendary Artifact!” Nora was truly surprised as she analyzed the robe and felt its properties.
While there was only one tier in distance between Low Grade and Middle Grade, the difference was massive.
A Low-Grade Legendary Artifact was something nearly all Legends had, and even Sky Lords could get their hands on one.
However, Middle-Grade Legendary Artifacts were different as they contained immense power, capable of greatly boosting Dark Seed Legends and even improving Stellar Abyss Legends.
The robe was, of course, the equipment of Grand Lich Morkon, and could be considered one of the most expensive treasures in Cain’s collection.
Even in that state, it was more valuable than all the other treasures Cain had put forth.
Nora gazed at the robe for a few moments, contemplating something before finally speaking to Cain.
“We could mend the Middle-Grade Legendary Artifact for you and place it in the auction in exchange for twenty percent of the price.
Of course, you will also get a seat for the Decennial Gate Auction.” “It is a deal!” Cain smiled and immediately nodded toward Nora’s proposal.
The price that the magic robe would fetch once fixed would definitely rise more than just 20%, and he would secure a slot in the large-scale auction, so it was a win-win.
“Excellent!” Nora smiled as she waved her hand, making a golden card appear and engraved a few letters on it before handing it over.
“This is your ticket for the Decennial Gate Auction, and with it, you can track your items in the auction.
You can also stay in one of our suites if you so desire until the auction begins.” “Thanks.

I will do that.” Cain did not refuse the free accommodation and followed Nora until they reached one of the higher floors of the Millennium Auction House.
He then said goodbye to the young woman and entered his room.
The place was truly luxurious, just like the rest of the auction house, but the only thing that Cain saw was the bed, and he threw himself in it before calmly closing his eyes and falling asleep.
He had not had a proper night of rest since the arrival on the shore and was very tired.
Of course, Cain did not lower his guard; after all, he did not know these people and would not bet his safety just because of their good reputation.
Part of his mind was still on alert and ready to act in case of any sign of danger, but luckily nothing of that type happened.
As Cain woke up, a relaxed expression appeared on his face, but it did not last long as focus arose in his eyes.
‘Where there is money, there will always be those that seek to obtain it.’ The Decennial Gate Auction was bound to be a place where a massive amount of wealth moved, and there would be people who wanted to obtain it by any means necessary.
While they might not be so crazy as to steal from the Commerce Association and the Millennium Auction House, they might very well wait for people to leave the city and steal everything they have.
Actually, part of Cain wanted something like that to happen.
After all, if a group of thieves came at him, he would devour them and steal their Innate Abilities, and no one could say anything.
Besides, he was confident in his ability to run away from anyone that was too powerful.
Of course, preparation was never bad, so Cain closed his eyes and focused on his Dark Seed black hole.
‘Currently, I have only one Sky Master Innate Ability, and that is Weight Manipulation.
My Legendary Innate Abilities are Scarlet Reaper, Reaper Touch, Dragonform, Soul Combustion, Necrotic Saint, Earthquake Blow, Necrotic Armor, Shadow Master, and Illusion Realm.’ A sharp light appeared in Cain’s eyes as he analyzed his Innate Abilities.
He could consume some to enhance others but chose against it as he had yet to establish his primary battle style.
