Chapter 1093: Yin-Yang Dragon Breath (II) Chapter 1093: Yin-Yang Dragon Breath (II) After two relentless weeks of flying non-stop, Cain finally reached the mighty Hellgaping Belt, the volcanic range that acted as a natural barrier between the South Coast and the mainland of the Helix Continent.

The Hellgaping Belt was a monstrous, almost otherworldly sight.  Towering mountains stretched into the sky, their peaks constantly spewing plumes of ash and smoke that choked the upper atmosphere, making it impossible for even the strongest Stellar Abyss Legends to navigate the skies above.

The very air was thick with the stench of sulfur, and the heat radiating from the bubbling lava rivers beneath the jagged landscape was suffocating.

This mountain range was more than just a natural barrier-it was a living, breathing force of nature.

The active volcanoes erupted frequently, their violent outbursts shaking the earth for miles around.

The ground itself was unstable, shifting as molten rock seethed below, threatening to tear open at any moment.  Toxic gasses belched from the volcanoes, while rivers of lava carved their way through the land, burning everything in their path.

Any attempt to pass over or through the mountains was suicidal, save for one narrow path-an ancient route carved by extremely powerful Legends whose power could alter the rules of reality.

The Safe Passage was the only viable route through the Hellgaping Belt, and even it was fraught with danger.

Though protected from the frequent eruptions and rivers of lava, it remained perilous, requiring precision and speed to traverse without succumbing to the toxic atmosphere or sudden shifts in the landscape.  For centuries, this passage had been the only way to move between the South Coast and the mainland of the Helix Continent, and now it was Cain’s goal.

As Cain hovered just above the volcanic peaks, cloaked by the Pyramid of Shadows in the Shadow Realm, his sharp draconic eyes focused on the Safe Passage.

His gaze narrowed as he sensed several powerful auras clustered around the route.

A surge of annoyance shot through him as he realized there were at least six Legends present, along with dozens of Sky Lords scattered throughout the area.

Cain was momentarily shocked by the sheer number of powerful warriors.

He had moved quickly, flying non-stop for two weeks, and House Arken’s forces should not have reached the Hellgaping Belt before him.

However, as he inspected the auras more closely, it became clear these were not Arken warriors.  ‘These are most likely mercenaries or powerful organizations incentivized by House Arken to block my passage.’ Cain’s eyes were sharp as he realized the difficulties he would now face.

The annoyance only grew stronger as Cain’s eyes noticed a strange device pulsed with spatial distortions in the center of the path, twisting the fabric of reality around it.

The device was undoubtedly designed to pull him out of the Shadow Realm if he approached too closely.

It was a well-laid trap-meant to force him into a direct confrontation.

Cain’s expression hardened as he realized the extent of Aurelius’s preparation.

Aurelius had evidently anticipated Cain’s use of the Pyramid of Shadows and had warned these mercenaries of its power, so trying to pass silently without a fight went from hard to impossible.

As Cain assessed the battlefield, his mind raced through various strategies.

There were six Legends in total.

One was a Level 26 Stellar Abyss Legend, while the others were Dark Seed Legends.

Most hovered around Level 21, though one stood out as a more formidable opponent, a Level 24 Legend.

The Sky Lords, however, were of little consequence.

Their attacks would be futile against his draconic defenses; they were nothing more than pawns, drawn here by the lure of easy rewards.

A cold, calculating light appeared in Cain’s eyes as he studied their positioning.

They didn’t know he was there, thanks to the Pyramid of Shadows, but they were prepared for his arrival.

The mercenaries had positioned themselves strategically, covering the Safe Passage from multiple angles, ready to overwhelm him once he was forced out of the Shadow Realm.

Since they had no way to react to him until he emerged, Cain knew he had the advantage of time.

A deadly grin formed on his lips.  Cain descended silently to the edge of the spatial disruption waves, just outside the device’s range.

His towering draconic form stood still as he gathered his energy, the air around him vibrating with raw power.

His lungs began to swell as he pulled in more and more energy.

As his energy continued to build, Cain’s focus shifted inward.

The Yin Core and Yang Core stirred within his lungs, the opposing forces of cold and heat coiling within him.

Meanwhile, the mercenaries across the Hellgaping Belt were on high alert.

The leader of the group, a Level 26 Mage with an aura steeped in darkness and abyssal power, stood at the center of the formation.

His body was covered in dark runes, and demonic flames flickered in his eyes.

His name was Overion, and he had been offered an immense sum of wealth to stop a single individual from crossing the Hellgaping Belt.

Initially, he had thought it would be an easy task, believing the target to be just another Dark Seed Legend.

However, things changed upon learning that the man had killed three Legends from House Arken, with one being Level 26.

He understood the seriousness of the situation and had brought his entire force.

Just as the day was coming to an end, Overion’s eyes narrowed as he looked to the sky.

He watched as space itself shattered, revealing massive draconic maws, charged with flames that carried the destructive power of ghostly energy and overwhelming heat.

“LOOK OUT!” Overion shouted, altering the rest of his forces in the Safe Passage, before making his energy explode with all his strength, generating dark energy that flowed from his soul and rose to the sky, generating a massive canopy that sought to block the incoming dragon breath.

“Yin-Yang Dragon Breath!” Those words echoed across the Hellgaping Belt as the massive burst of flames descended from the sky.
