As soon as Cain blocked the golden flames, she was already upon him, her spear aiming for his heart.

He barely had time to sidestep the blow, feeling the heat of the spear graze past him as it narrowly missed his chest.

Cain countered with a swift slash of Sky Breaker, aiming for her exposed side.

He just needed a minor wound for Reaper Touch to come into play.

But Marya’s reaction was just too quick.

Her radiant wings flared as she spun her spear to block the attack.

“¡BOOM!” The clash of their weapons rang out again, sparks of golden light and dark scarlet flames lighting up the battlefield.

The very air trembled as the massive torrent of destructive flames roared toward Marya, Rodrick, and Dimitri, engulfing the area in its deadly wake.

The three warriors of the Sun Church, who had faced all sorts of enemies in their lives, were shocked to witness such overwhelming power from a Dark Seed Legend.

It was then that Cain noticed something different about Marya.

The tip of her spear was covered with a faint ember of white flame.
