Chapter 1105: Tiamat Sect (III) Chapter 1105: Tiamat Sect (III) The unique version of the Sun Church’s Path of Sacrifices was known as the Path of the Archangel. It was a system unlike any other Cain had encountered, a twisted combination of faith, sacrifice, and soul-binding that connected its followers directly to the Sun Lord in a way that was as dangerous as it was powerful.

Unlike normal Path of Sacrifices that may involve material sacrifices or physical offerings, the Sun Church demanded its followers’ faith as the primary form of devotion.  This faith was more than a mere belief; it was a living force that empowered the connection between the Sacrificer and the Sun Lord.

Every child born in the domains of the Sun Church was indoctrinated in this system from the moment they were able to understand the world around them.  Giving faith in exchange for energy for training did not seem like a bad trait and could actually be considered quite magnanimous by the Sun Lord.

However, things change when they want to break the limit of the Physical Realm of Existence in the Sacrificer Path.  The core of the Path of the Archangel lay in the sacrifice of the follower’s soul!

This wasn’t symbolic or metaphorical-it was a literal offering.

The Sacrificer would give up a portion of their soul, an actual fragment of their spiritual essence, to the Sun Lord in exchange for power.  In return for this piece of soul, the Sun Lord would replace the lost fragment with his own soul force, infusing the Sacrificer with divine energy and transforming them into a Four Winged Angel-a being of strength equivalent to a Dark Seed Legend!

Cain couldn’t help but reflect on how this sacrifice went beyond a simple transaction.

The more a follower advanced, the more of their soul they surrendered to the Sun Lord.

Each time, a larger fragment of the Sun Lord’s soul force would take its place, granting the Sacrificer even greater power while also making them increasingly dependent on the Sun Lord.

The soul sacrifice wasn’t just a trade for strength; it was a form of spiritual fusion, intertwining the Sacrificer with the divine essence of the Sun Lord.  As the Sacrificer gave up more and more of their soul, they essentially surrendered their individuality and autonomy.

‘What happens to those who reach the extreme of this path?’ Cain wondered.

‘If a Sacrificer gives up their entire soul, would they still be themselves, or would they become nothing more than an extension of the Sun Lord, a puppet controlled by his divine essence?’ The more Cain analyzed it, the more twisted and disturbing the Path of the Archangel appeared.

It was a path that promised power but at the cost of one’s very identity.

Cain couldn’t imagine exchanging even a fragment of his soul for power.

For him, that would be giving up his freedom and his will.

“I’m glad I never went near the Sun Church,” Cain muttered to himself.

Even if they had sought him out, there was no way he would have walked that path.

It went against everything he valued.

These forces had clashed occasionally for many years, but outright war had been avoided due to the balance of power.

Even a victory would come at too high a cost.

However, everything changed when the Sun Church launched a sudden, overwhelming attack on the Tiamat Sect.

Mobilizing their full might, the Sun Church struck without warning, slaughtering dozens of powerful dragons in a brutal surprise assault.

The attack had been so swift and unexpected that the Tiamat Sect was barely able to mount a defense.

The situation for the Tiamat Sect had grown dire until the mightiest Immortal Dragon of the sect, Bahamut, awakened from his slumber.

With his immense strength, Bahamut led the dragons in a fierce counterattack, pushing the Sun Church back.

The battle lasted for seven days, a war of unimaginable scale that shook the very foundations of the continent.

In the end, both sides agreed to a truce.

Although the hatred between the Sun Church and the Tiamat Sect remained strong, the impending opening of the Primeval World forced them to cease hostilities.

If they had continued fighting, the Moon Cult would have seized the advantage and claimed the treasures of the Primeval World for themselves.

Cain absorbed all this information, piecing together the larger picture.

The Sun Church’s attack on the Tiamat Sect had left deep scars, and the conflict was far from over.

The truce was only a temporary ceasefire, with both sides waiting for the right moment to strike again, most likely within the Primeval World itself.

Mountain ranges loomed in the distance, so tall they dwarfed even the towering Eldrick.

The landscape was wild, untamed, and teeming with life.

He had finally reached the Land of Wildness, the domain of the Tiamat Sect.
