Chapter 1108: Scarlet Dragon vs Ice Dragon (I) Chapter 1108: Scarlet Dragon vs Ice Dragon (I) Cain frowned as he heard Zalgrim’s words, his eyes sharpening.

Initially, he thought there would be no issue with not being a trueborn dragon.

After all, Eldrick had extended the invitation to join the Tiamat Sect and showed no problem with his human identity.

But it seemed he had underestimated the challenges ahead.

If others were like Zalgrim, Cain realized he might face more obstacles than anticipated.

In an organization showing signs of xenophobia, rising through the ranks could present all sorts of problems.

Being a genius only made one more of a target, just like when he was hunted back in the Blood Sea.

Zalgrim continued, his voice crackling with electricity and disdain.

“Someone who’s killed members of the Sun Church deserves a bloodline on the spot!

And you, Eldrick, you’re holding out like some miser!” However, what Zalgrim said next shocked Cain and made him understand he had misinterpreted the situation.

Zalgrim shouted at Eldrick, accusing him of being one of the wealthiest elders in the sect yet stingy for not granting Cain a bloodline.

The lightning dragon wasn’t criticizing Cain for lacking a dragon bloodline.

Instead, he was furious at Eldrick for not giving Cain one!  “Who are you calling cheap, you muscle-brained fool!” The colossal obsidian dragon responded immediately.

Eldrick looked momentarily embarrassed before erupting in anger.

“I have bloodlines to give!

But judging by Cain’s battle style, none of them suited him!

I was waiting for approval from the Grand Elders to grant him a Zero Bloodline!” Zalgrim sneered, his glowing blue eyes narrowing.

“Cheap as always, Eldrick!” he scoffed before turning toward Cain, focusing on him for a moment before continuing, “A Zero Bloodline would be easier to get with the approval of two Elders.

And guess what?

I’m willing to help you get one, but only if you prove your worth and show me you’ve got the heart of a dragon!” Cain’s eyes grew sharp, and his battle spirit ignited as he absorbed Zalgrim’s words.

Though he had no idea what kind of trial awaited him, obtaining a dragon bloodline would certainly accelerate his progress on the Tiamat Dragon Path.  “What do I need to do?” Cain’s voice was steady, his eyes devoid of fear.

Only hunger and determination burned within them.

Zalgrim grinned, his sharp teeth glowing with electric energy.

“Good.

That is the attitude I wanted to see!” he growled in approval, his voice rumbling like thunder.

“Prove your strength, and show me the heart of a dragon.” “Celsar, come here!” Zalgrim called, signaling one of the dragons that had accompanied him to step forward.

A massive dragon of ice, towering at ten thousand meters tall, strode forward.

The air around him froze instantly, and an overwhelming chill radiated from his body, turning the sky above a pale, icy blue.

His presence was suffocating, the sheer cold emanating from his scales chilling everything in his vicinity.

The air around the ice dragon’s claws cracked and froze, sparkling with crystalline shards as his freezing aura manifested.

Zalgrim turned his glowing eyes toward Cain once more.

“Show me the power capable of slaughtering Angels, young man.

I don’t ask you to win, only to show me a fighting will worthy of becoming a member of the Tiamat Sect!” “Let our hearts burn!” The ice dragon, Celsar, let out a low, rumbling growl as he focused on Cain, his frosty breath creating a plume of mist in the air.

Cain could feel the ice dragon’s immense power and knew immediately that this wouldn’t be a simple fight.

Though Celsar was only a Level 24 Dark Seed Legend, his aura carried the same unique power exuded by Eldrick and Zalgrim, making it clear that Celsar also followed the Tiamat Dragon Path.

There was no telling what unique powers and abilities the ice dragon had, but Cain’s resolve did not waver.

His muscles tensed, and his draconic form flared with energy as he prepared for the battle ahead.

“Let our hearts burn!” Cain shouted, his voice full of resolve as his power surged to its limit, scarlet flames covering his entire body.

Zalgrim and Eldrick smiled, pleased by Cain’s fighting spirit.

It was always good to see someone with the heart and bravery of a dragon joining their sect, especially one who had already proven he could kill Angels.

The two ancient dragons moved away from the battlefield, sending sharp glances in all directions to ensure no one interfered, allowing the scarlet dragon and the ice dragon to fight to their heart’s content.

Cain and Celsar locked eyes, their battle spirit blazing as they took deep breaths, the atmosphere around them growing tense with the surge of their power.

They were dragons, and their first move would be the defining attack of all dragons-their Dragon Breath!

“Freezing Soul Dragon Breath!” Celsar’s deep voice rumbled through the air like the onset of an avalanche.

A torrent of ice energy erupted forth, a blast so cold that the very air around it froze into crystal-like shards.

The icy energy surged forward, its intensity so overwhelming that it seemed to freeze the particles of light and air in its path.

Anything caught in the breath’s reach was immediately covered in a thick layer of frost, the heaven above cracking under the pressure of the extreme cold.

The beam of ice was so pure and potent that it shone with an eerie, bluish-white glow, creating a frozen trail in its wake.

Cain’s eyes widened in awe at the sheer power of the Freezing Soul Dragon Breath.

He felt in that attack the power to stop life itself, freezing not only the physical body but, as the name implied, the very soul of its target.

However, no matter his opponent’s strength, Cain would never falter, and his eyes burned with even greater battle will!

The scarlet dragon’s energy spiked as he gathered his own breath, the dual forces of Yin and Yang swirling within him.
