The Grand Elder’s summons made Cain pause, and he turned to face the ancient ice dragon with a curious and respectful expression as he flew toward him.

Kryos waited until Cain was in front of him before speaking.

“Cain, I can see your growth, and I am very satisfied.

As you might be aware, you have been ascended to the Elder tier.

While you have not done a lot for the sect yet, the Dragon Empress has given you her blessing, and her wisdom is absolute.” Cain nodded as he understood the rationale behind his ascension to Elder of the Tiamat Sect.

Although technically, he hadn’t done anything to earn that merit in the traditional sense, he wasn’t about to argue against a promotion that would only benefit him.

So, he silently accepted the honor.

Grand Elder Kryos, seeing Cain’s acknowledgment, continued, “As an Elder, you have the right to obtain one of the supreme treasures of the sect.

I took the liberty of choosing one for you.” With a wave of his hand, Kyros sent a small crystal floating toward Cain.

Cain caught the crystal, and as he infused it with his soul force, he was met with the image of a massive sphere of blinding light.

Though he didn’t immediately recognize what it was, the potency of the energy within made it clear that this was an incredibly powerful treasure.

Noticing Cain’s curiosity, Grand Elder Kryos explained, “This is a Suncore Shield.

Once absorbed, it will form a protective membrane around your black hole, constantly nurturing and helping it grow while protecting you from soul invasion attacks.” Cain’s eyes widened in surprise as he heard the details of the treasure.

It was evident that this Suncore Shield would significantly enhance his survival abilities, making him far more resilient against soul-based attacks.

However, a peculiar expression crossed his face as he realized that this treasure didn’t seem to align with typical dragon-type artifacts.

After bowing to Kryos, he turned and flew back to his residence, eager to begin the process of integrating the Suncore Shield.  For the next few hours, silence reigned across the sect.
