The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1153
Chapter 1153: New target Chapter 1153: New target A luxurious carriage flew through the sky toward the Hellgaping Belt, a beautifully crafted artifact moving at an impressive speed.
It was surrounded by a dozen Sky Lords, all clad in powerful armor and wielding weapons, their sharp eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of danger.
Inside the carriage sat two individuals.
One was an old man with an imposing aura, his eyes radiating with soul force.
He was clearly a Legendary existence who had already awakened his True Name, having surpassed the limits of the Physical Realm of cultivation.
Despite his strength, his expression was tired and filled with frustration.
The cause of his weariness sat in front of him.
“This is not fair!” The young man facing the Legend was a Level 18 Sky Master.
He was not particularly handsome, and the arrogance in his eyes was so thick it made those around him uncomfortable.
“I was having such a good time!
Grandfather had no reason to send me back!” the young man shouted, venting his frustration once again.
The old Legend sighed inwardly, tired of the complaints.
If he were honest, he didn’t want to leave the Sun Church’s lands either-training there had been beneficial, and he had felt signs of his black hole breaking beyond the limits of Level 21.
Unfortunately, despite being a Legend, he didn’t have the authority to deny the commands of the young man’s grandfather, a Level 26 Stellar Abyss Legend.
‘We’re leaving because of you, you arrogant brat,’ the old man thought as he glanced at the young man.
The reason for their sudden departure was simple: the young man’s reckless and domineering behavior had drawn too much attention.
He was used to doing whatever he pleased in the South Coast Alliance, where his family name protected him.
Countless innocents had suffered under his whims, but he had never faced any consequences.
However, the Sun Church was not a place where such arrogance could be tolerated.
In the end, the young man’s grandfather sent him back to the South Coast to avoid further conflict with the angels, and the old man had been ordered to protect him on the journey home.
Despite his anger and frustration, the old man kept his thoughts to himself.
Even as a Legend, he wasn’t particularly powerful and needed to maintain his relationship with the young man’s grandfather to keep his life of leisure and comfort.
As the carriage neared the South Coast, the young man grew even more irritable.
“Ahh, I don’t want to return to the South Coast!” Just as those words left his mouth, a voice echoed through the air, filled with power and menace.
“Then remain forever!” The young man and the old Legend’s eyes widened in terror, their instincts screaming at them, but it was already too late.
The moment the voice sounded, the attack had begun.
Terror flashed across their faces as massive fangs pierced through the carriage’s metallic structure, engulfing them in a sea of scarlet flames.
Their skin melted, and their eyes exploded from the heat. A colossal scarlet dragon appeared out of nowhere, seemingly shattering space.
With one swift motion, it swallowed the entire carriage in a single gulp, killing those inside instantly. The dozen Sky Lords guarding the carriage detected nothing until it was too late, and as they saw the dragon’s gargantuan body, horror overwhelmed their souls.
Immediately after witnessing the dragon devour a Legendary existence so effortlessly, none dared to fight.

Instead, they tried to flee in different directions, hoping at least some could escape.
Cain’s gaze remained cold as he watched the Sky Lords attempt to flee.
Though they had done nothing to him, he couldn’t allow them to escape.
Revealing his presence was out of the question.
Mercy had no place in his heart-especially toward those allied with the enemy.
The Power of Order coursing through him suppressed any empathy, making killing effortless.
Before the Sky Lords could even begin their escape, a burst of shadows erupted from Cain’s massive body, creating a dark domain that enveloped the entire area and swallowed all twelve Sky Lords.
The shadow domain lasted no more than five seconds, and when it dissipated, there was no trace of the scarlet dragon or the group from the South Coast Alliance.
Not even a drop of blood remained.
It was as if they had never existed.
Cain lingered in the Shadow Realm, away from prying eyes, a cold smile on his face as he felt the young scion, the Level 21 Legend, and the twelve Sky Lords being consumed by his scarlet flames.
The group wasn’t weak, but Cain was an Ancient Dragon and had taken them by surprise.
It was no wonder they had perished without so much as a scream or the chance to warn anyone of the crisis they faced.
Just a few months ago, assimilating the existence of a Legend and twelve Sky Lords through Scarlet Reaper would have taken hours, but after the enhancement of his existence through the Oniric Truth of Gluttony, the assimilation process had become exponentially faster.
In just a few minutes, Cain had absorbed the full range of their memories, and thanks to his massive soul force, he processed the information immediately.
A small frown appeared on his face.
None of them possessed Innate Abilities that were particularly useful to him, not even the one from the Legend.
But as he sifted through the final memories of the old man, a sharp glint appeared in Cain’s eyes, accompanied by a surge of hunger.
Within the old man’s memories, Cain found information about someone whose Innate Ability would make it easier to face the powerhouses of the South Coast Alliance and steal their abilities.
‘I guess it wasn’t a complete waste of time,’ Cain thought, a cold smile forming on his face.
With that valuable information, Cain flew deeper into the Hellgaping Belt, remaining hidden within the Shadow Realm.
During his flight, Cain focused on his black hole, using Scarlet Reaper to consume all the abilities he had obtained, refining them into golden origin force.
He then channeled this energy into the sphere containing the Shadow Master Legendary Innate Ability.
If Cain were to carry out assassinations within the South Coast Alliance and remain undetected, mastery of shadows would be critical.
It would also be a useful tool for escaping should danger arise.
