The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1163
Chapter 1163: Fighting three Stellar Abyss Legends (III) Chapter 1163: Fighting three Stellar Abyss Legends (III) “Yin-Yang Dragon Breath!” A torrent of destructive energy erupted upward, meeting the descending meteors.
The resulting collision filled the dome with blinding light and deafening sound.
Overion shielded his eyes, feeling the backlash of his failed attack.
Seizing the moment, Harland surged forward, his sword enveloped in a brilliant aura.
He struck at Cain’s underbelly, the blade finding a gap between the scales. “Burn, damn ant!” Cain growled, channeling dark scarlet flames through his scales.
The fire, enhanced by Reaper Touch, pulsed outward, seeping into Harland’s sword and traveling up into his arms.
Harland felt a burning sensation as the destructive force ate away at his defenses, spreading cracks along his diamond skin and forcing him to dash away.
Jamar unleashed another volley of explosive arrows, aiming for Cain’s head.
The scarlet dragon was still recovering from the wound on his belly, so he was barely able to react when the arrows were already upon him.
Cain whipped his tail around, using Weight Manipulation to amplify its mass.
The tail collided with the arrows, but the resulting explosions sent shockwaves that momentarily disoriented him.
Taking advantage, Overion cast a binding spell.
Chains of abyssal darkness shot up from the ground, wrapping around Cain’s limbs.
The dragon struggled against them, the chains writhing as they tried to hold his immense form.
“Now!” Harland yelled, burning his vitality to enhance his physical might.
While it was a desperate move, the truth was he was desperate since if they did not win soon, their wounds would eat away their life force, and they would die.
The trio coordinated their attacks.
Harland leaped toward Cain’s head, sword raised.
Jamar fired a concentrated beam of energy from his bow, and Overion summoned a spear of dark matter, hurling it with all his might.
Cain’s eyes flashed.
“Impressive, but futile.” Activating Shadow Master, his body dissolved into shadows, slipping free from the bindings.
The attacks passed through where he had been moments before, colliding with each other instead.
Cain reformed behind them, his claws crackling with fire.
He swiped at Jamar, who barely dodged but still received a glancing blow.
The archer cried out as Reaper Touch took effect, the wound on his side deepening painfully.
Overion attempted to retreat, but Cain’s tail, heavy with augmented weight, slammed into him, sending him crashing into the ground.
The mage coughed up blood, his vision blurred.
Harland, wounded and his defenses weakening, stood between Cain and the duo.
He was not so selfless as to give his life for the other two, and if there had been a chance to escape, he would have readily done it, leaving them to their fate.
However, there was nowhere to run, and if he allowed Cain to kill them, he would have to face the scarlet dragon alone, which was the same as dying.

“Stand up, now!” Harland’s voice carried a sense of urgency, as he needed the duo to act fast.
Cain regarded him with a cold stare.
“You are only delaying the inevitable, but so be it.” The next second, his entire body burst with power as his vitality began to burn.
“Dragon’s Wrath!” Harland’s eyes widened as the power of the scarlet dragon rose even more, a feeling of overwhelming dread assaulting him.
However, he just clenched his teeth, shutting down the part of his brain that felt fear, and charged, his sword glowing brighter than ever.
Cain met him head-on, their clash generating a shockwave that rattled the very foundations of the Glass Dome.
Despite his efforts, Harland’s strength was waning, and the scarlet dragon’s might had risen.
The massive claws pushed away the sword before slamming into Harland’s body.
The cracks in his diamond skin spread, and Reaper Touch continued to erode his resilience as he crashed into the ground, forming a massive crater.
Jamar mustered the last of his strength, drawing one final arrow.
“Take this, you damn lizard!” he shouted, releasing it with all his remaining energy.
The arrow split into dozens of missiles mid-flight, all honing in on Cain.
Seeing the incoming barrage, Cain unleashed Earthquake Blow once more, sending a powerful shockwave that detonated the missiles prematurely.
Explosions rippled across the battlefield, obscuring vision with smoke and dust.
Cain’s body morphed with the shadows as he moved across the battlefield, and the dust from the explosions still obscured everything.
Several screams and small explosions followed before silence finally reigned.
When the air cleared, Harland lay face down, his sword shattered.
Half of Overion’s body was gone, the man barely alive, and Jamar had lost his arms as he gazed at the sky with a blank expression on his face.
On the other hand, the massive scarlet dragon stood imposing; there were some wounds over his body, but the flames were already healing them, and in less than an hour, he would be as good as new.
It was clear that the difference in their power was overwhelming.
Lord Zero sat on the edge of the Glass Dome, the rainbow-colored energy still protecting him from the devastation below.
His expression was calm and inscrutable as he observed the battle’s outcome.
Cain gazed at the leader of the Commerce Association.
From the start of the fight, he had kept an eye on the man, but all this time, he had done nothing else but sit and watch the battle.
‘A truly peculiar individual indeed,’ that thought crossed Cain’s mind as he focused once more on the defeated trio.
His claws grabbed them and tossed them into his maw, swallowing them whole before their end could come.
Harland, Jamar, and Overion soon reached Cain’s stomach, where a sea of scarlet flames received them.
The trio was already unconscious by that point, which was lucky since they did not have to experience the agony of having Scarlet Reaper flood their bodies and souls, consuming every single iota of their existence.
The trio were Stellar Abyss Legends, so even though Cain’s devouring abilities had been greatly enhanced, obtaining everything they had would take some time, especially since he refrained from using the power of the Oniric Truth of Gluttony.
