For Cain, consuming people was nothing unusual; even before fully becoming a dragon, he’d been devouring others, and it was no different in the Aether, where he had consumed the life and soul of hundreds of millions.  “My Eye of Gluttony works better on people, so maybe the Mark of Abaddon, being similar, would also prefer them, and that could satiate your hunger.

You could also try with other life forms capable of forming black holes.” For Cain, consuming other people was no different than eating animals, but he was an anomaly.

To normal individuals, consuming other beings-especially humanoids of their own race-was a grave taboo.

Silence hung in the air before Zero finally spoke.

“My Lord, I don’t know if I can walk that path.” Cain smiled slightly, recognizing the man’s reservations, ones he himself had faced long ago.

“What’s the difference between a beast that attacks you and an enemy from your own race?

I understand that you might find it strange at first or have some ethical problem.

It might be easier if you target despicable people.

You’ll be doing the world a service by eliminating them, and you could solve your problem at the same time, so it is a win-win.” Zero was quiet for a few moments before sighing.

“I will consider it, my Lord.” Cain nodded, his tone understanding.

Whether you follow my advice or find another solution is up to you.

As long as you avoid targeting children or the weak, I don’t care who becomes your prey.

Despite not being fully recovered, his massive body moved swiftly.

It would only be a matter of time before he returned to the mainland of the Helix Continent.
