Chapter 1186: Back to the sect Chapter 1186: Back to the sect Book 13 – The heir of the abyss — The sky of the Land of Wildness was filled with all sorts of life forms, but because each pack had its own territory, it was mostly peaceful, creating a beautiful vista.

Suddenly, the sky trembled, and the next moment, a massive scarlet dragon emerged from a portal that seemed to lead into a dimension full of shadows.

His presence flooded the surroundings, causing all the beasts in the vicinity to flee-even those powerful enough to face Stellar Abyss Legends raced away, terrified by the dragon’s aura.

Cain couldn’t help but smile as he observed the reaction of the beasts to his presence.

Less than two years ago, when he first appeared in the Land of Wildness, he had only been able to fly without worrying about the beasts because Eldrick had accompanied him.

Without wasting any more time, Cain continued flying, his lightning-charged wings beating with immense power as he ventured deeper into the Land of Wildness.

Due to his speed and a path free of obstacles, it didn’t take long for him to spot the massive body of the Star-Bound Sovereign Drakonis.

As Cain approached the colossal corpse of the ancient dragon, many pairs of eyes from other dragons turned toward him, surprise and awe clear in their gazes as they noted the significant increase in the scarlet dragon’s size.

When Cain participated in the Moon Cult’s gathering, he was only 30,000 meters tall.

Now, he was just a couple thousand meters shy of reaching forty thousand meters, a clear sign that he was approaching the middle stages of the Ancient Rank-an achievement that would normally take decades, even for the most talented dragons.

“Cain, you’ve come back,” a voice echoed across the surroundings just as Cain neared the center of the sect.

A massive obsidian dragon rose into the sky to meet him.

“Eldrick, it’s been a while,” Cain replied with a small smile.

The aura radiating from Eldrick was full of power and vitality, showing that the setback he had suffered at the Moon Cult was now behind him.

Within seconds, the two dragons stood face to face, and approval glinted in Eldrick’s eyes as he nodded.

“I’ve heard that those who follow the Aspect of Gluttony of our Dragon Empress can advance quickly, but you’ve taken it to another level.

No wonder the Grand Elders are so fond of you.” Eldrick’s expression grew more serious as he leaned closer to Cain and spoke in a lower tone, “By the way, the Sun Church has been looking for you.

It seems to be related to the South Coast.” Cain was slightly surprised by this, having made sure to cover his tracks.

But after a moment, he shrugged.

In a world like the Crimson World, there were countless powers, some with access to divination, so it made sense they could figure things out.

Still, he didn’t care.

Even if there was undeniable evidence of his involvement, he had the Grand Elders’ authorization, and neither the Sun Church nor the Moon Cult could do anything about it.

“Thanks for the information.” Just as Cain thanked Eldrick, a voice emerged from inside the main castle of the sect.

“Elder Cain, you are summoned.” The voice belonged to none other than Grand Elder Kryos.

Cain wasn’t surprised by the summons, so he nodded to Eldrick before flashing toward the castle, heading for the cave of the Grand Elders.

After less than a minute of waiting, Grand Elder Kryos’s voice echoed again, this time only for him.

“Come.” Cain entered the cave and was immediately greeted by Grand Elder Kryos and the other four Grand Elders.

“I humbly greet the Grand Elders,” Cain said, bowing before the leaders of the Tiamat Sect.

Grand Elder Kryos nodded, motioning for Cain to rise.

His voice was solemn as he spoke, “How did your mission on the South Coast go?” The Tiamat Sect had already heard of the chaos on the South Coast, but they were puzzled.

It seemed as if the entire upper echelon of the alliance had vanished.

While Cain was talented, he was still a young Ancient Dragon and had only spent a little over six months on the South Coast-a short amount of time for such a monumental task.

“I eliminated the entire upper echelon of the South Coast, including Cesar Azul.

Some Dark Seed Legends remain, but they hold little power or influence.” Cain didn’t mince words, immediately declaring his actions before waving his hand to reveal dozens of space rings.

Although the spiritual marks of the original owners had been erased, the Grand Elders’ powerful souls could still perceive the remnants.

The rings clearly belonged to Stellar Abyss Legends and Peak Dark Seed Legends, confirming Cain’s success in wiping out the South Coast Alliance.

“Hahaha!

Excellent, truly excellent!” Grand Elder Kryos couldn’t contain his laughter, his voice booming across the cavern.

The other Grand Elders smiled widely, clearly pleased with Cain’s accomplishments.

Cain remained composed, his expression steady as he awaited further instructions.

Grand Elder Kryos’s laughter subsided, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.

“You have surpassed our expectations, Cain.

Not only did you eliminate a potential threat, but you executed the mission with exceptional skill and strategy, accomplishing this without leaving any concrete evidence and in a mind-blowingly short amount of time.” Cain performed another respectful bow to the Grand Elder, acknowledging the compliment.

“The South Coast Alliance had formidable warriors, but none posed a threat I couldn’t handle.” Pausing briefly, Cain added, “However, it’s possible the Sun Church has noticed my actions and is searching for me.” Grand Elder Kryos nodded.

“We anticipated as much.

The Sun Church and Moon Cult have eyes everywhere, but you need not worry.
