The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1198
Chapter 1198: Devil’s Hand Chapter 1198: Devil’s Hand Cain and the Ancient Dragons flew for around half an hour before they finally recognized their location.
Their eyes widened upon realizing that the wasteland they had just left behind was once known as the Great Garden, a place brimming with life and massive trees that stretched toward the heavens.
The transformation was shocking.
The rich, verdant landscape had turned barren, clearly ravaged by the monstrous creatures they had just faced.
However, not everything was bad news.
“We’re close to the Devil’s Hand!” Eldrick’s eyes glowed with excitement as he spoke.
Immediately, all the dragons grew eager.
The Devil’s Hand was a gargantuan mountain range northwest of the Great Garden, known for its vast network of interconnected caves brimming with elemental gems.
Elemental forces were a crucial aspect of the Tiamat Dragon Path.
The gems within the Devil’s Hand held immense value as they could help them improve that side of their battle power. Cain was also drawn to the idea of harvesting the elemental minerals, and he nodded in agreement with Eldrick.
“Let’s head to the Devil’s Hand.” The thirty Ancient Dragons soared across the sky, their immense figures creating massive gusts that swept the earth below.
As they flew, their eyes remained sharp and vigilant.
Though the monstrous creatures they had faced were gone, the dragons were cautious, unsure of what other enemies could emerge.
Luckily, they encountered no resistance during their half-day flight and finally reached their destination.
The Devil’s Hand lived up to its name.
The mountain range resembled an enormous demonic hand, with jagged peaks rising like clawed fingers toward the sky.
The cliffs were sheer and treacherous, and the caves scattered across the range resembled gaping mouths-inviting yet dangerous.
Each claw of the mountainous “hand” was millions of meters tall, casting long shadows over the land.
The Ancient Dragons were eager, anticipation thick in the air as they prepared to dive into the caves and harvest the precious minerals within.
But before they could make a move, Cain raised his claw and glanced at Eldrick.
“According to my knowledge of the Primeval World, the Devil’s Hand’s caverns are inhabited by Stone Golems,” Cain said, his voice carrying a note of caution.
Eldrick shook his head with a confident smile.
“The Stone Golems are indeed powerful, but they’re peaceful creatures.
As long as we don’t meddle with them, they won’t attack us.
We can take the gems without conflict.” The rest of the Ancient Dragons nodded, their confidence unwavering.
The Devil’s Hand was known to offer great rewards with minimal risk.
However, Cain did not share their calm demeanor.
His eyes sharpened, and he spoke in a solemn tone.
“Wait here.
I’ll return shortly.” Without further explanation, Cain’s entire body was enveloped in shadows, and he dashed into one of the caves like a streak of darkness.

His mastery over shadow techniques impressed even those dragons who had awakened their Dragon Sinful Heart using the powers of the Nightveil Head.
They watched in amazement as Cain disappeared into the cave’s depths.
Despite their awe, the Ancient Dragons were puzzled by Cain’s actions.
It wasn’t long, however, before they understood his caution.
“¡BOOOOOOM!” A thunderous explosion echoed through the mountains as part of one of the cliffs shattered, sending debris flying.
All eyes turned toward the source of the noise, and what they saw made them tense.
Cain’s massive body was locked in combat with a creature even larger than himself.
They crashed to the ground with overwhelming force, the impact sending shockwaves that destroyed everything around them.
The Ancient Dragons immediately realized the enemy was a Stone Golem, but this one was unlike any they had ever encountered in previous expeditions.
It towered above Cain, with glowing skin that pulsed with elemental energy.
Its appearance was twisted as if something dark had corrupted its form.
Most disturbingly, madness burned in the Stone Golem’s eyes-a thirst for destruction that reminded the dragons of the monstrosities they had just fought in the Great Garden.
Eldrick and the other Ancient Dragons watched the clash from the sky, their expressions solemn, but none moved to intervene.
Dragons were a proud race, and interfering in a battle without request would be considered an insult.
Despite the size of his opponent, Cain had not signaled for aid, and they respected that.
The fight raged across the mountain’s base.
Cain moved with the might and agility of a predator, his massive claws ripping through the ground as he met the Stone Golem’s brute strength head-on.
The earth beneath them cracked and shattered with each blow.
The mutated Stone Golem swung a colossal fist, but Cain sidestepped the attack, his tail lashing out to knock the creature off balance.
In response, the Stone Golem roared, its hand plunging into the earth to hurl massive chunks of rock at Cain, but the scarlet dragon moved with precision, dodging each strike while simultaneously closing the distance.
They clashed again, the force of their impact sending shockwaves through the surrounding mountains.
Cain bared his fangs, using his superior agility to weave around the Golem’s powerful yet sluggish movements.
Finally, Cain saw his opening.
He coiled his body and struck with full force, slamming the Stone Golem into the ground.
With the creature pinned beneath him, Cain opened his maw, summoning his most potent attack.
A blast of Yin-Yang Dragon Breath surged from Cain’s mouth, the scorching black-and-white flames swirling together as they consumed the Stone Golem’s head.
The creature let out a final, guttural roar before the flames obliterated it completely, reducing its head to ash.
As the Golem’s massive body collapsed, lifeless, Cain straightened, his chest heaving from the exertion.
He glanced toward the sky, where the Ancient Dragons watched in silence, their expressions a mixture of awe and respect.
Cain had once more proven not only his strength but also his wisdom.
The mutated Stone Golem had been a threat none of them anticipated, and had they rushed in recklessly, many could have been injured-or worse.
The truth was that Cain had suspected that if Depravita Essence had affected the creatures in the Great Garden, those of the mountain range might have suffered a similar fate-and he was right.
Now that the battle was over, the Ancient Dragons calmly flew toward Cain, their eyes sharp as they gazed at the mutated Stone Golem.
They wore solemn expressions, feeling the immense power coursing through the creature’s body even after death.
