The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1199
Chapter 1199: Gem Hearts Chapter 1199: Gem Hearts Cain took a few seconds to regulate his breathing as he gazed at the Ancient Dragons gathered before him.
A hint of a smile played on his lips as he addressed them. “There’s bad news and worse news.
Which one do you want to hear first?” Eldrick and the other Ancient Dragons couldn’t help but chuckle at the scarlet dragon’s jest, the lighthearted comment easing the tension.
Even though they were warriors capable of facing death head-on, it didn’t mean they were immune to nervousness or anxiety, especially when dealing with unknown dangers. Once they had regained their focus and calm, Cain’s smile faded, and he continued in a more serious tone.
“The same force that affected the monsters in the Great Garden has also made its way to the Devil Hand.
It has mutated the Stone Golems.
As you can see, they’re now bloodthirsty and maniacal, attacking anything in their path.” Eldrick and the Ancient Dragons grew solemn, their instincts sharpening.
The Primeval World was already an extremely dangerous place, filled with all sorts of creatures and perilous phenomena, but now there was a new power at play-one that was twisting the very life forms within it.
This threat added an unexpected layer of danger to their already treacherous expedition.
Cain gave them a moment to digest the information before delivering the next piece of information.
“And the worse news-there are no elemental gems inside the mountain range.
It seems the Stone Golems have consumed them.” Immediately, frustration and anger flickered across the faces of the Ancient Dragons.
The elemental gems were invaluable cultivation treasures for members of the Tiamat Sect, and hearing they had been devoured was a significant loss.
“Don’t be disheartened just yet,” Cain quickly added.
“I believe I’ve discovered something in the creatures.” He extended his claw, which turned dark as the power of Reaper Touch enveloped it.
The eerie lethality of the dark energy made the Ancient Dragons step back instinctively, a ripple of unease passing through them.
Eldrick and the others wondered how Cain had awakened so many formidable abilities.
Still, those thoughts were set aside as they watched him carefully open the chest of the fallen Stone Golem.
Inside, nestled within the rubble of stone, was a massive gem the size of a dragon’s fist pulsating with intense energy.
Immediately, all the Ancient Dragons focused on the gem, their soul forces extending toward it to examine its nature.
Awe appeared on their faces as they realized its energy signature resembled that of elemental gems, but it was far more potent and powerful.
Their enhanced energy wave could mean they were potentially even more helpful for cultivation than the original elemental gems.
“If my hypothesis is correct,” Cain continued, “the Stone Golems consumed the elemental gems and generated these organs.
These Gem Hearts could be far more valuable, but to obtain them, we’ll have to fight.” Cain’s voice was sharp, emphasizing that the Devil Hand would no longer be the relatively easy hunting ground it had been for previous expeditions.
Yet, the Ancient Dragons showed no hesitation.
Killing intent and determination gleamed in their eyes.
They had faced countless life-and-death battles to reach this place, and if the Stone Golems stood in their way, they would destroy them all.
Seeing the resolve in their eyes, Cain nodded and analyzed their strengths with his Eye of Gluttony before continuing.
“The strength of these mutated Stone Golems is no joke.
Those of you with battle power at the Peak of the Stellar Abyss Legendary Rank can handle them on your own.

The rest of you will need to form teams of at least three.
We cannot afford casualties or serious injuries so early in the expedition.” The Ancient Dragons nodded in agreement.
They had witnessed Cain’s battle with one of these mutated Stone Golems, and it was clear they were formidable opponents.
Those like Eldrick and Zalgrim, who possessed the necessary battle strength, prepared to fight solo, while the others quickly formed teams based on their affinities and combat styles.
The dragons knew each other well and didn’t take long to organize themselves.
“Great.
While we’ll split up, we won’t stray too far from each other,” Cain’s voice was sharp and carried the might of authority.
“We’ll move through one mountain at a time.
These mountains are vast, so everyone will have their own space to hunt, but we’ll remain close enough to assist if needed.” Once again, the Ancient Dragons nodded, the plan making perfect sense.
“Before we move, I’d like to mention that I have a use for the corpses of the Stone Golems,” Cain added.
Immediately, he noticed some of the dragons showing conflicted expressions.
He knew that the Golem corpses could be valuable to them, too, so he quickly clarified his offer.
“Of course, I don’t expect you to hand them over for free.
I’m willing to pay a Legendary Treasure’s worth in soul stones for each corpse, and if you bring me stronger golems than the one I just killed, I’ll offer even more.” Cain’s offer was generous, and it wasn’t hard for him to provide such wealth-he had acquired vast resources during the massacre of the South Coast Alliance.
Once they heard the last part, smiles appeared on the faces of the Ancient Dragons, and they immediately agreed to Cain’s terms.
Even though Cain had proven his strength and was technically their leader, they didn’t feel right just handing over the corpses for nothing.
However, with such a high price attached, the deal was too good to refuse.
“Excellent,” Cain said with a smile.
“Just save the corpses in your space rings, and we’ll trade when we reconvene.
Remember, don’t stray too far, and call for help if you find yourself in a tricky situation.” With everything in order, Cain signaled the dragons, and they all rose into the sky, their massive forms diving into the hundreds of caves that dotted the mountainside, each eager to claim their share of the bounty that awaited within.
