The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1207
Chapter 1207: Mutated Pteranodons Chapter 1207: Mutated Pteranodons With the Gem Hearts divided, Cain turned his attention to the remaining corpse of the Titan Stone Golem.
“I’d like to keep the body,” he stated.
“In exchange, I’ll provide you both with dozens of high-grade soul stones.” Eldrick and Zalgrim exchanged glances.
While the corpse held some value, it was only valuable to someone with the craft to exploit it, which neither specialized in.
After a short consideration, the obsidian dragon and lightning dragon nodded, happy to receive the soul stones.
“Agreed,” Eldrick said.
“Fine by me,” Zalgrim added.
With the negotiations concluded, the trio settled down to rest further.
Although they could stand and move, they were still far from being ready to fight again, especially not against powerful Peak Stellar Abyss Stone Golems.
Cain stored the massive body of the Titan Stone Golem in his space ring, intending to consume it later when he was alone.
He didn’t have a problem with others seeing the corpse, as it wouldn’t matter.
The other dragons wouldn’t gain access to the Depravita Essence just by consuming the remains of the Stone Golem due to their lack of spiritual assimilation abilities.
However, Cain wanted to consume something else before.
The scarlet dragon focused on the Void Eclipse Fire Gem Heart.
Holding it between his claws, he felt the immense power pulsating within.
Closing his eyes, he began to absorb its energy, letting it flood his body and invigorate every cell, nurturing his Dragon Sinful Heart.
Nearby, Eldrick and Zalgrim also focused on their training.
Eldrick sat with the Earth Gem Hearts and the Earth Spirit Fruit, channeling their energies to enhance his strength and recover from the battle.
Zalgrim did the same with the Lightning Gem Hearts he had in his space ring, sparks dancing across his scales as he absorbed the energies.
An entire day passed as the three Ancient Dragons immersed themselves in restoration and cultivation.
The cavern was silent except for the subtle hum of energy and the occasional flicker of elemental power.
Finally, they opened their eyes, their auras stronger and more stable.
They had returned to their peak condition.
Eldrick stretched his wings, a satisfied rumble echoing from his chest.
“I feel revitalized,” he said.
“Same here,” Zalgrim agreed, electricity crackling along his spine.
Cain stood, his scarlet eyes reflecting renewed vigor.
“It’s time we continue,” he said.
They nodded to each other, mutual respect evident in their gazes.
“Good luck,” Eldrick said.

“May our paths cross again,” Zalgrim added with a grin.
“Until then,” Cain replied.
With that, the three dragons spread their wings and took flight, heading back into the tunnels inside the central mountain.
— It took two months for the Ancient Dragons of the Tiamat Sect to scour every mountain of the Devil’s Hand range, exterminating all the mutated Stone Golems that plagued it.
When their task was complete, broad smiles adorned the dragons’ faces.
Each carried dozens of Gem Hearts that would greatly nurture their bodies and Dragon Sinful Hearts.
Additionally, they had amassed staggering wealth by selling the Stone Golem corpses to Cain.
Of course, Cain was even more pleased with the transactions.
He had consumed over a thousand of those Stone Golem corpses, and the Depravita Essence within them, along with that from the Titan Stone Golem, had immensely enhanced his True Name. The power of Scarlet Reaper had grown by 40% since he first set his sights on the Devil’s Hand.
And it wasn’t just his True Name that had improved-his body had grown another two thousand meters, reaching a mind-boggling 47,000 meters in length, and his black hole was nearing Level 25!
With everything ready and the resources of the Devil’s Hand either flowing through their veins or stored in their space rings, the thirty Ancient Dragons soared into the sky, flying farther east.
Their next destination was a massive forest known as the Immortal Forest, where, according to records from the Tiamat Sect, one could find something called Immortal Sap.
However, the journey from Devil’s Hand to the Immortal Forest was far from peaceful.
Barely halfway to their destination, more than a hundred creatures approached from the sky.
In the distance, some of the dragons recognized them as Pteranodons-ferocious creatures, but ones that would normally avoid dragons due to the massive difference in their strength.
Yet, as the creatures drew closer, it became clear these were no ordinary Pteranodons.
They were mutated monstrosities, corrupted by dark forces.
Their bodies had swollen to grotesque proportions, ranging from twenty to forty thousand meters in length.
Jagged bones jutted from their twisted, leathery wings, which spanned wide enough to blot out the sun.
Their skin was a mottled mix of dark reds and sickly grays, pulsating with eerie crimson veins.
Multiple rows of serrated teeth filled their elongated snouts, dripping with viscous, black saliva that sizzled upon contact with the air.
Their eyes burned with a feral bloodlust, glowing like embers in their sunken sockets.
Sharp spikes protruded along their spines and tails, and their talons were elongated into scythe-like claws.
As they flew, a cacophony of guttural screeches echoed across the sky.
Cain couldn’t help but sigh as his Eye of Gluttony detected traces of energy similar to the Stone Golems and the monstrosities of the Great Garden.
‘Has the Depravita Essence affected all life forms of the Primeval World?’ A deep frown appeared on the scarlet dragon’s face.
The realization troubled him.
The Primeval World was perhaps even larger than the Helix Continent, which was hundreds of thousands of times larger than Aether, so the amount of Depravita Essence needed to corrupt the entire world was staggering-far beyond what even a Peak Void Eclipse lifeform should be able to produce.
However, there was no time to dwell on such thoughts.
The mutated Pteranodons were closing in, their bloodlust and killing intent radiating from every fiber of their being.
Cain saw the horde marching toward him, and the other Ancient Dragons, and his eyes hardened with cold determination.
