The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1217
Chapter 1217: True Void Eclipse Guards (I) Chapter 1217: True Void Eclipse Guards (I) The dragons, angels, and saintesses advanced cautiously through the gargantuan hall, each and every one of them raising their guards, certain that the dangers inside the Demon King’s Castle would surpass anything they had experienced in the Primeval World.
Not even five minutes had passed when frowns began to appear on their faces.
As they delved deeper into the Demon King’s Castle, the presence of a strange energy became increasingly palpable to all.
It was dark and ominous, an oppressive force that seemed eager to seep into their bodies and minds.
Cain’s eyes immediately sharpened as he recognized the energy enveloping them-it was none other than Depravita Essence.
While not surprised by its presence-the castle was, after all, the epicenter from which this corrupting force spread across the entire world-the intensity and corrosive power it wielded here were genuinely shocking.
“If it were only me, there would be no problem,” Cain mused silently.
The nature of his birth in the Crimson World and his unique constitution rendered him immune to the harmful effects of the Depravita Essence, and he could even use it to strengthen his True Name.
But he was not alone.
Glancing back, Cain observed the solemn expressions on the faces of his fellow Ancient Dragons.
The energy was proving troublesome for them to handle.
Eldrick’s obsidian scales shimmered dimly, and Zalgrim’s usual sparks of lightning flickered erratically.
Concern etched itself onto Cain’s features as he worried about what would happen to the dragons if the density of the Depravita Essence inside them reached a critical level.
Before he could inquire about their state, a strange hum echoed from the direction of the Moon Cult’s group.
The saintesses began to chant an ethereal mantra, their voices weaving together in harmonious resonance.
Radiant moonforce vibrated around their figures, creating a luminous barrier that pushed away the Depravita Essence flooding the hall.
Cain’s eyes narrowed.
It was clear the Moon Cult had anticipated this challenge and prepared accordingly.
Their method of handling the Depravita Essence was effective and elegantly executed.
But the surprises did not end there.
The angels’ eyes began to glow with a radiant white light, their minds seemingly fortified against the corrupting essence.
A collective aura of resilience emanated from them, repelling the dark energy.
Cain wasn’t the only one taken aback.
The saintesses exchanged puzzled glances, equally astonished to see the angels possessing a method to counteract the Depravita Essence.
Meylin’s gaze sharpened as she focused on Helios.
Something told her that the Sun Church’s preparations had everything to do with the young man leading them.
In the end, both the saintesses of the Moon Cult and the angels from the Sun Church were able to take measures to resist the Depravita Essence.
The dragons of the Tiamat Sect, however, were not so fortunate, placing them in a precarious position since, if things continued like this, their journey into the Demon King’s Castle would soon come to an end.
Cain frowned, concern evident in his eyes.
The dragons couldn’t afford to be hindered by the corrupting energy.

As he pondered a solution, a meaningful light sparked in his scarlet eyes.
He recalled the Dragon Sinful Heart-the core of his Tiamat Dragon Path.
Through it, they could take control of the negative aspects of the Oniric Truth they wielded, essentially mastering their inner darkness.
Taking a deep breath, Cain focused inward, channeling the power of the Dragon Sinful Heart throughout his body.
A warmth spread from his chest, radiating through his limbs.
A wide smile spread across his face as he felt the Depravita Essence seeping into his flesh and blood suddenly freeze in place, unable to advance toward his mind or soul.
“Everybody, push the power of the Dragon Sinful Heart through your bodies,” Cain instructed, his voice firm yet encouraging.
Eldrick and the rest of the Ancient Dragons exchanged brief glances, a hint of confusion in their eyes.
Nevertheless, they trusted Cain’s wisdom, as the young man had proven himself many times already.
Nodding in unison, they closed their eyes and concentrated.
Moments later, the frowns on their faces vanished as the corrupting energy crawling across their bodies halted.
Broad smiles broke out among the dragons.
Not only had they found a method to handle the Depravita Essence, but their technique did not require them to expend any additional energy, making it more efficient than those of the saintesses and angels.
A subtle smile tugged at the corners of Meylin’s lips as she observed Cain aiding the Ancient Dragons.
However, the expression faded quickly, concealed before anyone could notice.
The other saintesses were surprised but maintained their composure, revealing nothing more, as it was clear they were not affected by the success of the Tiamat Sect.
Of course, not everyone was pleased by the dragons’ good fortune.
The angels displayed deep frowns, none more so than Helios.
The natural ability of the dragons to resist the corrupting force was a bitter pill for the young man to swallow.
His fists tightened, and a flicker of irritation crossed his otherwise composed features.
Cain caught sight of the loathing and subtle killing intent in Helios’s eyes.
It surprised him slightly, but he chose not to dwell on it.
Time was of the essence.
He nodded to the rest of the dragons, and together, they pushed deeper into the hall.
Unlike the others, Cain did not resist the advance of the Depravita Essence.
Instead, he welcomed it, allowing the energy to flow into his True Name, where it became sustenance, strengthening him further.
As they continued, the oppressive atmosphere of the hall seemed to deepen.
The shadows grew longer, and an eerie silence settled over the group, but there was no real danger.
Just as Cain began to grow comfortable with the surroundings, a distant sound echoed through the hall-the heavy, resonant thud of footsteps.
“THUMP!
THUMP!
THUMP!
THUMP!” The sound was staggering, each footfall reverberating like thunder.
It was as if colossal creatures were approaching, their weight causing the very ground to tremble.
