The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1225
Chapter 1225: Mirage Serpent Chapter 1225: Mirage Serpent The Ancient Dragons were still locked in fierce combat with their Replicas when a sudden disturbance rippled through the mirrored ceiling above them.
Their eyes widened as a massive creature emerged from the glassy surface, descending with terrifying speed toward Cain.
The scarlet dragon barely had time to react before the creature slammed into him with such force that a kinetic burst echoed through the entire labyrinth.
“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM!” It was a colossal serpent, nearly one hundred thousand meters long, its body composed entirely of crystal-like glass that shimmered with an ethereal light.
The serpent’s scales refracted the glow of the labyrinth, casting prismatic colors across the walls.
Its eyes were twin orbs of swirling mist, and as it moved, the air around it warped and distorted like heat waves rising from scorching sand.
An overwhelming aura radiated from the creature, a force so intense that it pressed down on the dragons like a physical weight.
Cain’s eyes narrowed, every bone in his body trembling from the force of the serpent’s attack.
The Mirage Serpent was diving with enough momentum to crush mountains.
If they crashed into the floor, the outcome would be dire.
Clenching his teeth, Cain mustered every ounce of strength and willpower.
His aura flared brilliantly, scarlet flames erupting around him.
With a swift twist of his massive body, he managed to change position, now facing the serpent head-on, forcing them to clash at the same time into the floor.
“BOOOOOOOMMMMMM!” The collision shook the entire labyrinth.
The floor beneath the scarlet dragon and crystal serpent cracked and shattered, sending fragments of mirror and stone flying like shrapnel. Despite his best efforts, the impact was devastating.
Cain bounced across the floor, his scales scraping against the jagged surface as pain shot through his body.
He felt his bones crack, and the metallic taste of blood filled his mouth.
The Mirage Serpent was also thrown back, its crystalline body splintering in places.
Cracks spread along its length, but its eyes remained locked on Cain, filled with cold fury.
The serpent coiled and uncoiled, preparing for another strike.
A united roar filled the air before it could launch its next attack.
Several Ancient Dragons, having momentarily pushed their Replicas aside, unleashed a torrent of Dragon Breaths.
Flames hotter than the surface of a weak sun, bolts of lightning that split the air, and torrents of ice that could freeze even souls-all converged on the Mirage Serpent in a dazzling display of elemental fury.
The serpent’s eyes flickered with a glint of concern.
Even a being as formidable as it would struggle to survive such an onslaught.
But just as the attack was about to land, its entire form shimmered, becoming ethereal.
It sank into the mirror-covered floor with a fluid motion, its body merging seamlessly with the reflective surface.
The combined attacks of the dragons struck the spot where it had been, resulting in a massive explosion that shook the very foundations of the labyrinth.
“Did we get it?” Zalgrim shouted, his lightning-infused eyes scanning the area.
Cain struggled to his feet, wincing as the sharp sting of his injuries flared.

“No,” he replied grimly.
“It escaped.” The dragons watched in disbelief as the Mirage Serpent moved within the mirrors, its body healing almost instantly.
Its form briefly shimmered within the reflective surfaces before disappearing entirely.
“Cain, are you all right?” a voice called out.
Turning, Cain saw Eldrick approaching, the obsidian dragon’s face etched with concern.
Eldrick’s eyes widened as he noticed the broken bones protruding through Cain’s scales, crimson blood staining his scarlet hide.
“I’ll be fine in a few minutes,” Cain assured him, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
Closing his eyes, Cain summoned the purest form of his power.
A burst of scarlet flames erupted from the depths of his black hole, the place where Scarlet Reaper’s energy was purest.
The flames enveloped his body, seeping into his wounds.
Bones realigned and knit together, torn muscles mended, and bruises faded away at a speed visible to the naked eye.
“Hahaha, worrying about you is truly useless,” Eldrick replied, shaking his head with a grin.
His expression then turned serious as he nodded to Cain and took to the skies, joining the other dragons as they finished off the remaining Replicas.
Cain watched the battle above, his mind racing beneath his calm exterior.
The Mirage Serpent had appeared without warning, and if it had targeted anyone else, they might not have survived.
“I must end it,” Cain thought, clenching his claws.
The creature was swift, able to meld into the mirrors and strike without warning.
Its attacks were devastating, but Cain had seen its vulnerability.
“Its defenses are weak.
One decisive, point-blank strike, and I can destroy it.” With his plan forming, Cain focused on how to lure the serpent into a trap, to force it into a vulnerable position where he could deliver the killing blow.
Ten intense minutes later, the Replicas were destroyed, dissolving into shimmering dust that was absorbed back into the mirrors.
Cain ascended, his body yet to be fully healed but strong enough to fight.
His scarlet flames still carried on the regeneration, mending his injuries slowly but steadily. The Ancient Dragons regrouped, each wearing a solemn expression.
They hovered in the center of the path, eyes scanning their surroundings, wary of the mirrors that could birth their enemy at any moment.
Minutes ticked by as they flew cautiously forward.
The silence was oppressive, broken only by the distant echoes of their wingbeats.
Suddenly, the mirrors around them rippled, and a new wave of Replicas emerged.
These ones attacked with ferocity beyond anything they had faced before, their movements aggressive and coordinated.
“They’re trying to push us toward the mirrors!” Eldrick shouted, deflecting a blow from his Replica.
Cain’s eyes narrowed.
“The Mirage Serpent is controlling them.” The dragons fought back fiercely, but the relentless assault began to take its toll.
Cain swiftly dispatched his own Replica, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw one of the younger dragons struggling.
Exhausted, the dragon’s movements were sluggish, and his Replica seized the opportunity, striking hard and sending him spiraling toward the mirror-covered floor.
