The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1229
Chapter 1229: To the third level Chapter 1229: To the third level Unlike the toxic and somewhat pitiful behavior of the Sun Church, the saintesses of the Moon Cult moved with flawless teamwork.
Meylin led them through the labyrinthine corridors of the Demon King’s Castle, her silver and golden eyes occasionally glowing with violet moonforce.
At times, it seemed as though the Sacred Saintess of the Three Moons was peering into the flow of time itself, always choosing the best path forward.
For nearly three days, they had flown tirelessly, engaging in battles against relentless waves of Replicas.
Each encounter was met with coordinated precision, and their unity was a testament to their rigorous training and teamwork.
Yet now, they stood before what appeared to be a dead end-a massive mirror wall reflecting their weary faces back at them, with no path forward.
The saintesses exchanged puzzled glances.
This was uncharted territory.
Meylin had always found the right path, yet now they were confronted with an impasse.
“My Lady, should we return?” Amara, one of the strongest among them, asked softly.
Her silver hair framed a face etched with concern, but there was no reproach in her voice.
She understood the immense difficulty in handling the power of the Moon of Tomorrow, where even the best could make mistakes.
Meylin turned to her, a small, knowing smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
“Why return when we have the path to the next level right in front of us?” Before anyone could question her, Meylin raised her slender sword.
With a graceful arc, she sent a stream of sharp moonforce slicing through the air.
The energy struck the mirror wall, shattering it into a cascade of glittering fragments.
As the debris settled, a massive chasm was revealed on the other side-a hidden passage leading out of the labyrinth.
Gasps of awe escaped the saintesses.
Their eyes widened, reflecting the newfound light from the chasm.
They turned to Meylin, admiration, and gratitude evident on their faces.
“Incredible, my Lady!” one whispered.
“You saw through the illusion,” another marveled.
None of them had detected the concealed path.
Meylin had identified the one that masked their way forward among the millions of mirrors they had passed.
Amara’s face lit up with excitement.
“Amazing, my Lady!
We should inform the dragons and angels that we’ve found the exit.” Meylin’s smile faded, replaced by a deep frown.
“The Sun Church’s angels will not be a great improvement to our strength, and Helios is clearly hiding something.
I sense that their presence will only bring trouble.” A hush fell over the group.
The saintesses exchanged uneasy glances.

They had followed Meylin’s guidance without question, but her suggestion to leave the angels behind was unprecedented.
Amara studied Meylin’s face, searching for any hint of uncertainty.
After a moment, she sighed.
“My Lady, we cannot leave the angels behind.
Lady Alume made it clear that we must help all sides to push forward and enforce the truce.
If we do not inform Helios and the angels of the exit, it would be going against Lady Alume’s command.” Meylin’s frown deepened, her gaze dropping to the ground.
She knew Amara was right.
If it were solely her decision, she would have left the angels to their fate-a means to alter a certain prophecy.
But defying Lady Alume’s direct orders was not an option.
“I know,” she conceded with a weary sigh.
She retrieved two communication gems from a pouch at her side-one infused with Cain’s blood, the other with Helios’ flames.
Holding them gently, she whispered, “We have found the exit.” The gems pulsed with light as the responses came swiftly.
“Great, we’re on our way,” Cain’s voice resonated, calm and steady.
“We will be there soon!” Helios replied, his tone brisk and authoritative.
With the messages sent, the saintesses settled in to wait.
They remained vigilant, eyes scanning their surroundings for any sign of danger.
The air was thick with anticipation, but thankfully, no more Replicas emerged to challenge them.
After some time, the distant sound of wings echoed through the corridors.
The Ancient Dragons and the angels arrived almost simultaneously.
The saintesses rose to greet them, but their words caught in their throats as they beheld the imposing figures before them.
The Ancient Dragons had always been a sight to behold-majestic and fearsome.
But it was Cain who drew their gazes most intensely.
The scarlet dragon had grown significantly since they last saw him.
His scales shimmered with a newfound brilliance, and a dark red flame flickered in his eyes.
His aura was palpable, radiating power that seemed to push against the very walls of the castle.
“Is that really him?” one saintess whispered.
“His power…
it’s overwhelming,” another murmured.
All the saintesses were somewhat awed by Cain’s transformation.
Despite still possessing a Level 25 black hole, his aura was now approaching the extreme of the Stellar Abyss Legend Rank, just one step away from the might of a Void Eclipse being.
On the opposite side, the angels took note as well.
Helios’ eyes narrowed a chill emanating from his gaze.
Seeing Cain’s significant improvement ignited a fierce and burning killing intent within him.
His hands clenched at his sides, the air around him crackling with suppressed energy.
Cain sensed the surprise of the saintesses and Helios’s cold hostility, but his expression remained impassive.
The Power of Order coursed through him, keeping his emotions in check and his mind clear.
He acknowledged the the Moon Cult with a simple nod.
Meylin observed Cain closely.
His lack of reaction, the emptiness in his eyes-it was unsettling.
She wanted to understand his change, but with Helios and the angels present, she held her tongue.
Instead, she turned toward the newly revealed passage.
“We should move forward,” she announced, her voice echoing softly.
“There’s no telling what awaits us on the next level, so we must all be ready to fight at any moment.” The groups began to advance, but the tension was palpable.
The saintesses, dragons, and angels moved cautiously, the uneasy truce between them fragile.
As they descended deeper into the castle, a growing sense of pressure enveloped them.
It wasn’t long before the corrupting aura intensified, and the air became thicker with Depravita Essence.
The essence clung to their skin, making breathing difficult and movements sluggish.
