Chapter 1254: Frozen Abyss (I) Chapter 1254: Frozen Abyss (I) The Blood Dragon’s eyes turned toward the one who had thwarted its plans, and pure rage and hatred appeared on its face as it dived toward Cain, pushing massive waves aside with its colossal body.

Cain showed only coldness as he witnessed the hatred blazing in the Blood Dragon’s eyes.

His physical power exploded as he propelled himself toward the beast.

“BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!” A massive explosion erupted as the two titans collided, generating a void in the ocean of blood.

Their figures twisted and struggled, ascending rapidly toward the ceiling of the cavernous realm.

The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the bloody sea below.

The clash intensified.

Cain moved with unparalleled speed and strength, landing decisive blows that tore into the Blood Dragon’s flesh.

His fists pummeled the dragon’s massive form, scales shattering under the force of his strikes.

Blood sprayed into the air as he delivered a bone-crushing kick to the dragon’s side, causing it to roar in agony.

The Blood Dragon retaliated with a swipe of its colossal claw, but Cain deftly dodged, countering with a powerful uppercut that snapped one of the dragon’s horns clean off.

The horn spiraled away, disappearing into the bloody abyss below.

Enraged, the dragon unleashed wild attacks, but Cain easily dodged them.  Seizing the moment, Cain lunged forward, his eyes locked onto the Blood Dragon’s.

With a swift motion, he drove his hand into the dragon’s eye socket, causing it to explode in a shower of crimson.  The battle grew more brutal.

Cain tore into the dragon’s wings, rendering them useless and sending the creature plummeting toward the ocean of blood.

But he did not relent.

He appeared above the falling dragon, gripping its remaining horn and wrenching it free with a mighty pull.

The dragon’s screams echoed through the realm as Cain hurled the horn aside.

After a series of bloody strikes, Cain decided to end things.

He ascended high above and gathered his energy.

The air around him crackled as he focused his strength on a single point.

With a fierce roar, he dived toward the Blood Dragon, his speed surpassing that of a meteor.

The impact was cataclysmic.

Cain’s fist pierced through the dragon’s skull, shattering bone and blasting its brain.

A blinding light erupted from the point of contact as the dragon’s colossal body convulsed before finally falling limp.

It was a bloody sight.

Cain hovered proudly in the air while the Blood Dragon shattered into pieces, its form melting back into the ocean of blood from which it had emerged.

The violent waves settled, and a profound silence enveloped the realm.

After securing victory, Cain allowed himself a moment of respite.

His body trembled slightly as he reverted to his massive seventy-five-thousand-meter-tall dragon form.

While his Dragon Hybrid Form was definitely his strongest state, it required an immense amount of energy and blood control-something Cain could not maintain at all times.

He did not feel disheartened by this limitation; as long as he could wield that power in battle, it was enough.

With a broad smile, Cain marched forward, closing in on the end of the Sanguine Area.

The blood-red horizon gave way to a towering black gate that stood imposingly amid the ocean of blood.

The gate exuded an intense aura.

It was adorned with intricate, archaic symbols that pulsed with dark energy.

Cain gazed at the gate, his eyes tracing the enigmatic symbols etched into its surface.

A sharp light appeared in his eyes as he immediately understood its power-it resonated with the black crystal inside his Dragon Sinful Heart.

“The Oniric Truth of Hatred,” he whispered.

A small smile appeared on Cain’s face as he grasped the core power of the sixth level of the Demon King’s Castle.

While his True Name had no connection to Hatred, he had developed a high instinctive comprehension of the Oniric Truth of Wrath.

Just as the black crystal had helped him increase his understanding of Wrath, he could use that insight to gain some knowledge of Hatred.

Even if it wasn’t much, it would help him take the first step, making the path forward much easier.

Just like with the Blood Gate, Cain placed his claw upon the black gate.

The cold surface pulsed under his touch, and the next second, he heard the voice of the Demon King.

“Congratulations on finishing the Sanguine Area.

Wait until the deadline is completed for the gate to the Frozen Abyss to open.

The ranking will also be displayed at that time, and the reward will be granted.” After hearing the familiar message, Cain adopted a meditative position in front of the black gate, shutting out the rest of the world.

He focused his mind solely on the principles and power engraved in the gate.

The symbols seemed to whisper ancient secrets, and he delved deep into their meaning.

Days became weeks, and weeks became months as he remained in silent contemplation.

The 120 days allotted for the Sanguine Area passed, and those who had yet to reach the end of the fifth level were teleported outside the Demon King’s Castle.

The voice of the Demon King echoed across each of the parallel dimensions.

“Congratulations on finishing the Trial of Blood, the Sanguine Area!

Now it is time for the ranking!” Flaming letters materialized above the black gate, just like last time.

However, while during the Molten Crucible there had been nineteen names, now there were only eight.

This was the second of the Blood and Hunger Trials, and the number of challengers left was not even a tenth of those who had entered the Demon King’s Castle, highlighting the immense difficulty of the trials.

Of course, aside from the number of names, what the dragons, angels, and saints focused on was the name at the top of the list.

How can that insignificant lizard be number one again, and I am just number three!?” Helios shouted in absolute rage as he saw Cain’s name at the top of the ranking from the Sanguine Area.
