There was still a lot of time before the deadline, and Cain forgot about everything else as he focused solely on the gate.

Shortly after starting his meditation, Cain felt the words Vorax and Imperator flood his soul and mind with insight and deep understanding, aiding his comprehension.

They were not alone; his Dragon Sinful Heart also helped him, pushing his intuitive understanding of the Oniric Truth of Gluttony to its purest form, flooding his mind.

The combination of these elements allowed Cain’s speed of comprehension to reach an overwhelming level, and he felt his understanding grow by the minute.

True mastery of Gluttony requires not just the ability to devour but the wisdom to control hunger, using it as a tool for growth rather than a curse of self-destruction.

After his ascension, Cain gazed at the white gate for a moment before simply lying on the ground and closing his eyes.

There were only a few days left before the deadline, and he wouldn’t gain much by pushing himself further, so it was better to allow his mind and soul a true rest.

Four days later, Cain opened his eyes, relaxation washing over him.

A wide smile appeared on his face just as the voice of the Demon King echoed across the multiple parallel dimensions.

“Congratulations on finishing the Trial of Hatred, the Frozen Abyss!

Now it is time for the ranking!” Cain gazed at the flaming words that appeared and was startled for a second as he saw that only five names were present.

Of all the people who entered the Blood and Hunger Trial, only five remained.

He read the names in order, and at the top was himself, followed by Meylin, Helios, Eldrick, and Amara.

Everybody else had failed.

There was nothing Cain could do about it, and he only hoped that the dragons who didn’t manage to carry on were wise enough not to overestimate their abilities and had avoided falling during the trials.

The fiery characters shimmered and danced in the air, their crimson hues deepening to a velvety maroon.

Gradually, the mass took on a definitive shape-a colossal brain suspended in the air, forged from the very essence of shadows and flickering embers.
