The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1296
Chapter 1296: I found you Chapter 1296: I found you A stream of horror surged from the Sun Lord’s soul force when he heard those chilling words.
Realizing the imminent danger, he immediately attempted to ignite his self-destruction with even more power.
However, before he could complete his final act, an overwhelming soul force flooded the armor that encased him, freezing his energy and locking him in place.
The destructive aura he had been gathering dissipated, and he found himself immobilized, unable to do anything.
Cain could not help but smile as he witnessed the turn of events.
The shadowy binds that had restricted the Demon King had finally broken, and now the powerhouse’s soul force was free, able to use his power without restraints. The Demon King’s left eye focused intently on the Sun Lord, pure rage and disdain overwhelming it.
He was an entity that had lived for millions of years and fought at the highest echelons of one of the greatest wars the Crimson World had ever seen, yet an insignificant ant dared to try and absorb his power.
The audacity was unforgivable.
Although the Sun Lord did not have a discernible face within his armor, his terror was evident.
His flames flickered erratically, and his once-brilliant light dimmed.
“Hmph!” The Demon King sneered.
He observed the Sun Lord’s terror with contempt and satisfaction.
His left eye glowed as he encapsulated the man into a dark orb.
Shadows swirled around the Sun Lord, forming a sphere that compressed and contained his fiery form. Although the Demon King wanted to punish the Sun Lord for his insolence, there was something that drew his attention even more than vengeance.
His singular left eye shifted focus to the dark obsidian draconic figure standing nearby.
Cain could feel the weight of the Demon King’s glance, but things were different this time.
As he looked into the man’s eye, he felt a sense of familiarity, a bond he could not quite describe, as if they shared an ancestral connection.
It made sense after all-the Forefather of the Prima Depravitas and the Patriarch of the Neo-Demons were once a single entity, so one could call the two races cousins. A deep, resonant laugh echoed from the Demon King.
“Hahaha, brat, you are really full of mysteries,” he said with a joyful tone.
“I was so embroiled in your identity as a Child of Adam that I totally missed the Neo-Demon Core inside you.
Well, to be fair, it was still inactive.” Cain just smiled, a subtle curve of his lips.
The truth was, he was also surprised by the sudden turn of events.
He had never imagined that the Abyssal Core he had struggled so much to attain would be the key to his transformation into what even absolute powerhouses considered one of the Supreme Races.
The realization that he had become a Neo-Demon filled him with a mix of pride and curiosity.
However, before Cain could get too lost in his thoughts, he noticed the Demon King’s left eye growing solemn, the light within it shifting from amusement to seriousness.
“Unfortunately,” the Demon King began, his voice steady, “your transformation into a Neo-Demon leaves us with a problem since you cannot really be a Neo-Demon and a Prima Depravita.” Cain’s eyes widened as he heard that, and a solemn expression appeared on his face.
He glanced at the Demon King in silence, trying to understand the implications of what was happening.
He hadn’t considered the idea that he had to choose between the two paths.
Sensing Cain’s confusion, the Demon King continued without delay.
“Thanks to the heritage I obtained long ago, I know that the Neo-Demon Path focuses on explosive fleshy power and physical transformations,” he explained.

“Unfortunately, that clashes with the Prima Depravita Path, as we change the essence of our flesh and blood into psychic energy and negative emotions, which we then take control of through great effort and training.” A flash of understanding crossed Cain’s eyes as he grasped the predicament in which he found himself.
Even though the Demon King wanted to make him his heir, and the previous apprehension he felt had vanished; there was no way Cain would forgo his Neo-Demon heritage now-especially after realizing just how monstrously powerful it made him. However, that also carried another problem.
To be released from his confinement, the Demon King needed to find his heir, or else he would remain stuck on that throne for eternity.
The weight of this realization settled heavily on Cain.
The Demon King noticed the look in Cain’s eyes and knew the young man was not ready to give up such a heaven-sent gift.
But there was no anger in his heart, only a hint of resignation.
“Although I would really like to make you my heir, I understand your decision,” he said sincerely.
“After all, to be honest, if I was offered the chance to become a Neo-Demon in exchange for my Depravita power, I don’t know if I would refuse.” He made a small pause, his gaze shifting thoughtfully.
“Luckily, there is someone else in the hall who is more than qualified to become my heir.” Meylin’s eyes were full of confusion as she was still trying to wrap her head around all the events that had just happened.
The clash between Cain and the Sun Lord, the revelation of Cain’s Neo-Demon transformation, and now the Demon King’s interaction-it was overwhelming.
She felt the gaze of the Demon King settle upon her, drawing her mind back to reality.
In the next moment, she saw an imposing, draconic figure standing before her.
The Sacred Saintess of the Three Moons opened her mouth, trying to figure out what to say, but words did not come.
Her mind raced, thoughts colliding as she attempted to comprehend what was unfolding.
The dragon showed a small smile, his fierce appearance softening slightly.
His scales shimmered briefly before his figure began to morph.
The obsidian armor receded, and his draconic features transformed into those of a handsome young man with white hair. “I found you.”
