Chapter 1310: Devouring angels (I) Chapter 1310: Devouring angels (I) “Apocalypse Blast!” That was the last thing Loyd heard before a superconcentrated beam of chaotic energy pierced through his chest, leaving a massive hole where his heart should be and incinerating the rest of his internal organs.

The searing pain was instantaneous, and the damage so immense that, despite his Void Eclipse soul force, he lost every ounce of strength in his body.

Barely able to turn his head, he glimpsed massive demonic draconic maws opening around his head.

Grand Elder Kryos was just as shocked as Loyd.

Time seemed to stand still for a moment as he watched Cain’s devastating attack obliterate the Archangel.

Then, the realization set in.

A wide smile appeared on Kryos’s face as he saw Cain devouring the entire body of the Archangel, marking the end of Loyd’s life.

“You can now rest, my love,” Kryos whispered.

As he uttered those words, a flash of sorrow and sadness crossed the ice Immortal Dragon’s eyes.

The overwhelming hatred and rage that had consumed his heart for years were finally released upon obtaining his revenge.  Cain gazed at the ice dragon, understanding the depth of emotion behind Kryos’s expression.

The ice Immortal Dragon had been good to Cain, supporting his path from the moment he joined the Tiamat Sect.

It was this bond that led Cain to target the Archangel.

Of course, Cain did not return solely to help the Grand Elder.

After chasing Archangel Michael for more than forty minutes, Cain was forced to give up the pursuit.

His Doomsday Incarnation would not last much longer, and without it, he could not remain effective in the superpower battlefield.

Bahamut and Lady Alune understood this, so they continued chasing after Michael alone while Cain silently returned to the main battlefield.

The appearance of the dark dragon and Loyd’s sudden death shocked everyone, especially the other Archangels.

Panic surged through their ranks as they realized one of their strongest had fallen.

Fear gripped their hearts, and they began to burn their energy reserves even more intensely as they fled, terrified of being the next to fall.

“Retreat!

Fall back now!” one of the Archangels shouted, his voice betraying his desperation.

The Immortal Dragons and Void Eclipse Saintesses did not hesitate.

They pressed the advantage, chasing after the fleeing Archangels and attacking with even greater ferocity.

They sought to capitalize on Loyd’s death, hoping to dismantle the Sun Church’s leadership entirely.

Grand Elder Kryos only glanced at Cain, giving a profound nod before flashing forward to join the pursuit.

There were no words exchanged, but the gratitude and respect in the eyes of the Immortal Dragon were unmistakable Exhausted from his battle with Michael and having expended most of his energy-especially after using Apocalypse Blast, his final card-Cain knew he could not contribute to the chase any further.

However, this did not mean he would simply stand idle.

His eyes turned toward another part of the battlefield where he could make a difference, even in his depleted state.

The Stellar Abyss battlefield near the Howling Abyss was a scene of overwhelming destruction.

Ancient Dragons led by Eldrick and Zalgrim, alongside saintesses led by Amara, were laying waste to the five-winged angels of the Sun Church.

Explosions of elemental energy lit up the sky, and the ground was scarred with deep craters and fissures.

The angels were formidable adversaries, each possessing a black hole in the Stellar Abyss Realm.

However, they could not compare to the dragons and saintesses who had survived the Primeval World and tempered their souls and bodies through the Blood and Hunger Trials.  Despite having the upper hand, the fight was far from easy.

High above, in the highest reaches of the sky, Meylin clashed with everything she had against the three Sun Church Golems.

These massive war weapons were full of cracks-one Humanoid Golem missing its right arm, another without its left leg-but despite the damage, they remained relentless, attacking the young woman with unwavering ferocity.

Meylin’s eyes were cold and focused.

She wielded her sword with precision, sending a literal tsunami of golden light that slammed into one of the Humanoid Sun Golems, sending it rolling away.

The force of the attack carved a path through the clouds, but she barely had time to regain her stance when the Lion Sun Golem leaped over the golden wave, lunging toward her with all its might.

The Prima Depravita clenched her teeth, preparing herself for the imminent impact.

Just as the massive claws were about to reach her, a familiar voice echoed across the sky.

“Lightning Fire Gluttonous Berserker Dragon Breath!” A searing and bright beam of plasma struck the Lion Sun Golem before it could reach Meylin.

The attack sent the creature flying away, a burning hole now visible in the middle of its metallic body.

Sparks and molten metal sprayed into the air as the Golem crashed into a distant mountainside.

A radiant smile appeared on Meylin’s face as she gazed at the dark dragon approaching from the distance.  Cain glanced at Meylin, his eyes reflecting the same warmth.

He responded with a radiant smile but did not stop his momentum.

Channeling all his remaining power, he continued charging toward one of the remaining Humanoid Sun Golems.

His body glowed with a mix of dark lightning and fiery energy.

With a thunderous roar, Cain crashed into the chest of the Humanoid Sun Golem.

“BOOOOOOOOMMM!” The impact echoed across the sky, a shockwave radiating outward.

The force of Cain’s collision was so immense that it drove the Golem into the ground, creating a massive crater upon impact.

The earth trembled and cracked, seismic waves rippling through the battlefield.

Despite the Humanoid Sun Golem being one hundred thousand meters tall and Cain only five meters in his human form, the massive war weapon was helpless against his assault.

Cain began to pummel it with relentless punches, each strike infused with his destructive energy.

The Golem’s metallic armor buckled and shattered under the onslaught, and Cain drove it deeper and deeper into the ground.
