The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1315
Chapter 1315: Into the Sun Castle Chapter 1315: Into the Sun Castle Cain nodded to the words of the Immortal Dragon, knowing he could trust this one. However, before diving into the Divine Shield, a meaningful light appeared in Cain’s eyes.
He paused, turning back to Bahamut with a serious expression.
“Also, please make sure to monitor the communications shared and any unusual activity.
We can never know what some people are planning.” As he finished those words, Cain glanced subtly at the Moon Cult leader before looking back at the massive dragon. Bahamut’s eyes narrowed as he heard those words, and he gave Cain a small nod.
He did not utter a word, but it was clear to the dark dragon that the Immortal Dragon had understood the message. Cain nodded once more before descending toward the ground.
With a swift motion, he propelled himself forward, his figure flashing like a comet.
In the next second, he faded into the massive radiant sun that covered the Blazing Wastes.
As soon as Cain left, Bahamut silently moved his colossal body next to Lady Alune.
His presence was imposing, but his movements were graceful.
He was not alone; Meylin positioned herself on the other side of Lady Alune.
The two stood like sentinels beside the Moon Cult leader.
The eyes of Lady Alune narrowed as she observed the moves from the Immortal Dragon and Meylin.
She sensed the subtle shift in their positions, understanding that two formidable figures now flanked her.
However, she did not say a word and remained silent, simply gazing at the Divine Shield.
Meanwhile, as soon as Cain entered the Blazing Wastes, his eyes grew sharp, and his entire body tensed.
He prepared himself to feel waves of scorching heat assaulting him, the kind that would incinerate any unauthorized intruder.
But none of that happened.
Immediately, a wide smile appeared on his face as everything went according to his plan.
The formation that covered the Blazing Wastes recognized him as an angel, which was why its power did not affect him.
His flawless disguise had succeeded.
“Excellent,” Cain whispered to himself.
He took a deep breath as his presence began to fade.
Concentrating, the young man transformed into streams of light that moved through the ground.
This was one of the Legendary Innate Abilities he had obtained from the angels he had consumed. Although his disguise was impeccable, it would be odd if an angel were to show up out of nowhere.
Cain planned to hide his presence and, if possible, avoid any form of detection until the Divine Shield was turned off.
The streams of light that were virtually invisible to everybody kept moving forward, passing through the massive terrain that was the Blazing Wastes.
It did not take long for Cain to move through the cities where the ordinary citizens of the Sun Church lived.
He expected to see fear and anxiety on their faces-after all, the disappearance of fifteen billion people could not have gone unnoticed.
However, he did not see anything of the sort.
If anything, people were full of thrill and smiles.

Markets bustled with activity; children laughed and played in the sun-drenched streets.
That confused the Neo-Demon, but things became clear as he overheard the chatter of the people.
“Do you believe I will be chosen next to join the Sun Lord?” a young child asked one of his friends, his eyes glowing with brightness and wonder.
“I will be the one chosen,” his friend boasted with a radiant smile.
“My fathers pray to the Sun Lord every hour of the day.” It was not hard for Cain to understand that the Sun Church had told its citizens that the consumption of their bodies and souls as fuel for the Divine Shield was, in fact, ascending to a higher realm and joining the Sun Lord.
They were led to believe that such a fate was an honor, a divine calling.
Disgust and loathing appeared in Cain’s eyes as he saw how the Sun Church played with these people’s hopes and dreams.
Innocent lives were being manipulated, their sacrifices glorified under false pretenses.
But soon, his eyes regained focus, thanks to the Power of Order.
He did not have the time to get distracted by anger or pity; he had a mission to accomplish.
Even while hidden, Cain managed to advance at a surprisingly fast speed.
The streams of light moved effortlessly through obstacles, allowing him to bypass checkpoints and barriers.
It only took him a few days before he saw the center of control of the Sun Church.
A flash of hunger appeared in Cain’s eyes as he saw a massive church built of metal and gems.
The structure was awe-inspiring, its spires reaching high into the heavens, adorned with intricate carvings, and encrusted with precious stones.
The energy the structure radiated was overwhelmingly high, enough to cover all his energy needs.
“Sun Castle,” he murmured, a solemn expression arising on his face.
From this point on, things would be dangerous.
Even with a flawless disguise, he would have a hard time deactivating the Divine Shield.
But there was no hesitation; he was set on achieving this goal.
Cain closed his eyes for a moment, going through the memories of Loyd, the Archangel he had consumed.
He focused on the location of the core formation and how to deactivate it.
Although he also had Helios’ memories, the Sun Lord’s memories were fragmented, with several pieces missing.
Not to mention that the man never paid much attention to the functioning of the church.
“Time to move,” Cain thought to himself.
Still in his form of lightwaves, Cain marched through the sun-like sphere covering the Sun Castle, soon reaching the massive structure that was larger than a city.
Carefully, he entered it through one of the hidden passages known only to the highest-ranking members of the Sun Church.
Inside, the grandeur of the Sun Castle was even more apparent.
Halls adorned with golden tapestries stretched endlessly, and the ceilings were painted with celestial scenes depicting the glory of the Sun Lord.
Statues of angels and deities lined the corridors, their eyes seemingly following him as he passed.
Cain’s light figure moved through the corridors of the Sun Castle, heading to the place where the core formation of the Divine Shield was located. As he turned around a corner, he appeared face to face with an angel who had just turned around the same corner.
For a split second, both were frozen in surprise.
