Chapter 1326: Scan me Chapter 1326: Scan me After the death of the last angel, the war of extermination against the Sun Church came to an end.

The final traces of the Sun Lord’s authority over the Helix Continent faded, but that did not mean things were truly over.

The aftermath of such a monumental conflict required careful attention.

The Sun Church’s wealth was massive, to say the least.

While much had been destroyed during the war, a significant portion remained intact.

The spoils of war needed to be divided swiftly to prevent any disputes or problems from arising later.

Lady Alune and Grand Elder Bahamut took charge of this monumental task.

Cain had little interest in such matters.

He was more than satisfied with what he had obtained from the angels he had killed.

The Legendary Innate Abilities and the sheer power the dark dragon had absorbed were rewards enough for him.  As the dragons and Saintesses moved across the Blazing Wastes, looting everything in sight, Cain found himself in the only place that remained untouched after the war-the Sun Ascension Pool Hall.

Cain stood in the vast chamber, the silence enveloping him like a shroud.

Next to him was a massive pool filled with radiant white fire-the very same pool he had used to push his black hole and Neo-Demon Path to the Void Eclipse Rank.

However, his interest in the pool was nonexistent at this moment.

His focus was turned inward, his thoughts deep and contemplative.

Closing his eyes, Cain took a deep breath and uttered words he had not spoken in years.

“Scan me,” he commanded softly.

A familiar beep echoed in his mind, followed by a stream of data coursing through his consciousness.

A sense of familiarity and nostalgia arose in his heart.

Cain had relied on the Absolute Life Form System from the beginning of his path, and it was one of the reasons he was able to rise so fast in Aether.

It had been an integral part of his growth and survival, providing analyses, strategies, and a constant assessment of his capabilities.

Losing access to it upon arriving in the Crimson World had been a significant setback.

But now, this analysis was thanks to nothing else but a Legendary Innate Ability he had obtained from one of the angels he consumed: the Super Computer Assistant.

There were all types of Legendary Innate Abilities across the Crimson World, so while it was surprising to encounter one that could mimic the abilities of his old A.I.

Chip, it wasn’t entirely shocking.

At first, the Super Computer Assistant had only displayed his physical stats.

It was rudimentary but useful.

However, after Cain managed to evolve it all the way to the peak of the Void Eclipse Rank, its capabilities expanded significantly.

Now, it could show him his soul force and calculate his understanding of the Oniric Truths.

The data was precise, detailed, and invaluable for someone like Cain, who constantly sought to refine his power.

And that wasn’t all.

The Super Computer Assistant could perform analyses, run virtual simulations, and, in essence, do everything that the A.I.

Chip Module from the Absolute Life Form System could.

This was excellent news for Cain, as he would need such capabilities for his next endeavors.

As thoughts of his future plans crossed Cain’s mind, he opened his eyes.

His soul force burst with power and focused on the Eye of Gluttony.

The fiendish eye embedded in his forehead glowed for a second before images began to materialize in front of him.

The first thing he saw was a hand choking a man.

In one swift move, the victim’s head was devoured, leaving a gruesome sight.

Blood splattered, and the lifeless body crumpled to the ground.

It was shocking, but Cain remained impassive.

Without hesitation, he addressed the person with whom he was sharing sight.

“Hello, Lord Zero,” Cain spoke, his voice echoing in the mind of the old man.

Immediately, the old man who had just consumed the head trembled.

A message filled with reverence and a hint of nervousness came back.

“Lord Laurifer!

It has been a long time since I had the honor of hearing your voice.” Cain allowed a small smile to grace his lips as he heard the words of the old man.

He couldn’t help but admire Lord Zero’s diplomatic nature and careful choice of words.

Even after performing such a gory act, he maintained excellent etiquette-a testament to his disciplined character.

“To what do I owe the pleasure, my Lord?” Lord Zero inquired, his tone respectful.

“I wanted to talk to you and see how the Mark of Abbadon has treated you,” Cain replied, his gaze distant as he recalled past events.

He hadn’t forgotten how the old leader of the Chamber of Commerce from the South Coast had faced several difficulties after the Mark of Abbadon he had placed began to act erratically.

Back then, Cain had managed to summon that ability by tapping into the power of his True Name.

However, he hadn’t fully understood the intricacies of the ability at the time.

Now, with his understanding of the Oniric Truth of Gluttony having advanced considerably, he was able to figure out the reason behind the man’s insatiable hunger.

It wasn’t a flaw in the Mark of Abbadon but a natural process.

The gluttonous power from the mark began to consume the weaknesses of the bearer, devouring all the frail tissues and feeble energy within.

To replenish those missing pieces, one needed to consume the same type of tissues that were lost-meaning the consumption of other intelligent life forms with access to a similar path of power.
