The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1336
Chapter 1336: Enhanced Mark of Abbadon (II) Chapter 1336: Enhanced Mark of Abbadon (II) Cain was also very tired, but a warm smile spread across his face as he saw the thrill in Meylin’s eyes.
The enhanced Mark of Abbadon not only allowed him to establish a link for the Eternal Ascension Network but also granted incredible gluttonous power, similar to those performed by his Eye of Gluttony.
While it might not enable them to assimilate Legendary Innate Abilities, according to the Super Computer Assistant’s calculations, it would allow Meylin and the others to steal the memories of those they devoured-a great asset in the incoming wars.
After all, knowledge was power.
He nodded to the young woman as he adopted a meditative stance.
His energy pool might be infinite inside the Sun Ascension Pool, but that did not mean he couldn’t grow tired; the branding process required a tremendous amount of focus and soul force.
Meylin didn’t say a word, allowing Cain to recover in silence as she moved to a corner of the hall and began to adapt to the power of the Mark of Abbadon.
After an hour, Cain opened his eyes, his mind feeling refreshed and renewed.
He stretched slightly, the fatigue from the branding process dissipating.
Reaching into his space ring, he sent out a mental message with a single word: “Come.” Immediately, the voices of Immortal Dragon Bahamut and Lady Alune echoed in his mind.
“On our way,” Bahamut’s deep, resonant voice replied.
“We will be there soon,” Lady Alune added, her tone serene yet purposeful.
Cain nodded to himself and simply waited, ensuring his energy and black hole were ready for the process ahead.
He knew that what they were about to undertake was crucial for the success of their future endeavors.
The forces of the Tiamat Sect and Moon Cult had been prepared for the call.
In less than ten minutes, six gargantuan dragons appeared in the sky above the old Sun Castle alongside three women. The saintesses from the Moon Cult descended gently, their robes flowing like liquid silver, eyes glowing with the moon’s mystic light.
The dragons and saintesses glanced at each other for a few seconds, acknowledging one another with respectful nods.
Then, the dragons began to shrink, adopting their humanoid forms.
The nine figures then marched into the Sun Ascension Pool Hall with purpose.
Cain’s eyes sharpened as he observed the newcomers, a flash of surprise flickering across his face as he recognized some of the individuals that Lady Alune and Grand Elder Bahamut had chosen to become part of the Eternal Ascension Network.
On the Moon Cult’s side, there was Lady Alune herself, radiating an aura of calm authority; Lady Kira, the second most powerful Sacred Saintess.
And finally, Amara, the young woman who had entered the Primeval World with Cain.
It made sense that Lady Alune had chosen Lady Kira for one of the slots.
The woman was not only powerful but also a faithful servant of the Moon Cult, her loyalty beyond question.
However, Amara’s presence was more surprising.
The young woman was definitely powerful, her Moon Path already reaching the Sacred Saintess Tier, but she was still Level 30 and had yet to become a full-fledged Void Eclipse powerhouse.
A meaningful light appeared in Cain’s eyes as he glanced between Amara and Meylin.
Although Meylin had always been very reserved, she had made connections within the Moon Cult, and Amara could be counted as one of the Prima Depravita’s friends.
Various thoughts crossed Cain’s mind, but he soon dispelled them, deciding not to dwell on the matter.
If Lady Alune wanted to include Amara, it was fine.

Besides, the woman was powerful and a great leader; she would do great things on the battlefield.
Turning his gaze toward the group from the Tiamat Sect, Cain assessed the chosen members.
Grand Elder Bahamut had selected Grand Elder Kryos, Grand Elder Melisara, Grand Elder Ingis, and also Eldrick and Zalgrim.
For a moment, Cain considered the possibility that Grand Elder Bahamut was trying to curry favor with him by placing Eldrick and Zalgrim as part of the Eternal Ascension Network so the duo could be considered his closest friends in the sect.
However, he immediately dismissed the idea.
First of all, thanks to their experiences in the Blood and Hunger Trials, the duo managed to push their Tiamat Path to the Immortal Dragon Rank.
And it seemed they had significantly benefited from the resources of the Sun Church since while they were still Level 30 like Amara, their black holes were already showing signs of a breakthrough.
It was just a matter of months before they rose to the Void Eclipse Rank.
It was very clear that Grand Elder Bahamut had only chosen the people best suited for the job.
Cain stepped forward, his expression serious.
“Grand Elder Bahamut, please step forward to the edge of the pool.
Lower your soul defenses and allow the Mark of Abbadon to be placed into your soul.” He didn’t waste any time.
Everyone knew why they were there, so he went straight to the point.
Bahamut nodded solemnly and did as he was told.
The Immortal Dragon, in his humanoid form, approached the edge of the Sun Ascension Pool.
He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as he lowered his soul defenses.
The leader of the Tiamat Sect had come to know Cain well and understood that the young man was someone who could butcher entire continents without mercy if needed but also someone who kept his word and repaid kindness.
There was no hesitation in his heart as he prepared to receive the Mark of Abbadon.
Cain took a deep breath, centering himself.
His index finger began to glow with a dark, ethereal light as he placed it gently on Bahamut’s forehead.
Immediately, streams of soul force, life force, and oceans of energy flowed from Cain into the Grand Elder. Bahamut felt a searing sensation as the Mark began to imprint onto his soul.
It was as if a brand was being etched into his very being.
Yet, he remained steadfast, his resolve unshaken.
