Chapter 1364: Lotario’s Alter-Ego Chapter 1364: Lotario’s Alter-Ego The one that appeared behind Cain’s back, managing to touch the back of his head, was none other than Lotario.

The gentle, honorable smile on Lotario’s face vanished instantly, replaced by one full of greed and malice.

As for the ‘Lotario’ that had been talking to Cain mere seconds ago, that figure was nothing but an illusion the real Lotario had projected to trick Cain.  Lotario’s coldness and killing intent were absolute as he proceeded with his attack.

Through the subtle contact of his palm against Cain’s head, he unleashed the full power of his Inner World and Alter Ego, channeling them into a soul-invasion spell.

Despite his vicious nature, Lotario was no fool-he was an experienced cultivator well-versed in the dangers of soul invasion.

He needed to pierce the barrier of Cain’s Soul Dimension, then lay waste to the young man’s Alter Ego, destroying his mind while leaving the body intact.

A body without a will could be sold to puppet masters who specialized in controlling powerful but empty vessels.

All these ambitions swirled within Lotario’s mind, but he remained focused and cautious.

He understood that while soul invasion was powerful, it required precision and speed.

Yet, to his shock, he managed to pierce into the Soul Dimension without any form of resistance, as if Cain had intentionally lowered his mental defenses.

This was not what he expected.

Typically, a cultivator-especially one as strong as Cain-would have intricate soul defenses in place.  Lotario’s Alter Ego, a massive golden-winged roc, materialized inside Cain’s Soul Dimension the next second.

Confusion knotted in the intruder’s mind.

Why had entering been so easy?

It felt like a trap.

Yet, before he could dwell on that, something even more shocking manifested: a gargantuan demonic snake-three hundred and fifty thousand meters tall-loomed into view, a being that seemed to embody utter carnage and gluttony.

“ROOOAAARRRR!” Leviathan roared with overwhelming might and killing intent as it gazed at the golden eagle that dared invade its domain.

The monstrous snake’s presence was imbued with the Concepts of Rage, Devour, Power, and more.

Lotario could barely comprehend this scene.

How could a person possess such a monstrous Alter Ego?

It was simple to powerful, even for someone at the Early Divine Transcendence Rank.

Lotario was terrified.

He understood he was in immense danger, yet he refused to let panic overwhelm him.

He readied himself to fight with everything he had.

His Inner World enhanced his soul force infused Alter-Ego, giving him a surge of energy as he prepared for a struggle inside Cain’s mind.  But before any fight took place, something else transpired.

In the next instant, a massive golden hand appeared inside the Soul Dimension.

It was so gigantic it dwarfed even the Leviathan and the giant golden roc.

This hand radiated unimaginable authority and power as if it were a fundamental law of existence given shape.

Lotario’s eyes widened, pure terror blazing within them as he realized he was utterly powerless against this new manifestation.

“Wait!

I am-” Lotario tried to speak, perhaps to beg for mercy or reason with this mysterious force, but it was too late.

The golden hand closed its grip around his Alter Ego, squeezing mercilessly for a few seconds.

When it opened its fist, all that remained of Lotario’s invading presence was a small orb of golden runes-his captured soul essence reduced to a manageable core, stripped of free will and resistance.

The Leviathan’s eyes glowed with wisdom at that moment, and Cain’s voice emerged from it, echoing throughout the Soul Dimension.

“Not even the soul of a Divine Transcendence cultivator can resist your power, Apex.

You are truly something.” The System Spirit’s voice reverberated with a reproachful tone the next second.

“Brat, I told you to be careful doing things like this.

If you do it against a Third Realm life form, I might be unable to seal it before he does cataclysmic damage to your Soul Dimension.” Cain-through the Leviathan-only smiled, nodding in acknowledgment.

“I know, I know.

I just wanted to test it.

I’ll be more careful from now on.” He gave one final glance to the orb that held all of Lotario’s soul and Ego Wave before pulling his consciousness out of the Soul Dimension and back into the real world.

His eyes snapped open in the void where the battle had taken place.

His head still tingled from the invasive attempt, but he was unharmed.

Before him hovered the body of Lotario, now lifeless and empty, a husk without a soul or willpower.  “Hmph, you deserve your fate,” Cain sneered as he examined Lotario’s remains.

From the beginning, he knew the man was lying.

While his words sounded righteous, The Flow had shown Cain the viciousness within Lotario’s soul.

Even if that had not been the case, Cain would never have trusted him simply because both were humans.

He did not hold illusions about racial camaraderie-he saw no race, only allies and enemies.

With a wave of his hand, Cain sent Lotario’s and Lupion’s corpses into his space ring.

He had successfully captured their allies as well-Anart and Aranto remained sealed in his Inner World, waiting for him to extract information at his leisure.

He had triumphed completely over four Divine Transcendence Masters in a single outing.

It was clear that once he used all his power and weapons, his battle strength reached a truly formidable level.

It might not be equal to his Neo-Demon Body, but it was not that far behind.

The next second, Cain’s eyes glowed as he dashed away, vanishing into the void.

He moved through folded layers of space, slipping between dimensions until he returned to Aether.

Only once he was back in Aether did Cain finally relax.

He had not even been in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe for an hour, and already, he had fought four Divine Transcendence Masters, ending them all.

Even though he instigated the fight with three of them-those Inferno Daemons-that did not change the truth: the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe was exceedingly dangerous.
