Through illusions and soul strikes, he could conceal the true extent of his abilities, maintaining the facade that he was just an Astral Rebirth Cultivator.

He would not need to expose his hidden paths too early.

Not to mention, the Ethereal Mirage Cultivation Technique had another bonus: it tempered the soul, offering a soul force far more potent than that of a normal cultivator at the identical rank.

Soul force was extremely important for many reasons, but the one that Cain was most interested in was the evolution of his Absolute Life Form System.

If he wanted to evolve the modules of the Absolute Life Form System, he needed to raise his soul force further.

Improving his Astral Rebirth and Essence Evolution Paths of Power would assist in that goal.

Without wanting to deviate too much in his thoughts, Cain focused on the cultivation process of the Ethereal Mirage Cultivation Technique.

He recalled it step by step: “First of all, I need to properly temper my soul force and stabilize my mental strength,” Cain considered.

“Once I achieve that, I must use Space-Time energy to forge, with my soul force, spatial threads that will allow me to anchor illusions in the real world.

These Spatial Threads will serve as bridges between my Inner World and external reality, weaving illusions that can mislead enemies and shield my true power.” Cain nodded as he recalled every step of the process.

With all his cores of power taken care of and his cultivation directions clear, he closed his eyes and fell into deep meditation inside his secluded abode.  About ten hours after Cain entered secluded meditation, several black boxes arrived at his residence.

These boxes were delivered swiftly, likely containing the resources he had ordered through the Gu Sect Interface.

When the servants of the house saw them, many of them could not help but show greed in their eyes, imagining what kind of treasures these boxes could hold.

The servants were merely Apotheosis Masters or Wave Kings, and the thought of what an Outer Elder could procure made their hearts race.

Of course, none of them dared to lay a hand on the boxes, as that would be tantamount to suicide.

No servant in their right mind would steal from an Outer Elder of the Gu Sect.

The black boxes remained at the entrance of the abode for ten full days, untouched, their contents sealed.

Finally, after ten days, the door of the cultivation abode opened for less than a second.

In that brief moment, an invisible force extended from within the abode, pulling the black boxes inside before the door closed once more.

Although this happened in a flash, the servants who had been quietly watching could not help but be awestruck.

Just in that instant, they felt waves of unique forces spreading out, energies merging inside that abode.

These forces were so intense, so profound, that none of them could even begin to understand their true nature.

Days became weeks, and weeks became months, but Cain did not emerge from his cultivation.

The entire residence remained quiet, the servants doing their menial tasks silently, and no one dared to disturb the Outer Elder.

Everyone knew that a cultivator who engaged in seclusion required absolute peace.

Breaking the silence or interfering might incur the wrath of the elder, something none of them could endure.

Suddenly, one day, a bloody figure appeared at the gates.

This individual stood outside, wounds visible, aura frantic, yet determined.

He called out in a rough, pain-laced voice, “I have come to see Outer Elder Laurifer!” The head butler of the house emerged to confront the newcomer.

A deep frown appeared on the butler’s face as he gazed at the visitor.

His eyes were sharp and full of distrust.

Shaking his head, the man replied, “Outer Elder Laurifer is in secluded cultivation, and he is receiving no one.” Hearing this, the bloody figure’s eyes widened.

He seemed desperate and unwilling to give up.

Immediately, he rebuked the butler’s statement: “He told me to come and meet him.

You need to pass the message!” The butler frowned more deeply, seeing this man’s persistence.

His tone turned stern and threatening.

“You had better leave, or I will summon the guards and-” Before the butler could finish his sentence, a voice echoed across the residence, carrying authority that could not be questioned.

“Enough.

He is my guest.

Let him in.” At that instant, the door to the cultivation abode opened once more, and Cain emerged.

It had been only three months-a very short amount of time in cultivation terms-but his aura was incredibly sharp.
