The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1398
Chapter 1398: Inner Elder Luzina Chapter 1398: Inner Elder Luzina Cain was very happy with his new wealth, not to mention he had obtained nearly double from all the people he killed.
He walked along the sect’s streets with a small, amused smile tugging at his lips.
“Hahaha, now I’m a fat cat,” the young man said to himself in a low voice, relishing the thought of his newly acquired riches.
The notion of being “fat” with resources felt pleasing-after all, Cain remembered very well when a single wave crystal was a fortune for him. A second later, Apex’s voice echoed in Cain’s mind, injecting a dose of reality.
“You’re in a very good mood, brat.
It’s as if you don’t know that man is selling your information right now.” Cain’s smile did not fade.
His expression revealed calm confidence rather than concern at the thought of Zoan spreading news of his exploits.
“I need people to understand my power if I want them to take me seriously when they try to entice me into their factions or bring deals to me,” he answered quietly, speaking only within his mind so no one else could hear.
“Zoan was perfect for that since the man is clearly an intelligence broker in the sect.” With that casual explanation, Cain continued walking, ignoring the suspicious or hostile stares from passersby.
Before long, he reached the Gu Library.
A sharp light appeared in Cain’s eyes as he entered the large, imposing structure.
Just like last time, the same tiny man from the Nether Clan awaited within, perched atop a massive hunting dog.
The small man seemed to be sleeping while the giant beast shot Cain a sharp, warning glance.
In response, Cain calmly performed a slight bow.
Even after his recent increase in strength, Cain still failed to fully perceive the tiny man’s capabilities.
Yet now, he no longer had to rely solely on guesswork.
A moment later, Cain summoned the enhanced [A.I.
Chip Module], carefully scanning the man.
He kept his head bowed to avoid drawing attention to himself, but inwardly, he tracked the module’s feedback.

Laws: Law of Mind Law of Soul Law of Beasts Law of Blood] Thankfully for Cain, his head was down, or else the beast or the tiny man noticed the flash of shock passing through his eyes.
The physical stats of the tiny old man weren’t especially impressive, but his energy pool was staggering, and his willpower placed him clearly at the peak of the Fourth Realm.
Even more shocking was the man’s soul force seemed to surpass the limits of the Peak Divine Transcendence Rank.
That implied that, at least in terms of soul cultivation, the man from the Nether Clan had moved beyond the conventional Soul Realm of Cultivation!
“No wonder I felt such a sense of danger when I looked at him,” Cain thought.

“From what little the [A.I.
Chip Module] detected, I can assume his battle style revolves around beasts, but I’m not certain.” These reflections raced through Cain’s mind in less than a heartbeat.
Then he raised his head, schooling his expression into calm neutrality as if nothing had happened.
“I came here for access to the Fifth Level of the Gu Library,” he announced, meeting the silent challenge from the giant hound’s eyes without flinching.
“Forty Spirit Cores for each tome you wish to extract,” came the voice in Cain’s mind.
The tiny old man never opened his mouth, yet his message resonated clearly.
Cain recognized it as the same method of communication as last time-a mental projection that signaled an impressive degree of soul mastery.
Cain nodded, revealing eighty Spirit Cores with a wave of his hand.
They floated toward the tiny old man.
A formation materialized in the middle of the room, humming softly with power.
Without further ado, Cain stepped onto the formation, and in the next instant, he appeared in a massive room filled with heavenly orbs floating through the air.
However, unlike the Seventh Floor he had once visited, this place contained only five such heavenly bodies.
Cain wasted no time.
He focused immediately on the orbs that contained knowledge regarding Genetic Coding and Tribulation Enhancement.
Now that his talent had evolved, thanks to his various modules, Cain felt ready to once more harness the power of those professions.
For that, he needed fresh techniques to guide his training, gleaned from masters who had gone before him.
Of course, he could rely solely on himself and the Codex of Infinite Pathways for slow self-discovery, but there was no need to struggle when he was filthy rich.
With resources to spare, he might as well speed up his progress by investing in advanced knowledge.
Once he obtained the two copies of the orbs, Cain used the formation again, returning to the first level of the library.
Casting a small bow in the direction of the tiny old man and the hunting dog, he left the tower.
After taking care of his task at the library, Cain headed back to his residence.
The servants immediately bowed upon seeing him, and Cain merely nodded in acknowledgment before entering a silent room.
Although his cultivation abode was the best place for true immersion in training, it was unwise to isolate himself when he expected visitors at any moment.
As it turned out, Cain did not wait long.
The next day, a woman from the Godslayer Humankind arrived at his door.
“Tell the Outer Elder that Inner Elder Luzina has come,” she commanded with a tone that brooked no argument.
“Yes, my Lady,” the head butler responded, adopting an absolutely deferential stance.
Unlike receiving Mario, this time, the butler displayed the utmost respect.
Not only did she belong to the Light Races, but she also possessed the status of an Inner Elder.
