“I am Outer Elder Cain Laurifer, here to meet Core Elder Azure.” The man regarded Cain for a moment, his eyes narrowing slightly as he assessed the elder before responding.

He mirrored Cain’s gesture, placing his hands into Cain’s with a similar firmness.

After a brief pause, he nodded subtly, signaling for the gates to open.

“I am Amir.

Follow me, Elder Laurifer.” Together, the duo began their walk through the grand castle, Cain unable to conceal his astonishment at the sheer opulence that surrounded him.

The castle grounds were a testament to both natural beauty and mystical prowess.

The gardens were adorned with an array of mystical flora, each plant more exquisite than the last.

These weren’t mere flowers; they shimmered with unleashed waves of pure energy, their vibrant colors pulsating in harmony with immense force.

Cain recognized these as treasures for which Divine Transformation masters would give left arms.  Inside the castle, the walls were lined with an assortment of paintings.

However, these were no ordinary works of art.

As Cain gazed upon them, he felt an inexplicable connection to the might of the Laws depicted within each canvas.

The paintings seemed to emanate a silent power, each stroke and hue carefully crafted to embody the very essence of the governing principles that maintained balance and order within reality.  Their path eventually led them to a set of imposing gates, distinct from those that had welcomed them earlier.

The man turned to Cain, a hint of respect in his eyes as he knew that very few people had the right to meet his master in her private room.

“Please wait here.

Lady Azure will summon you when she is ready.” With those words, Amir clasped his hand once more before departing, leaving Cain standing alone before the new gates.

He remained motionless, maintaining his composure as he patiently awaited the next phase of his journey.

Fortunately, his wait was brief.

Approximately five minutes later, the heavy doors swung open, revealing an elderly woman of striking presence.

Lady Azure stepped forward, her body exuding a metallic sheen that caught the light in mesmerizing ways.

Her eyes glowed with an inner fire, reflecting the flame of life that burned within her.

She was a member of the Anima Machinarium Race.

The Animas were renowned for their profound wisdom and superior mental capabilities, often surpassing those of their peers in similar ranks.

Their mastery over the Laws was unparalleled, allowing them to harness and manipulate these fundamental forces with ease and precision.

Despite their advanced intellect, the Animas were physically distinct.

Their metallic bodies rendered traditional training techniques ineffective, yet their forms were incredibly powerful.

Each Anima’s body resembled a full armor set, seamlessly integrated inside and out, providing protection and strength.

Unlike other races, the Animas could not access bloodlines, but their bodies remained in pristine condition, unaffected by the ravages of time.

“It is a pleasure to finally meet you, elder Laurifer.” Lady Azure’s voice was soft and kind, carrying a maternal aura that naturally encouraged those around her to lower their defenses.

It was a subtle power, one that could disarm even the most guarded individuals.

However, Cain remained vigilant.

His mind was sharp, ever aware of the potential threats that lay beneath courteous exteriors.

Despite this, he offered a warm smile, nodding in acknowledgment.

“The pleasure is all mine, Lady Azure.” “Please come in, let’s have a seat,” Lady Azure responded, her voice gentle yet commanding.

Cain and the Anima walked deeper into the room.

As they settled, a robotic voice resonated within the confines of Cain’s mind, initiating a scan of Lady Azure.

Lady Azure, however, had utilized her vast energy pool to achieve the same result.

This revelation left Cain contemplating the sheer magnitude of her abilities.

‘She must be capable of unleashing spells of extraordinary power,’ Cain mused silently.

‘Given her Laws, the destructive power within them must be unparalleled.

If I ever find myself in conflict with her, I must ensure to strike her body before the battle begins, or else I will only be able to evade her attacks.’ His thoughts immediately turned to strategies for defeating such a formidable opponent.

The very first notion that came to mind was how to counteract her immense energy.

The Gu Contest pitted every participant against each other in a bloody battle royale.

In such an environment, Cain realized that everyone in the sect was effectively an enemy, each one a potential adversary he would inevitably clash with.
