The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1449
Chapter 1449: Defeating the Golden Lake Avatar Chapter 1449: Defeating the Golden Lake Avatar Determination and focus blazed in Cain’s eyes as he unleashed the full might of his Ego Wave and dual cultivation.
The swirling powers of Star Power and Laws raged around the Spear of Doom as he shot upward into the Avatar’s body.
Through his Fallen Archangel Battle Set, he felt the suffocating pressure of the Golden Lake Avatar’s immense body pressing in from all sides like a gargantuan, liquefied fortress.
Every fraction of a second, his body threatened to buckle under the unimaginable weight of molten plasma, each motion draining him.
Yet, with the Tower of Power’s energy coursing through his veins, Cain found just enough strength to push forward.
Inch by excruciating inch, he pierced his way into the Avatar’s colossal form until, at last, he spotted it-a white orb the size of a watermelon, nestled deep within the swirling golden mass.
The orb shone with a serene, sky-blue radiance that stirred a moment of awe in Cain’s heart.
Yet he smothered that admiration beneath his unyielding killing intent.
With a surge of Fallen Aura igniting at the Spear of Doom’s tip, he drove the weapon straight into the orb-the spiritual core of the Golden Lake Avatar!
For an instant, the battlefield above and the molten depths below seemed to freeze.
Then the Avatar trembled, its molten eyes widening in stark confusion. “BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!” Abruptly, its towering body ruptured, releasing an earth-shaking blast of golden plasma that scattered outward in every direction.
The cultivators of the Gu Sect and the Golden Star Kingdom could only watch in stunned disbelief.
Moments before, the Avatar had slain Ariel, plunging everyone into despair.
Now, in a single heartbeat, the gargantuan creature shuddered and detonated.
The abruptness left them reeling, their minds struggling to comprehend what had occurred.
A tidal wave of scorching energy hurtled through the battlefield.
The shockwave exploded outward, toppling the weaker or more grievously wounded cultivators.
Agonized cries pierced the air as those unable to withstand the force perished, their last moments drowned in the roar of destruction.
Yet not all was lost.
“CRACK!” A deep fissure suddenly appeared in the massive golden dome that had entrapped them.
Shimmering lines branched out like spiderwebs, weakening the dome until it shattered in a blaze of broken plasma.
Floods of light spilled in, ushering in a desperate chance at salvation.
Without a moment’s hesitation, every cultivator who still drew breath bolted for the shore, pouring the last vestiges of their strength into escaping the Golden Lake.
In truth, none understood exactly how the Avatar met its apparent end, but none lingered to investigate.
They were all too aware that if the monster somehow revived, nobody would likely survive a second encounter.
Their collective instincts proved accurate.
Not five minutes after the dome’s collapse, the Golden Lake Avatar manifested once again.
This time, though, it was noticeably smaller, and the energy it radiated had diminished to the absolute peak of the Divine Transcendence Rank-an alarming but far more manageable level compared to its prior godlike strength.
Whatever had transpired within its depths had clearly left it weakened.
“ARRRGHHHHH!” An unholy roar of rage erupted from the Avatar’s new form.

Its molten eyes raked across the horizon as though searching for something.
Both factions’ survivors had already fled, many resorting to forbidden techniques that inflicted dire consequences upon themselves-just to gain an extra burst of speed and outdistance the raging colossus.
The battered remnants of the Gu Sect collapsed onto the shore, gasping for air.
Terror still clung to their eyes, and an uneasy silence settled as they took stock of their depleted numbers.
Nearly half had fallen during the nightmarish conflict with the Avatar, and the most profound bitterness gnawed at their hearts: they had gained nothing from this blood-soaked ordeal.
Their grand expedition into the Golden Lake, which had promised a majestic Natural Inheritance, had instead delivered them into a living hell.
Now, it seemed that nightmare might finally be behind them.
A hush descended, broken only by ragged breathing and the occasional cough.
Some cultivators stared blankly at the molten waves as if trying to make sense of what had transpired.
Others lay sprawled on the ground, too exhausted to speak.
Suddenly, the unmistakable sound of rippling water dragged their eyes back to the lake’s surface.
From within the molten depths, a badly burned figure emerged, his entire body scorched to the point of near unrecognizability.
Yet, as soon as they sensed his soul aura and energy fluctuations, they realized in astonishment.
It was Cain.
“You!
How are you still alive!?” came a furious shout from Goldker, the Godslayer Human from the Night Prince’s faction with whom Cain had argued before.
His voice carried the bewilderment felt by everyone present.
They had all witnessed Cain vanish beneath the molten plasma-seemingly doomed-only to resurface alive.
With most of his skin charred black, Cain’s features were difficult to discern, but his eyes remained cold.
He gazed at Goldker with utter disdain.
“Why should I explain myself to you?” he asked flatly, his voice rasping yet edged with unwavering arrogance.
Goldker’s eyes flared with wrath.
Beneath his rage lay a predator’s cunning-this was his chance to kill Cain and mask it beneath a veneer of righteous vengeance.
“Hmph, bastard!
Your recklessness cost Zafira her life!” Goldker spat, launching himself forward in a blur of speed.
The claim was disingenuous-he cared little about Zafira’s fate-but it served as a convenient pretext for murder.
None of the surrounding cultivators moved to intervene.
Even those from Lady Azure’s faction observed silently, expecting that, in his ravaged state, Cain would be quickly dispatched.
His grievous injuries seemed too severe for any further resistance.
They were about to be proven wrong.
Just as Goldker closed in, preparing to deliver a killing strike, the Tower of Power pulsed, sending a fresh torrent of energy coursing into Cain’s body.
His eyes gleamed with renewed ferocity as his burned muscles flexed, and the Spear of Doom responded by crackling with lethal power.
Cain lunged forward, channeling the sudden infusion of strength through his spear arm.
Goldker, taken utterly by surprise, had no time to evade or parry.
“SPLAT!” The Spear of Doom skewered Goldker’s head like a bursting balloon, painting the air in a gruesome spray of blood and gore.
The Night Prince’s warriors looked on in horror, recoiling at the swift brutality of Cain’s counterattack.
