The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1453
Chapter 1453: Zafira’s fate Chapter 1453: Zafira’s fate As always, the servants stationed at the entrance of Cain’s cultivation abode bowed deeply as he passed through the ornate gates.
Their movements were precise, practiced, and deferential, reflecting respect and also fear for the mysterious figure of the Outer Elder.
Cain, however, barely acknowledged them.
His mind was already preoccupied with thoughts of what lay ahead.
Upon entering his chambers, Cain usually retreated into the [Samsara Arsenal Module]’s Second Layer through the Absolute Life Form System, immersing himself in the Soul Enlightenment Mist, which made cultivation much more efficient.
But today was different.
He needed to remain within the Gu Sect’s territory because he was waiting for someone, someone who wanted to speak with him very much and who most likely was full of rage.
Barely an hour into his meditation, the familiar, mechanical voice of the Absolute Life Form System echoed in his mind. [External force detected attempting to pull the Vessel’s consciousness into a dream dimension.
The energy signature corresponds to the power of the Night Prince.
Does the Vessel wish for the system to block the intrusion?] Cain’s lips curved into a slight, knowing smile.
After his first interaction with the Night Prince, he instructed the system to develop a defensive measure against the Night Prince’s dream-manipulation abilities.
The fact that the system had intercepted this attempt proved its success.
“Do not interfere,” Cain replied coolly, his smile widening.
This was exactly what he had anticipated.
Cain knew this would happen.
Though capable of using a communication crystal, The Night Prince preferred these dramatic gestures, making it very obvious how engaged the man was.
And Cain intended to face him head-on.
In the blink of an eye, the familiar serenity of Cain’s cultivation abode gave way to a world of absolute darkness.
This was the Night Prince’s domain-a dream dimension where he could forcefully draw people in.
The air seemed heavy with unseen power, pressing down on Cain’s body and mind with suffocating intensity.
It didn’t take long for the Night Prince to manifest.
“RUMBLE!” The entire dimension quaked as the Night Prince appeared, his towering form wrapped in pure darkness, making it impossible to discern his features, but even with that, it was easy to feel his rage.
The sheer weight of his presence sent tremors rippling through the space, and the oppressive aura he exuded enhanced the pressure Cain was feeling.
A frown formed on Cain’s face as whispers began to echo in his mind.
Strange, incoherent voices wove a tapestry of chaos, each whisper tugging at his emotions, seeking to unravel his composure.
Anger, sorrow, despair-they surged within him, threatening to drown his rationality.
For a brief moment, Cain faltered.
His mind swirled in a maelstrom of confusion and horror.
But then, the Power of Order swept through his soul, silencing the cacophony of voices and restoring his clarity.
His breathing steadied, and the calm, serene expression returned to his face.

A sharp light flickered in his eyes as he studied the Night Prince anew.
The more he learned from the man, the more dangerous he felt.
His abilities were both insidious and overwhelming.
Had Cain not been a Master of Order, he might have been forced to reveal the full extent of his power as Leviathan-and even then, survival would not have been guaranteed.
‘His abilities are truly dangerous,’ Cain thought, his wariness growing.
But Cain wasn’t the only one taking stock.
The Night Prince’s piercing gaze rested on Cain, his expression darkening as he observed the younger man’s composure.
His dream attack, a technique powerful enough to break even Peak Divine Transcendence Masters, had failed utterly.
Though a flicker of disbelief crossed his features, the Night Prince quickly buried it, his voice ringing out with cold authority, “We had an agreement, Cain.
Do you truly think I am someone who can be ignored?” The darkness around them thickened, and the Prince’s tone grew more menacing.
“I allowed you to eliminate Alonz and Goldker to maintain your cover with Core Elder Azure.
That was the deal.
But I made it clear-Zafira was to be protected.
Not only did you fail in that task, but you cast her into the Golden Lake, condemning her to certain death!” The fury in his voice was palpable, and Cain could feel the weight of his words pressing down on him like a storm.
The Night Prince had every reason to be enraged.
Zafira’s death was a direct betrayal of their agreement.
But Cain did not flinch.
He let the Prince’s anger burn itself out, waiting patiently for the right moment to respond.
When he finally spoke, his voice was calm and measured.
“Nine hundred kilometers south of the Gu Sect lies a mountain.
These are the coordinates…” Cain recited a string of numbers, his tone giving away nothing.
The Night Prince’s frown deepened as confusion flickered across his face.
Before he could demand an explanation, Cain continued.
“Search the mountain’s core.” The Night Prince hesitated, his sharp eyes narrowing as he studied Cain.
For a moment, he seemed on the verge of lashing out again.
Instead, he closed his eyes, and Cain felt the power of the dream dimension weaken greatly.
It would be easy to break out now, but Cain remained still, confident that his plan would unfold as intended.
Fifteen minutes later, the Prince’s eyes snapped open.
His previous rage had vanished, replaced by something else-awe.
The Night Prince exhaled deeply, then inclined his head in a gesture of respect.
“I owe you an apology, Brother Laurifer,” he said, his voice tinged with gratitude.
“Had I known Zafira was still alive, our conversation would have taken a far different tone.” What the Night Prince had found within the mountain was not a treasure but Zafira herself, alive and unharmed.
In truth, Cain had never intended for her to die.
During their crash into the Golden Lake, he had subdued Zafira and sealed her consciousness before placing her within his Inner World, protecting her from the lake’s deadly plasma.
Afterward, he had hidden her in the mountain’s core, securing her safety while maintaining the illusion of her demise.
