The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1465
Chapter 1465: The Death Fields Chapter 1465: The Death Fields Cain’s eyes sharpened as he heard Elrick’s words.
His status as a Master of Concepts was no longer a secret.
He had unleashed it to push his physical strength beyond its limits and survive a devastating punch from the Godly Lake Avatar.
Yet what no one knew-and what Cain intended to keep hidden-was that the Concept of Rage was the weakest among the Concepts he had mastered.
His true strength lay in his dominance over the Concepts of Gluttony, Sundering, Power, and Life.
Each of these was far more potent, refined through relentless cultivation and countless battles.
They were the foundation of his power and gave him a powerful edge in any battle, especially if the enemy was taken by surprise.
Cain pushed these thoughts aside and nodded silently at the young woman, Mera, acknowledging her presence.
His attention shifted back to Elrick, whose commanding demeanor left no doubt that he was the leader of this elite team.
Elrick wasted no time addressing the group.
“We’ll travel using Mary’s shadows,” he began, his tone firm and authoritative.
“Make sure your energy is completely cloaked.
Even the slightest leak could reveal our presence.” Cain didn’t respond verbally.
Instead, he demonstrated his skill by sealing his aura and Star Power so completely that not even the faintest fluctuation could be detected.
His presence diminished until it seemed as though he was nothing more than a mortal who had never cultivated a day in his life.
The display drew astonished looks from the rest of the team.
Even Elrick, with all his experience, couldn’t hide his surprise.
The group exchanged glances, silently acknowledging that they wouldn’t need to worry about Cain compromising their location.
Satisfied, Elrick turned to Mary, who nodded.
Shadows surged around the group, enveloping them in a cocoon of darkness.
Within moments, the shadows melted into the night, carrying them away at incredible speed.
Cain found himself encased in a dark bubble within Mary’s Shadow Pocket.
The outside world was still visible, but it was shrouded in an eerie gloom as though viewed through a veil of shadows.
The sensation was strange, almost as if he had stepped into another dimension entirely.
Since there was nothing to do but wait, Cain sat cross-legged inside the bubble and began meditating.
While he couldn’t actively cultivate without risking detection, he could focus on refining his techniques and strategies.
Meditation required only mental effort, and it was a welcome distraction during the long journey.
As time passed, Cain couldn’t help but notice the increasing speed of Mary’s Shadow Pocket.
Her control over the Laws of Space was remarkable, surpassing even her mastery of the Laws of Shadows.
The way she manipulated spatial dimensions to enhance their movement was a testament to her skill and power.

After nearly six hours of travel, Cain sensed that they had left the Gu Sect’s domain.
The atmosphere around them grew oppressive, and the stench of blood and decay filled the air.
The earth beneath them seemed cursed, radiating an aura of death and despair.
‘The Death Fields,’ Cain thought.
He had learned about this place from stolen memories of other Gu Sect’s cultivators.
It was once a radiant land teeming with life, but it had become a desolate wasteland after centuries of conflict.
The Death Fields had been a contested battleground between the Gu Sect and the Eclipse School, the last of the Lord-Tier Organizations on the Everlife Continent.
Neither faction had been willing to cede control, and their endless battles had unleashed such devastation that the very Laws of the land had been corrupted.
The result was this forsaken place where nothing thrived, and death reigned supreme.
Cain glanced at the others.
Aside from Elrick, the rest of the team seemed surprised to find themselves in such a grim location.
Even Mary, who was guiding them, had limited herself to following Elrick’s instructions.
It was clear that Lady Azure had entrusted only him with the precise location of the Sky Sovereign’s Tomb.
“Smart,” Cain thought, silently praising the old Anima’s caution.
She had ensured that critical information remained compartmentalized, minimizing the risk of leaks.
Elrick finally gave the signal, and the group emerged from the shadows, standing in the heart of the Death Fields.
The oppressive atmosphere pressed down on them, but they stood unfazed.
“The Sky Sovereign’s Tomb is located in a hidden dimensional layer built around this place,” Elrick explained.
“We can thank the Eclipse School for finding it so easily.
Without their battles with the Gu Sect destabilizing this area, it would have taken far longer for the entrances to be revealed.” He paused, ensuring he had everyone’s attention, before pointing toward a towering mountain in the distance.
“Follow me.” Cain and the others followed Elrick to the mountain’s base, their movements silent and deliberate.
Once they arrived, Elrick retrieved a small parchment from his storage ring.
“I’m going to open the entrance now,” he said.
“Remember, Lady Azure was only able to perform a preliminary scan.
All we know is that the tomb doesn’t allow Third Realm lifeforms to enter and that communication with the outside world will be impossible once we’re inside.
Beyond that, we have no idea what we’ll encounter.
Be prepared for anything.” The group nodded solemnly, their energy flaring in readiness.
Despite their strength, they were about to step into the tomb of a Peak Prima Deity-a being whose power and treasures were beyond their realm.
They knew that such a place would not welcome intruders.
Whatever defenses or challenges lay ahead, they would undoubtedly be formidable.
Elrick, seeing that everyone was prepared, destroyed the parchment.
A surge of energy erupted from the mountain, causing a strange ripple in space.
A portal shimmered into existence, its edges glowing faintly as it pulsed with otherworldly energy.
“Now!” Elrick shouted, leading the way as the team charged into the portal.
Cain held back, remaining at the rear.
As the last of the group disappeared into the portal, he retrieved a small crystal from his storage ring.
A cruel glint appeared in his eyes as he quickly sent a message before stepping through the portal himself.
