The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1478
Chapter 1478: Taking the books Chapter 1478: Taking the books While the rest of the group raced toward safety, Cain suddenly skidded to a halt.
He spun around and charged back into the inferno of the hall full of flaming statues ready to kill him, leaving Elrick and the others staring in stunned disbelief.
When the Peak Divine Transcendence Masters realized what Cain was doing, their eyes flickered with meaningful light as they exchanged uneasy glances.
They had witnessed enough of Cain’s movements to know he never acted without purpose.
For a split second, the notion of following him crossed their minds, as they wanted whatever that young man was after.
However, the sight of a dozen maniacal flaming statues roaring toward them with lethal intent banished that thought almost instantly.
With no other option, Elrick, Auron, and the rest flashed forward, crossing the portal and abandoning Cain to face the hall’s fury alone.
Cain observed Elrick and the others vanish with a faint, knowing smile.
Actually, had they remained behind, everything would have been much more complicated.
Now that his “allies” were gone, the flaming statues focused their full killing might on Cain.
Their stone fists glowed with flames as they lunged from every direction, each blow aimed at crushing him to a pulp.
A cold gleam lit Cain’s eyes.
He locked onto the incoming blazing fists, then felt the Royal Supernova Space-Time Eye on his forehead activate.
Essence Origin surged through it as the full power of his Inner World nurtured the special organ, exponentially enhancing his control over the Laws.
“Chrono Lock!” he shouted, unleashing the full power of the Law of Time.
A brilliant pulse of energy washed over the statues, freezing their deadly strikes in midair.
Cain darted past them in a single, graceful motion, closing in on the compressing runic formation at the far side of the chamber.
Yet countless more flaming statues barreled into his path.
Before they could land a single blow, the Fallen Archangel Battle Set materialized around Cain, elevating his physical prowess and merging his Astral Origin and Essence Origin into a formidable Fallen Aura.
“Wrath of the Nine Hells!” Cain roared, wielding the Spear of Doom in a wide, whirling arc.
A tornado of dark flame erupted around him, dragging several statues off their feet and hurling them aside, clearing a path to the runic formation.
The Law of Space flared within him, shrinking the distance in a flash.
The next moment, he appeared before the formation just as it converged.
In its place hovered two books, each radiating an uncanny aura.
The first bore a majestic flame on its cover, appearing to channel the Law of Fire at an impressive level.
The second displayed a blazing star motif, exuding potent Star Power.
Cain had no time to investigate further: the remaining statues were already converging, eager to smash him into the ground.
With no hesitation, Cain snatched the books and stored them inside his Inner World.
Then he pushed the Law of Space and Time to its limit, rocketing toward the ceiling just as a volley of stone fists and blazing swords tore through the space he’d occupied moments earlier.
He hung suspended for a split second, eyes gleaming with the force of the Tier 9 Astral Supmreacy Star flowing through his body concentrated in the Spear of Doom, then dove like a comet.

Every ounce of the Laws he commanded and the force of his Star Power channeled into the spear as he blasted the statues in his path before crashing into the ground.
“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!” A thunderous explosion shook the hall, launching the statues in every direction.
Without wasting a breath, Cain burst forward, sprinting toward the exit at blinding speed.
Overcoming the statues-even for a brief moment-demanded an exorbitant toll.
If he didn’t escape quickly, his swiftly draining energy reserves would fail him, and the rampaging statues would ensure a grisly end.
Clenching his teeth, Cain dashed forward at full speed.
Sweat trickled down his brow as the statues regrouped, roaring fiercely.
Flames licked at his heels, each footstep a desperate dash for survival.
One statue hurled a spear of pure flame.
The Flow surged through Cain’s mind, mapping the spear’s trajectory in a fraction of a second.
He twisted his body in a half-spin, letting the projectile streak past his shoulder, the air behind him igniting in a searing corona.
Another statue lurched in from his flank, stone claws raised for a killing blow.
Cain flickered sideways, narrowly dodging the strike.
Thunderous impacts echoed across the chamber, and waves of blistering heat scorched the edges of his armor.
Still, Cain persevered, drawing on every scrap of focus and skill he possessed.
Each heartbeat pulsed with the Law of Space and Time, guiding him through a lethal ballet of evasion and counterpressure.
Despite the burning ache in his limbs, he keeps pushing forward with more and more power.
At last, he spied the flaming portal looming ahead.
Relief sparked within him, but three massive statues crashed down between him and the exit, their stone bodies igniting in fresh, roaring flames, determined to hold him captive.
“GO TO HELL!” Cain roared, igniting both the Concept of Rage and the Concept of Power.
His muscles expanded until his frame nearly doubled in size, raw energy flooding every cell.
He swept the Spear of Doom in a scorching arc, unleashing a seething wave of black fire.
It struck the statues in their chests, blasting them away and leaving a clear path to the portal.
Cain lunged forward, heart pounding, victory in sight.
Yet the instant he reached the threshold, the Fallen Archangel Battle Set peeled away from his body, and the powers of his Essence Evolution and Laws dissolved.
He could not reveal his dual cultivation to the others. Crossing the portal felt like swimming through a sea of flames, but fortunately, the sensation was short-lived.
In the next second, Cain found himself in a scorching expanse, his lungs gasping for air.
However, he had no chance to catch his breath.
His eyes landed on Elrick and the rest of the group, waiting only a few meters away. CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Redsunworld Check the comments for images 8/28 Chapter: 21 weekly + 4 for golden ranking (+50) + 3 for power stone ranking (+400)
