The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1493

Chapter 1493: The Night Prince€™s faction!
Elrick and his companions’ gazes fixed on the lifeless body that lay upon a raised platform of polished stone.
The corpse radiated an extraordinary vitality-its aura as potent as the blazing core of a star.
Though it no longer drew breath, the remains still seemed to channel vast cosmic energy.
That was the body of the legendary Sky Sovereign, a man said to have been only one small step away from attaining the Archdeity Rank.
A low murmur rippled through Elrick’s group.
They couldn’t help but feel a mixture of awe and apprehension.
Still, they swiftly forced such thoughts aside, and an urgent tension filled the air as another gate groaned open.
A second group was tossed into the dome, their gate shutting down the next second, looking everybody in.
Shock and confusion flickered in the eyes of Elrick, Auron, Mera, and the Deus Behemoth brothers.
They recognized the seven newcomers all too well-three were Godslayer Humans along with three Deus Behemoths, and the last was a member of the Anima Machinarium Race.
“The Night Prince’s faction!” Elrick spat the words through clenched teeth as he recognized their faces since they were all from the same sect.
As he voiced the accusation, a towering Deus Behemoth stepped forward.
He resembled a humanoid snow leopard, standing nearly three and a half meters tall.
His thick fur bristled with a frosty aura, the freezing energy of his Soul Bloodline so intense it seemed to warp the space-time around him.
“Elrick, we meet again,” the Deus Behemoth said, his cold grin revealing a mouth full of sharp fangs.
“Last time, you ran away like a frightened child, but…” He paused, looking around the dome at the sealed gates.
When his gaze returned to Elrick, his smile grew even more malicious.
“It seems there’ll be no running this time.” The mention of their previous encounter sent a tremor of dread through Elrick’s body.
He remembered all too well how narrowly he had escaped with his life.
His eyes darted toward the sealed gates as if hunting for any potential escape routes.
In the same breath, he roared across the battlefield, “Diamon, how did you reach this place!?” Diamon-the snow leopard Deus Behemoth-merely chuckled with cruel delight.
He shrugged his broad shoulders as if in mock sympathy.
“Do you really think that old hag was the only one who caught wind of the Sky Sovereign’s resting place?
News travels, Elrick.
And speaking of that, enough idle chatter.
If you lay down your weapons now, I promise to make your deaths quick.” No one in Elrick’s entourage even considered surrender.
Tension crackled like static in the air as they brandished their weapons, Star Power, Laws, and Soul Bloodlines flaring with urgent might.
Cain also raised his weapon-though, inwardly, he was more focused on his own hidden agenda.

For now, he merely pretended to match the group’s determination, readying himself for the coming clash.
Diamon’s lips curled in feral anticipation.
A massive, freezing axe materialized in his hand, the air around it turning so cold that wisps of frost crystallized on the floor.
“Excellent,” he growled.
“It’s been too long since I’ve had a real fight!” In a single bound, Diamon closed the distance between himself and the rival faction.
His colossal axe came crashing down with overwhelming force.
“BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!” The dome reverberated like a struck gong as the impact unleashed a deafening shockwave of ice.
A harsh, blinding white light exploded outward, forcing everyone to shield their eyes. Almost instantly, spells and blasts of energy from both sides crisscrossed the dome, igniting a chain reaction of violent collisions.
Like a raging sea of radiance and elemental fury, the tempest of power and destruction suffocated the air, making it impossible for anyone below the Divine Transcendence Rank to survive.
Though the dome was the size of a small city, the thirteen combatants moved at incredible speeds, their figures flashing like streaks of light.
Enormous spells channeling the power of the Laws tore through the air, and bursts of Star Power crashed against Soul Bloodline techniques, gouging craters into the dome’s floor and walls.
The thunderous roar of colliding powers threatened to bring the entire structure down around them.
Despite this sea of chaotic energy, the corpse of the Sky Sovereign remained untouched.
In fact, a circular area about five meters around the body stayed utterly pristine, as if even in death, the Sky Sovereign’s presence repelled outside forces.
Neither Diamon’s faction nor Elrick’s group spared much attention to the corpse at this moment for two key reasons.
First, the Sky Sovereign’s body radiated such power that no one could seal it inside a storage item or an Inner World without risking catastrophic backlash.
Second, holding onto the corpse while fighting in these cramped conditions would only hinder their combat performance.
Both factions wordlessly came to the same conclusion: Kill the opposition first, then claim the body.
Cain’s eyes glowed with the golden light of the Flow as he blocked a punch from a heavily armored Godslayer Human.
This warrior had fierce blue eyes, hair flickered like living flames, and armor radiating intense heat.
His entire body channeled a Fire Star Power, exuding destructive force so strong that it warped the air around him in ripples of heat.
Sparks and embers flew where Cain’s spear collided with the warrior’s gauntlet, neither side able to claim an immediate advantage.
Cain gritted his teeth, shifting his weight.
At the last moment, he twisted his torso and used his opponent’s forward momentum to shove him slightly off balance.
Not even a second later came to move a few hundred meters to the side.
Swiftly sidestepping, Cain dodged a spontaneous burst of fire that flared into existence precisely where he had stood a second before.
‘Law of Fire and Law of Space-deadly combination,’ Cain thought, his gaze landing on a slender woman, her eyes blazing and her gauntlets covered in glowing spatial runes.
She had the same flaming hair and intense aura as the male warrior, making it obvious the two were siblings.
It was entirely possible they were the pathfinders who had guided the Night Prince’s faction to this location.
Though it had taken them nearly twice as long as Cain to arrive, their raw power and synergy were undeniable.
