Chapter 1500: Breakthrough to Divine Transformation Chapter 1500: Breakthrough to Divine Transformation Diamon, along with the others who had thrown themselves at Cain in a desperate bid to kill him, abruptly found themselves pushed back by a powerful shockwave.

Their skin burned under the intense heat and radiation flooding out from the center of the chamber.

They had no choice but to redirect their energy toward protecting their bodies from the scorching onslaught, halting their advance just when they seemed on the brink of delivering a decisive strike.

Confusion and shock rippled through the Peak Divine Transcendence Masters.

A single heartbeat-coming from the lifeless Sky Sovereign’s chest-had triggered these waves of cosmic radiation.

It felt as though the entire sub-dimension inside the dome was caught in a star’s fiery pulse.

No one fully understood how a mere beat could set off such a cataclysmic release of power.

Of course, while confusion assaulted everybody else, Cain’s eyes glowed with a meaningful light.

He had figured out long ago that the radiation that flooded the tomb belonged to a Tier 9 Astral Supremacy Star.

But one question had haunted him: Where was the star itself?  Such a celestial body normally resided in a different plane of existence.

Its size and energy were so overwhelming that no spatial artifact nor even a Peak Divine Transcendence Master’s Inner World could possibly contain it.

However, after seeing the Sky Sovereign’s corpse, Cain had formed a wild hypothesis.

Unfortunately, even in death, the Third Realm cultivator’s physical shell was still too mighty for Cain’s Absolute Life Form System to fully scan.

Without that data, he could only gamble.

When he slammed his fist into the body’s chest, he placed all his bets on the idea that Tier 9 Astral Supremacy Star was inside the heart of the Third Realm life form, and he was right!

Despite the outward calm he projected, Cain was far from unscathed.

He gripped the Sky Sovereign’s shoulder with an ironclad hand to stop himself from being hurled away by each subsequent shockwave.

Although the [A.I.

Chip Module] in his body allowed him to harness pure Star Power from this radiation, the waves of heat still scorched his flesh.

His skin cracked in places, and streaks of blood seeped through.

While Cain clung to the corpse, Diamon’s voice boomed from across the dome.

The snow leopard-like Deus Behemoth radiated palpable desperation and fury.

“Push forward!

If we don’t kill him, we’re all dead!” The immediate future looked grim to Diamon and the others.

Cain was a terrifying, multi-talented foe, brimming with cunning and monstrous potential.

If they failed to end him now, he would surely become an insurmountable threat in the future and hunt them all down.

Encouraged by Diamon’s shout, Auron and the rest gritted their teeth, forced themselves to endure the scorching cosmic radiation, and once again surged toward Cain.

Their eyes burned with killing intent, and their auras flared around, protecting them from the radiation.

Cain sneered.

Even though his body ached, he couldn’t help letting a cruel smile bloom across his face.

With his free hand, he drew back his fist and slammed it into the same spot on the Sky Sovereign’s chest a second time.

“THUMP!” Another seismic heartbeat reverberated, unleashing a fresh shockwave of star-like force.

Diamon and all their comrades were thrown back again, several coughing up blood as they skidded across the heated floor.

While the assault wreaked havoc on them, Cain also felt its strain.

He was standing at the very epicenter of the star’s renewed pulse; it seared his body from within and without.

It was clear that if he kept forcing the Sky Sovereign’s heart to beat, he could stave off their relentless attacks-for a time.

Diamon, however, showed no intention of giving up.

The Deus Behemoth spat a mouthful of blood onto the floor, then roared: “Keep pushing!

He can’t keep this up forever!” Though battered, the group recognized the truth in Diamon’s words.

Cain might be channeling an incredible power, but every heartbeat also harmed him.

All of them dug deep into their reserves, ignoring the burning pain scouring their skin, and prepared to charge again.

Cain’s eyes narrowed as he saw the Divine Transcendence Masters pushing forwardrd.

While it was true that he couldn’t maintain this trick indefinitely, it would buy him some time.

A fierce determination shone in Cain’s flaming irises.

“Fortunately, ‘temporary’ is all I need!” he muttered under his breath.

His fist slammed down once more.

“THUMP!” A third shockwave ripped across the dome, casting Diamon and the others backward again.

The entire structure groaned, cracks spiderwebbing across the walls and ceiling under the relentless bombardment.

Diamon and the rest cried out in pain.

Yet even Cain couldn’t hide the fact that his arms trembled under the strain.

Maintaining his grip on the Sky Sovereign’s corpse amidst each tidal wave of star radiation was grueling, and each heartbeat scorched a new layer of his flesh.

And then, abruptly, something changed.

Cain’s own heartbeat began to accelerate, thundering in his ears.

His body started to glow with a bright golden light.

The Star Power coursing through his cells surged, rising higher and higher.

Diamon and the others slowed, struck by the sight unfolding before them.

The only explanation for that radiance-accompanied by the blossoming aura they felt-was a cultivation breakthrough.

The most worrying part was that it was a breakthrough to Divine Transformation.

Cain, who had fought them all to a standstill, was only at the Divine Ascension level this whole time?

“Impossible…” Diamon whispered, his voice trembling.

The same thought rang through the minds of every onlooker.

How can a Divine Ascension Master wield such power?

Cain had no intention of explaining the intricacies of his dual cultivation, Primordial Path, or his powerful Ego Wave.

All his focus was locked on the evolution taking place within his body.

At the Divine Ascension Rank, an Astral Rebirth Path of Power cultivator had to transform each cell into a miniature stellar vessel capable of containing and using Star Power.

Once all the cells were converted, the next phase was to condense Star Power and form Star Cores-microscopic spheres smaller than cells-to store and amplify the cosmic energy.

Under normal circumstances, this process required years of meditation and massive stores of resources.

Cain did not have time, so he could only rush things.

As for resources, he had access to the power of a Tier 9 Astral Supremacy Star, forcibly roused from the Sky Sovereign’s corpse.

He couldn’t have asked for a more bountiful wellspring to fuel his breakthrough.
