The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1518
Chapter 1518: Preparations for the ultimate fight (II) Chapter 1518: Preparations for the ultimate fight (II) Cain glanced at the Deus Behemoths in the distance, his gaze cold and emotionless.
Given his need for secrecy, he would not have hesitated to silence them if they had noticed his presence, but it seemed their panic and eagerness to escape had blinded them to everything except the path ahead.
With that small concern out of the way, he rose once more into the sky, eyes continually scanning for new targets as he traveled toward his chosen destination.
During the journey, Cain implanted Leviathan Shadows in five more individuals-three were Divine Transformation Masters, and two were Divine Transcendence Masters.
Of course, he hadn’t done so out of boredom or for random experimentation; each new “host” served as part of his broader plans. After a day and a half of travel, Cain appeared above a sprawling volcanic region-a place quite unlike any other.
Over one hundred volcanoes sprawled across thousands of kilometers, their towering peaks belching thick plumes of ash into the sky.
The oppressive heat pervading the area would have been enough to scorch the skin of any life form below the Divine Transcendence Realm.
But it was not only the heat they needed to fear.
The molten lava in this region was a bizarre, pitch-black substance, a far cry from the usual crimson glow of molten rock.
Its inky hue was not just a visual oddity; this particular lava emitted toxic fumes that suffused the atmosphere.
Merely breathing the air could prove lethal even for a seasoned Divine Transcendence Master if they lingered unprotected.
“The Purgatory Volcanic Range?” the Sky Sovereign’s voice echoed inside Cain’s mind, sounding curious and nostalgic.
“I see this place still exists.
In my era, it was considered certain death for Divine Transformation Masters, and it seems time has only made it worse.” Cain gave a slight nod.
At the moment, the toxins filling the Purgatory Volcanic Range were so potent that they posed a grave risk even to individuals at the Divine Transcendence Rank.
“A place of heat, darkness, and poison,” Cain remarked, a faint smirk lifting the corners of his mouth.
“What better battleground could there be against an enemy whose power is rumored to scorch the skies and boil oceans?” Without a shred of hesitation, Cain descended into the heart of the volcanic region, bracing himself as waves of toxins assaulted him.
He didn’t need to breathe them in for them to infiltrate his system; they seeped through the faintest gaps in his energy defenses, invading his bloodstream.
His Laws and Tier 8 Star Power could only slow the toxins’ spread; they couldn’t neutralize them outright.
Fortunately, Cain had a powerful ally in the form of his Absolute Life Form System.
He quickly issued a mental command.
“System, analyze the toxins in the air and use the [Sub-Atomic Analysis with Energy Manipulation] tool to expel them.” [Task assigned!] The robotic voice of the System echoed calmly, and moments later, Cain felt the toxins’ advance stall.
Slowly but surely, they were expelled from his body, allowing him to focus on more pressing concerns.
With the immediate toxic threat under control, Cain turned his gaze toward the tallest of the volcanoes.
He flew directly to its peak, the intense ambient heat pressing against his protective aura.
Then, without hesitation, he dived into the lava itself.
Even with his extensive heat resistance, the searing molten rock tested his limits.
Still, he pushed downward through churning waves of burning black lava until he found a suitable location deep beneath the surface.
Exerting his Laws to shape and calm the molten environment, he formed a stable capsule of sorts where he placed the Sky Sovereign’s corpse.
At once, waves of Tier 9 Astral Supremacy Star radiation surged outward, but the surrounding lava offered an ideal environment to disperse the heat.

After all, heat was ubiquitous here; the entire place seethed with violent thermal energy.
Satisfied that the radiation was contained, Cain ascended back to the surface.
Rising high into the ash-laden sky, he surveyed the sprawling volcanic range beneath him, eyes narrowed in concentration.
A moment later, he vanished-teleporting into the Second Layer of his [Samsara Arsenal Module].
This dimension would serve as his training ground.
Of course, the idea of simply hiding within the Samsara Arsenal Module until the Karmic Seal’s suppression ended had crossed Cain’s mind.
But he dismissed it; it was not truly feasible.
Entering the [Samsara Arsenal Module] did not erase his presence from the world. He had to leave behind a spatial anchor-hidden though it might be among layers of twisted space.
While a Divine Transcendence Master might never detect it, a Prima Deity almost certainly could.
The moment they located and destroyed that anchor, Cain would be forcibly expelled from the dimension.
Before immersing himself in training, Cain flooded his Soul Dimension with the trove of dark treasures from his spatial ring, giving the Sky Sovereign direct access to begin organizing them for the runic formations.
He was about to begin a rigorous session of cultivation when the phantom’s voice broke the silence.
“Boy, there is one more technique I can teach you.
It will grant you immense power-but it’s a double-edged blade.” Cain paused, turning his attention inward.
His eyes narrowed in keen interest.
He stood at the brink of a life-and-death struggle; his odds of victory were far from guaranteed.
In such circumstances, any additional advantage, no matter how risky, could prove decisive.
“I’m listening,” he said, his tone indicating curiosity and caution.
A complicated expression crossed the Sky Sovereign’s translucent features.
For a few seconds, he seemed reluctant to speak, then finally sighed as though recalling a personal regret.
“It’s called Will Sublimation.
You ignite your willpower and ego through this method, effectively burning them in exchange for an overwhelming surge of combat might.
But be warned-it inflicts tremendous harm upon your Alter-Ego.
Overusing it can lead to dire consequences, akin to what I experienced, where I lost most of my Alter-Ego and barely preserved my core memories.”
